Hi again growmies.
This run is going to be a mixed run, mainly for the purpose of having variation in what medicine I have (Flavours, effects ect)
All of these seeds were germinated directly in to root riot cubes with a sprinkling of mycorrhizal powder and watered very lightly.
The two known cultivars growing are:
Stardawg auto from Fast Buds and also Northern lights auto, also from Fast Buds.
The other two are mystery seeds, these are seeds I've had a while now but they don't have packaging. All seeds I've purchased have been either Fems or Autos.
The one with growth is the single survivor from my previous mystery seed run. She has been translated to a slightly bigger and better fabric pot.
Thank you guys for having a look at my grow diary.
Wish you all happy harvests ✌️
Hi Growmies,
Welcome back to this run.
All the new girls have successfully germinated and are now making their way through seedling. At the time of writing this a couple of them have already grown a couple of sets of new leaves.
The stardawg is struggling to break through past her Cotyledon leaves and has not even produced any of the first leaves. Gunna have to keep an eye on her.
The Northern Lights is growing just fine looks pretty healthy for her age, I image most of the activity now is happening beneath the soil and in the roots.
#4 Is the same story as Northern Lights.
#3 Has been a great plant to allow me to learn alot hands on. I have up until now kept her vegetating. I have learn alot about cannabis and my sort of skill level with various different growing techniques.
I have tried to create a manifold and semi succeeded but not without lossing some colas due to clumsy hands which has taught me a lesson abit how fragile and how much force should be applied. She's been lollipopped, topped and weaved under a SCROG net.
I have just today (Friday) received my new larger tent that I will be growing the other autos in but keeping #3 in this one to flip over to flower.
It also means I now have 3 tents but only 2 lights 🙄 So I will be using the larger tent for flowering and the second biggest tent for veg/autos. Just need to get all the timings correct on my next run 🙂 And the smallest tent for drying
Thank you for stopping by.
Peace ✌️
Hi guys lots of stuff going on with the plants!
Unfortunately I don't not have the time to do the write up just yet but I will be able to do it hopefully early next week.
Thanks for stopping by
Peace
Hi guys,
Welcome back to the mixed grow.
Sorry but the pictures have gone from newest to oldest, which is annoying.
Anyway, I took the plunge and just got rid of the Stardawg as it just wasn't growing or even getting past her cotyledons :(
#3 Is incredible she is happily flowering on her own and is now starting to produce a very nice aroma of Orange/Mango. To me she looks very much like a Sativa heavy hybrid as you can see by her nice long skinny fingered leaves. She has grown out of her SCROG nicely and is on the way to producing 3 very nice colas 😃
Northern lights is also chugging along very nicely, I let her grow about 5 nodes until topping her down to 3, I hope I have done this in time, she has only produce one single pre flower pistil so I assume I'm safe. I've remove the first node of growth and the pinned down nodes 2&3 in the hopes of getting some really nice colas on an even canopy. Left the fan leaves on for now just to help regenerate. Leaves are looking good with the typical fat fingered leaves of an Indica dominant cultivar.
#4 Is doing almost exactly the same as the NL. Still trying to figure out if she is feminised or an auto?
Done the same type of topping to her as the NL.
Got some patches on her leaves but I'm pretty sure that's my fault for not getting all of the neem oil spray off. If any one thinks its a different problem. please let me know .
Thanks again for stopping by growmies
Peace
Hi guys
All my girls are looking great this week 👍
#3 has some lovely flowers building, her bracts are very swollen! Hoping for some fat stinky high grade.
Still has a very tropical smell about her when opening the tent and doing little stem rubs & defoliation.
#4 is showing signs of being a feminised seeds so far but I still think it's about a few days to a week too early to tell 100% but she is also looking great. Responded well to being pinned down and will hopefully have a nice even canopy of buds once flowering. No smell yet.
Northern Lights.
I was quite heavy handed with a single growth shoot and the stem snapped at the node knuckle, I tried to keep her alive by putting tape around the stem but it wasn't enough. Oh well this is all still part of the learning for me.
She is still looking nice and healthy though and her remaining potential colas look good to.
I think I slightly over watered her today causing the small leaf droop but I'm sure she will be fine after a weekend with no water 🤞
Thanks for stopping by growmies, means alot!
