Hey guys/gals welcome to my first grow diary! Well it's week nine and it's still πŸ”₯ in my tent. So I decided to change my light from the philizon 600w to a Viparspectra vs1000 to try to help the flowering and see if it would cool my tent down some. It helped by a degree or two but anything helps! The 🌸 were responding to the Viparspectra very well until I missed a watering day and she got to dry from my blazing tent. So when I came home and checked on my girls I noticed my Northern lights is lime green and the bottom leaves are yellow and falling off. So did some research and it's nitrogen and a lack of other nutrients that cause the loss of color. So gave a heavy feeding. The only problem with that is the top layer of soil absorbed water and then it all ran to the bottom of the pot and into the runoff tray so I let them soak for 10 mins and then drained runoff. So the top and bottom are moist and I can push on the side of pot and u can feel it's dry soil but the pot feels heavy. So I will wait it out and feed again. I have noticed the color coming back to the Northern lights so their is improvement! No issues with pineapple auto! UNTIL..... Don't use neem oil on your plants in flower!!! Before u wonder yes! I sprayed them in dark cycle. They soaked over 11 hrs before lights on. It literally says on the bottle u can use up till harvest day! So I drenched them in neem oil lastnight because I believe the bugs are causing a lot of my deficiency problems. Got up this morning and bugs are still flying all around. The neem oil is a bust! Also checked the plants as soon as lights on this morning to make sure oil was absorbed and noticed all the pistols on both plants are fried. They were white and plump yesterday so that's all I can think it could be. I did read an article that also says that neem oil shouldn't be used in flower because it has chemicals toxic to humans. Here I copied the article: Neem Oil will leave an unpleasant taste/smell on buds when used to treat flowering plants, so don’t let this stuff get near your buds! There’s also some evidence Neem oil may be harmful to humans so use with care! That being said, Neem oil is an all-natural remedy that is very effective against many different types of bugs and mold. You will need a mister (also called a β€œOne-Hand Pressure Sprayer”) to spray all the leaves evenly since neem oil and water can separate easily. *Bugs* so I've said this before but in case your just reading this week of my diary I bought some cheap potting soil from Walmart for this grow. I spray my sapling with a spray bottle for the first 7 days for water and on day 2 spraying the soil I noticed little tiny white bugs crawling all over the soil and from then on it's been a battle that I'm losing. I have now ordered some dematious earth sure I didn't spell that right! Hoping this will help. We shall see. Well till next week! Best of luck and Happy Growing!πŸ˜ŽπŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ 10/10/21 Water Ph 6.1 Ppm 180 Solution temp 73.1F 10/15/21 5.3ml Micro 4.7ml Grow 6.1ml Bloom Ph 6.5 Ppm 1032 Solution temp 73.1Β°F

Can anyone tell me if this is going to effect my flowers? Should I cut these leaves out? What can I do to correct it? I left a pretty good description in week 7 of the battle with this plant.

Ola amigo tudo bem? Espero que sim. Isso parece muito uma deficiΓͺncia de potΓ‘ssio. NΓ£o deves retirar as folhas, deixa as folhas porque estΓ£o boas, nΓ£o estΓ£o totalmente danificadas. Depois de dares uma dose de potΓ‘ssio com ph bem regulado, o problema nΓ£o vai crescer mais e as folhas aproveitam se. ParabΓ©ns pelo cultivo e abraΓ§o

Not 100% sure but they could be Springtails( growdiaries.com/grow-questions/39905-white-strange-insects ). The other is like ojeterpelon said mealey bug. If you can see how they react when in a jar of water. If they spring(shoot) really fast across the water around 1" at a time they most likely are. In which case they are harmless to the plant, but usually stress out the grower πŸ˜ƒ. As for the look, Your correct in you just flushed them and now they are hungry. When I need to do a flush once I complete the flush I finish it with a light dose of the usual feed to make sure they have something. Good luck and Happy Growing

Natural predators are the way, tried to find them in your country. I bumped into Thrips second time, bought 25k army ;) You can't spray anything on flowering weed, that lesson I learned not once, with neem oil too , that's how I found out live bug sales ;))) Good luck !

@Wackytabacky_420, if you will maintain health, those girls will go to the end easy, if you chop now - you have nothing to smoke with the taste of neem oil ;) it need two weeks to break down at least. Check : growdiaries.com/diaries/80429-sweet-skunk-fast-version-killer-kush-fast-version-sweet-cheese-fast-version-grow-journal-by-asnoriu/week/479921. I managed to push them to the end. Never chop early ! ;)

@AsNoriu, do you think they are still smokeable or should I chop them?

Hey! I saw that your question is already closed, but I wanted to answer, I will answer here. it's worth raising the ppm level! use the NPK calculator. happy growing)
ziliboba
zilibobacommented3 years ago
@Wackytabacky_420, You can use, for example, by this calculator http://www.gasforus.com/npk_calculator.html Before changing the PPM should clarify the composition of your soil. If the soil is low, you have strong deficiencies. If there are many fertilizer (organic or mineral) in the soil, then it may be burn. good luck)

Wackytabacky_420commented3 years ago
@ziliboba, not sure what or where the npk calculator is! I keep trying to raise my Ppm but my plants are super sensitive to nutrients and show signs of nutrient burn every feeding. What Ppm should I be shooting for at each stage? I do thank u for any help or knowledge. Best of luck and Happy growing!πŸ˜ŽπŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

Bugs are the worst! I like to use slow release nematodes in the soil and I like to use the large Yellow two sided sticky traps to go over the top of the pots, two or three covering most of the soil making it harder for anything to come up or go down from the soil.
