Blue Gelato 41 DWC

BG 41 2 is the first plant to show roots even though it’s seems to be lagging behind the other . Let see if it catches up now that a root is catching bubbles . Now under Spiderfarmer sf -1000. 17/10- Roots showing on both plants .should be touching water by tomorrow. changed out nutrient solution and set to 150 ppm at ph 5.8 picked up some fulonics to try out . added to BG 41 2 to see if there's much of a difference between growth/nutrient uptake

Bit of leaf curling going on either due to light or low humidity, raised light a bit anyway . Noticed a brown spot on one of the leaves on #1 , putting it down to the ph dropping down to 5 and locking out a macro for a day , rest of the plant is fine so not too worried , added fulonics to both this week along side h2o2 as the roots were being slightly stained by it . #1 was growing stronger even without fulonics , So we’ll see how it goes might just ditch it all together when I start running with cannazym

Lost a couple of days of growth this week due to the dreaded slime . decided to put all the experimenting on hold and go back to the bread and butter solution, chopped all slime covered roots, which seemed to make for some new decent lateral root growth .new roots came out thick and fast and seem to be holding up pretty well for now. started the whole ice bottle routine just to keep it in check until theres a good solid root system. have been giving them a bit of a bending to give the lowers some of that holy light. will be topping or fimming this week to start the shaping . Glad to see the ppm starting to drop a bit, so bumped it up and hoping on some good growth this week.

Decent enough weeks growth , no more slime and roots are holding up good . Moved them into tent so that’s good news in a humidity sense . Perfect plant stance after a night so decided to prune a bit as Im going to run with scrog . Hassle with the buckets I know ,but I’m going to buy a transfer pump to live like somewhat of a boss .might make life easier . Plants have been eating all week so bumping accordingly , some rust spots on older growth which I’m Hoping is only hanging around from the slime / dodgy ph days . Can ditch the ph up from the lineup as I’m now adding some silica for training and it’s a strong base .

Happy enough with where they are , the increase in humidity gave them a real kick . At the stage where you can nearly watch them grow . Gonna throw the scrog net in real soon , a week too late but didn’t have much free time . Constantly eating every day which is good .roots are holding up nicely , no more issues so far .probably another week or 2 and I’ll flip the proverbial switch . Unless I hit a brick wall in the mean time . BG 41 is a much better candidate for the scrog . Her counterpart is a bit on the squat side .

Finally got the net in a few days ago , plants are doing ok with it . BG 41 is a model for the scrog net , nice open limbs and fills it quickly , but then on the other hand BG 42 already feels oily and has a more pungent smell when training . Nutrient levels have plateau’d at about 900 ppm , pushed it a bit more but they were rejecting , brought it back to 900 and I’m sure that’s how it will stay until flowering . Added some green planet rezin to the mix , says to start adding in the last 2 weeks of veg to prep plant for flowering . Obviously I’ll never know if it’s worth it until I do a clone side by side grow ,which I think I’m gonna do on the next run . See if all the nutrient lines gimmicks are better than just keeping it simple .

Light schedule flipped on the 29th so we’ll mark it down as the last week of veg . Plants are happy enough, some of the old leaves are looking heavy on the nitrogen , but new growth is the ideal shade to be hitting flowering with. Drinking a lot of water so unfortunately they’re simmering in a hot solution for a few hours . Added some bud igniter from advanced nutrients . Claiming quicker flips . Also added some roots excelurator silver for the first few weeks of flower . Constantly trimming and tucking and hoping to fill out the net with the stretch. Ended up with a few too many tops so started plucking some so they’re not competing for light and touching . Let’s hope for healthy flower phase

Decent week , I’m guessing they’re just about done stretching , maybe just a few more days . As expected BG 41 filled the net very nicely . But BG 42 still smells much better . Flowering pretty quickly . BG 41 a lot faster too. Drinking lots of water and still not calling for much more than 900ppm right now . I’ll start adding a couple of hundred ppms of monster bloom soon with maybe a reduction in base nutes as there’s plenty of N to go around. constantly tucking ,and picking. I'm a fan of a long steady constant defol. so I'm usually picking here and there up until harvest .

Could have done with the fire department pumping water into these buckets last week , they were drinking so much water it was a real battle against the ppms . They were nosediving straight for a bad toxicity. Some slight tip burning . Not drinking as much now so ppms are manageable again , they got down to about 400 before eating again. Hoping the worst is over and it’s somewhat plain sailing . Bg42 came out of the traps flying in terms of trichome production . No doubt she’ll be the frostiest of the two already planning a bigger recirculating system to make for easier work and healthier plants .could also do with some more light in the tent , few shady spots going on

Another busy week with these , dealing with some artic grip so it was a couple of cold nights before a heater was in , on a timer for lights off so all good again . These haven’t been calling for much food , hoping by reducing the base they’ll cannibalize Themselves . More so BG41 , shes looking a bit unhappy but still growing well . More PK 13/14 than base as there’s some purpling showing so not sure if it’s pk def or the frigid temps but it’s time to get it in there

These ones didn’t enjoy me having a couple of days off and suffered a bit of festive lockout , came back to mid 4 ph , back battling the rising ppms . BG 41 took it the hardest as she wasn’t too hot anyway . But oddly enough still the biggest fastest flowerer in the garden and has caught up on resin production . Both have gobbled up a decent bit of N from the reserves so hoping to get these eating properly again soon .

Decided to change up the brand of nutrient all together on these , ppms were constantly rising and the plants were losing out on all sorts of nutrients . Decided to do one plant at a time just to check and the first started eating right away so applied to the second , ppms have been dropping steadily since initial application . No wild ph swings which is nice . So hoping these might have a happy enough ending .

Not a bad week , plants were eating the solution all week . Reduced the ppms and cut out base and gave a light enough feeding of monster bloom as they’re going for the final push . BG 41 isn’t looking fantastic after its life so far but is still packing away and smelling good . BG 42 is looking a bit smaller but nicer bud formation , also smelling good . I’ll break out the microscope next week for a few close ups