Peace ✌️😎
Hello Growmies
This has been a good week for all my girls here, they've all shown good growth and their structure are forming properly now.
Northern Lights has now entered her flowering stage and is showing good health in her leaves, let the stretch begin! She is now being fed a 70/30 mix or the organic Bloom & Grow feed as well as a little top up of MycoBoost & some Wormcasts.
#3 I think has just about finished her stretch and buds are starting to set, she is looking very healthy and happy still, just a shame about the missing 5 potential colas 😅 Oh well it was all in the name of learning. Her smell is amazing! Not too stinky when first opening the tent but her odour from stem rubs is incredible! Lots of tropical fruit smells and now a definite gas smell is coming through... YUM
Still has the long skinny fingered leaves and skinny stems typical of a Sativa, Sativa dominant cultivar.
#4 Is showing plenty of good growth and is growing well in my kind of "Manifold" technique, however I am a bit worried that I over did the defoliation and she could be an auto, which would be bad. She definitely has some small pre-flowers/pistils but I cant tell yet if she is getting ready to flower photo or maybe she is just an autoflower? If anyone can tell please let me know.
Thanks for stopping by and having a look, lots of amazing people on here and their help and support means a lot.
Peace 😎
#4
Hi peeps
Lots of nice growth again this week all girls looking happy.
Northern Lights had a few hiccups mid week with food deficiency (my fault completely) her leaves were clawing and showing small dots, I figured she was very thirsty and lacking in food so I gave her a quarter dose of bloom, worcmasts & mycoboost. She is looking alot less pissed off now.
Really like her nodal spacing , clearly not going to be a big plant but that's not really what I was aiming for with northern lights, more just a nostalgic smoke with good health benefits 🙂
#3 is still flowering and swelling her massive bracts 😂 she looks sometimes like she is dripping with resin.
Plenty happy in her pot, no big feed this week just a small dose of barley and wormcast.
When opening the tent she has quite a faint sweet smell but once you get near her or touch a sugar leaf or small stem rub then she produces some of the most tropical dank smells I have ever smelt. It's beautiful like, Mango, tangerine, slight lemon floor cleaner and a big background of just GAS.... Love it
Not looking forward to trimming but I am very excited to try her out!!!
#4 Is another weird stoned experiment of mine, I have finished all lollipopping (for now 😂) and I've got her stems to about the height I wanted.
I am still slightly unsure whether she is a photo or auto. She is definitely showing signs of wanting to flower but not putting out enough pistils to make clusters. I'm going to leave her in this 18/6 light scheduled tent for another week or so and if she doesn't move into her flowing automatically I will put her in the same tent as #3 (12/12)
She is producing a very strong fake grape smell and a candy smell which are amazing and interesting. Cannot wait to start flowering and seeing what else she has 🤞
Think that's all for now growmies 😀
Thank you for stopping by, I appreciate it!
I have other grows on here so please feel to have a look
Peace ✌️😎
Hello again growmies, hope you are well and get to enjoy your weekend 🙂
Lovely growth again this week. Various terps are starting to appear (very nice mix👍)
Northern Lights: Apart from looking incredibly pissed of she has still put in a good shift.
I think she's mostly still pissed off about the heat, she's been experiencing temps of around 29-32oC most of the week and is also thirsty alot. Being a mostly indica plant and in most descriptions of this cultivar say it's used to a lot cooler/temperate climates I can understand why. Last week she had a Mg deficiency that I believe she is now beginning to bounce back from.
Her odour is low but every now and then she produces the smell of fresh sweet healthy earth (it's alot nicer than it sounds!)
Her resin production and pistal formation has bumped up considerably from last week, some of her top bracts/ calyx are swelling and turning a very nice shade of purple.
She will be fed and watered on Monday along with all other plants in this run.
Cant wait for her to kick in properly with her flowers and I'm excited to smoke her.. NL being one of my top classic smokes for medication values and also I find it a deeply relaxing smoke 👍
#3: WOW every time I go into her tent I am amazed by this mystery seed. All the messing around and learning more about the cannabis plant in general had not stopped her from producing some incredibly stinky, sticky buds 😎😎
She has an incredible terp profile already, very much Mango, orange and a eye opening gas smell!
