Hi Growmies,
Welcome back to this run.
All the new girls have successfully germinated and are now making their way through seedling. At the time of writing this a couple of them have already grown a couple of sets of new leaves.
The stardawg is struggling to break through past her Cotyledon leaves and has not even produced any of the first leaves. Gunna have to keep an eye on her.
The Northern Lights is growing just fine looks pretty healthy for her age, I image most of the activity now is happening beneath the soil and in the roots.
#4 Is the same story as Northern Lights.
#3 Has been a great plant to allow me to learn alot hands on. I have up until now kept her vegetating. I have learn alot about cannabis and my sort of skill level with various different growing techniques.
I have tried to create a manifold and semi succeeded but not without lossing some colas due to clumsy hands which has taught me a lesson abit how fragile and how much force should be applied. She's been lollipopped, topped and weaved under a SCROG net.
I have just today (Friday) received my new larger tent that I will be growing the other autos in but keeping #3 in this one to flip over to flower.
It also means I now have 3 tents but only 2 lights 🙄 So I will be using the larger tent for flowering and the second biggest tent for veg/autos. Just need to get all the timings correct on my next run 🙂 And the smallest tent for drying
Thank you for stopping by.
Peace ✌️
Hi matey. The discolouring could be down to needing calmag , well more mg really. L.e.d is known to leech it from the plants as does coco too. I have the same issue just starting to show out more so have added 10ml calmag to the 10L watering. I am using megacrip and shogun products in my l.o.s so rely more on them than the life in the pots at the moment ( can switch it back to alive with a recharge and life-cycle) avoids the greedy needs mid flower and my los not keeping up due to smaller pot sizes then recommended 200L at 60L. Use it for the water movement mainly now. A clever or similar cover crop can also give great results and help with mulching/slower water evaporation too.
@UKPersonal420,my pleasure mate. Tou can grind soneneggshells upnafter putting them into the oven to brown off a bit. Grind it up to a dust and add this to the soil. Free amendments and still all natural. Wash the shells out before oven drying though. Works a treat.
@Ganjagrandaddy, Hey man, thanks again for commenting and providing valuable information👍
Yes I believe you are right with the MG being a problem but I currently do not have any Organic cal mag other than my dry ammendments like wormcasts and the grow/bloom nutrients. She is also under a Mars Hydro LED that does say plants will need more cal mag under it. I recently just spent all my "growing money" on other items so I'm hoping that with a good old feeding of the wormcasts along with the other dry ammendments that she recovers abit better 🤞
The other plants do not look as bad even after getting that mini heatwave last week... Thankfully.
I have some mulch and cover crop on the way so I'll be making sure the soil is more protected then.
Thanks again for stopping by mate, loving your diaries by the way. Great detail and videos!
Peace ✌️😎
Hey these are looking great! If any thing what I usually will do if they start off slow I will do a half feed with advanced a+b coco from what I’ve learned! Tbh I’m thinking of switching nutes to as they are kind of week for late veg the Npk ratio doesn’t seem to do it even when I go over??! But none of the less and maybe try germinating in a bit of great white and they usually pop with in 15/24hr max buddy of good genetics!!! Add me on IG for way more content!! @NEXTDOORGROWER
@UKBUDDOCTOR,
Hey growmie,
Thanks for the good advice!
I've heard good things about great white so that's definitely on the shopping list 🙂
Thanks for commenting and happy harvests 👍
@lovely_neighbours, Hey growmie,
I found these at my local garden centre but you can get them online. They are called garden pegs and it's best to get the galvanized ones 🙂
Thanks for stopping by
As xmcrazy as it sounds, have you inspected the leaves undersides dormant "friends". It is ideal spidermite tine for us uk tribes. Certainly looks ready to rock now.
@Ganjagrandaddy, Yeah I've checked with a loupe and not found any intruders but there was alot of them a few weeks back. Might be residual damage? She is just doing her second run of pistils now and is looking okay in her buds but I think those leaves are essentially dead at this point.
Great update UK. Lots of info and some great pics to follow your thinking and planned organics. Gnats are a pain in the arse and need dealing with very fast. They can each lay 100-200 eggs and gain number . I used a powder that you top dress with. Instant killing adults and emerging babies too but has no I'll effects to plant agorathin I think it is called. Works brilliant and now no gnats anywhere at all for 2 harvests since. Love what your doing . Keep up the good work mate. Temps back to reasonable now thankfully.
@Ganjagrandaddy, Thank you mate 🙂 so far so good with the organic switch, especially now I've got some mulch going.
Yeah I really hate them, got some nematodes on the way to treat them so hopefully with the mulch and Pearlite I can reduce their numbers for a few days until nematodes arrive.
I'll have a look at that agorathin now, is it organic? Can you store it for a good amount of time?
Thanks again growmie appreciate it and yes hopefully now the temps should go back to normal 👍
Low humidity is a problem for me at the moment and it's causing slightly slower grow I think. Any tips on a cheap humidifier?
Peace ✌️😎