She is still looking to me like a typical sativa dominant cultivar with her leaves and stems but she is starting to fill up abit now. About 60-70% of her trichs are still crystal like and shiny and I can see where she is still bulking up.
reckon another 3ish weeks before I stop feeding her and then let her express and finish herself off 😏😂
#4: Although not the fastest growing plant ( probably because of my mass defoliation) she is still growing strong.
Taken well to being pinned and twisted always bounces back.
She is most definitely showing signs of wanting to flower and I think I will put her in the 12/12 maybe late next week if the week after.
Her smell is still very very nice.
She has this powerful grape smell that I love along with a fruit punch and creamy undertones. Depending on harvest and how she looks she might become my first try at monstercropping 😎because her smell and plant strength are really impressive.
I think that covers the bulk of it and I'm sorry if im just rambling on (I get really high before doing these diaries 😋) . Still got so much to learn but I am really loving doing this!
Thank you for stopping by and having a look, I appreciate it, Alot!!
I have other diaries on here too if you want to check them out 😀
Peace growmies ✌️😎
Hi growmies! Happy Friday and I hope you all have a lovely weekend 🙂
This week for this mixed grow has gone well, no major accidents or hiccups which is great 👍😅
NORTHERN LIGHTS:
She seems to be slowly recovering from her problems last week, especially now as the temperatures have gone down to a more normal heat.
She has also started to bulk up abit now which is good, producing some very faint but pretty colours around her buds sort of light pinks and purples mixed with green does make her look abit like her namesake 😎
Her smell is still discreet until you disturb her (which is good!) And she has this lovely fresh foresty smell mixed with some sweet hash... Very very nice smell.
Her leaves still aren't looking great but she is looking better and alot less pissed of than last week 😅
This week I introduced some live worms to some of my plants which I found quite exciting 😁😁 this one being a plant I did put them in!
Overall she is back on the right track, buds are fattening. Not expecting big yields but I never was, yield wasn't the point of this mixed grow 🙂
#3: She is still looking happy, not much activity other than buds swelling and pistils finishing off, she is now at about 20% clear trichomes the rest being cloudy but no ambers so just a little while longer yet. She had her last light feed of nutrients on Monday (I will still be giving her Myco Boost and some ground barely for abit) just to help the microbiology in the soil 😎
She stinks sooooo good, I know you are not supposed to touch the buds but I really can't help it she smells incredible and is very very sticky! Her scent is still very much Mango/Orange with Gas and floor cleaner.
Very excited to try her!!
#4: I put her in the small flowering tent with #3 on Tuesday and she has responded brilliantly! Nice amount of stretch going on with some nice new growth 👍 looking happy and healthy where she is, can't wait to see/smell what she's going to be like in flower. Right now if you disturb or stem rub she still has a very grape like smell but I'm also getting a ripe banana smell which is very nice too.
Overall I'm very happy with all of these girls this week 👍👍 looking forward to seeing what next week holds
Thank you for stopping by, really appreciate the support and getting to talk to some amazing people on here!
I have other diaries currently active too so please check those out of you want.
I update my diaries every Friday afternoon (UK)
Peace ✌️😎
Hi growmies, happy Friday I hope you all had a good week and get to enjoy the weekend.
#3: Is now and the last part of flowering, she has not been fed anything just been watered with a small amount of MycoBoost dry ammendment.
She is now producing amber trichs and I would estimate the amount to be 5-10%
Oddly she still has very dark green leaves but is now kicking out a proper stench of orange, Mango & floor cleaner. Incredible smell.
One of her colas has fattened out very nice with some good size dense sticky buds. The other two are slightly looser but contain really fat and super dense golf ball like buds.
I really cannot wait to be able to try her out!!!
#4: Has responded amazingly to being flipped, she is praying to the light everyday and is packing on some good vertical growth with very happy looking new growsites. I feel like she has certainly come to life more during this week!
She is now starting to produce more of the grape smell mixed with a slight cookie/bakery vanilla smell which is very sweet indeed.
Long time left for her but if she continues thriving like this then I reckon she will be giving me a nice yield (for a 5 litre pot 😂)
Northern Lights: Lets start with the good....
Her aroma is amazing!! A proper old school sweet earthy smell that I love and brings back lots of good memories for me 🙂 she has started to produce very light purple colours within her buds and pistils which is spot on to how I remember Northern lights looking back in the day. Abit more bulking up is needed, especially on some of the lower growth but so far her buds are looking and smelling really good to me especially for a plant in a 5 litre pot!
Now unfortunately she is having big big problems with her leaves. Lots of orange spots, leaves crisping out and dying, she still looks as pissed of as she did a few weeks back... Not good
I have tried to implement many different remedies and took advice from.some of you amazing guys on here but so far nothing has touched it so here's what I know so far....
PH is stable and solid, the same as all my other plants growing in the same medium and conditions.
I've added CAL-MAG as it also looked like it may have been a deficiency, no change.
She has been getting enough of the Bloom & Bloom 2 through the her flowering period so I doubt very much it's a PK problem.
There was a small infestation of gnat fly's a good few weeks ago but I introduced some predatory nematodes as it happend and not seen any since, could this of caused permanent damage?
I believe also that she may of struggled alot from the heatwaves we encountered a few weeks back and maybe hasn't recovered since? 🤷♂️ I dunno
Either way I'm having to remove alot of leaves due to necrosis.
Anyone got any thoughts?
Thank you for stopping by, really appreciate the support and getting to talk to some amazing people on here!
I have other diaries currently active too so please check those out of you want.
I update my diaries every Friday afternoon (UK)
Peace ✌️😎
Hi growmies I hope you are all well and get to enjoy your weekend.
#3: Has been able to produce some more complexity to her smell which is very nice (A darker fruity smell but a nice smooth fresh orange smell that is now the most prominent)
she will be chopped very soon, I'm just waiting for a few more amber trichs 👍
#4 is doing extremely well! She looks soo happy and is always praying!
Managed to get a couple of clones from her to re veg so fingers crossed they pull through 🤞
She is giving off a lovely smell of ripe bananas aswell as grape. Very interesting.
NL: Unfortunately I think she might be beyond saving. I think I should take responsibility for something but I don't know what? She has been given the exact same environment, soil, water & feed (just adjusted the food accordingly)
I think I'm going to chop her early to create some space in the grow area and I don't think she can be saved.
Very unfortunate as she has got some lovely purple colouring on her buds and a very sweet earthy smell just like the NL of the past.
Thank you for stopping by I really do appreciate it.
Peace my friends ✌️😎
Hi Growmies,
This has been a good week and the end of the growth cycle for two of my girls:
NL Unfortunately had to be cut down a week or so before I would of liked due to not being healthy. No matter what I did the damage was seemingly too far along.
However... For a plant grown in just a 5litre pot she has given me some lovely buds that I know will be of great use to me.
I've always liked Northern Lights since I very first tried it. Very good medically in more ways than one 👍
She was hung to dry in the dark for 6 days in total and has come out looking pretty good! Plenty of trichomes and the lovely fresh familiar smell of sweetness and a lovely earthy soily smell.
I expect these flavours and bud quality to improve alot in the curing jar (62%) and can't wait to have a proper smoke with her 🤞
#3 has finally been chopped down and wow what a journey she has had!
She endured many of my mistakes in her earlier life, I was definitely using this plant to experiment and learn from.
All of her buds are rock soils and covered in frost 😀
She smells and looks incredible! Very much an exotic fresh orange smell with a distinctive gas and cleaner smell after the orange. She has been chopped today and put up to hang for around a week. I'm expecting big things from this mystery plant and I'm very much excited to see the effects she brings.
I'm going to call her Purple Oranges from now... Not very creative but it's exactly what she is to me.
I may update these two cultivars again during the next week or I will probably just save it for their harvest pages 🙂
#4 Is really powering on now, lovely growth and formation to her. She looks very happy as she is so I will not change anything until needed. Not much of a smell yet but she does release a definite banana and sweet skunk smell when disturbed.
Thank you growmies for stopping by and looking at my diary, it means alot. And thank you to all the good people I've spoke to here, you are all very supportive and friendly so thank you.
Peace ✌️😎
