This is my 12th grow on growdiaries and I'm going to run it similar to my last grow. I am also running a Time-lapse which I will do at the end. So there are 4 different strains which will have a diary each.
The strains are all tester seeds so I don't have any information on them.
I have been looking for a new light for this grow and have gone with the Viparspectra XS2000, this is probably the limit my main tent could take so I may have to upgrade my extractor fan. The light is temporarily setup finishing of a plant in the main tent and so far temps seem good.
For germination I soak the seed in water for 24hr before placing into a rockwool cube that's been soaked for 20 mins in ph 5.8 water with hydroguard at 0.5ml/L. Then placed in propergation dome under my small T5 lights in the secret jardin dp60. I keep the lights on until they emerge, some people like leaving in darkness, I like them getting light straight away.
31/10/21 Sunday started soaking seed in 50ml water.
1/11/21 Monday soaked rockwool for 20 mins (0.5ml/L hydroguard) in 150ml Ec 0.193 PH 6.1
3/11/21 Wednesday she's above ground and shell off.
4/11/21 Thursday This is day 0 of the grow.
Thanks to Fastbuds for sending me the testers.
Thanks to anyone who stops by to read or follow. Comments are welcome.
Hopefully back with an update in a week.
So this week was a fairly standard 1st week growing.
5/11/21 Friday. 100ml Ec .194 Ph 5.5
Run 85ml Ec .349 Ph 6.4
8/11/21 Monday. 50ml Ec .215 Ph 5.8
Run 45ml Ec .285 Ph 6.4
11/11/21 Thurs. 50ml Ec .215 Ph 5.8
Run 40ml Ec .300 Ph 6.3
Then transplanted into 3 inch cube soaked in 400ml Ec .370 Ph 5.9
Plan for next week is to get the main tent sorted. Busy week.
Week 2 on the grow seemed to go OK. FBT2202 looks o.k. Day 12 she got a feed of Ec 0.4 PH 5.6 and the run off was high Ec 0.7 PH 7.4, despite that she seems OK and the plan is to get her under the Viparspectra xs2000 next week.
That was the plan, as I'm already half way through week 3 I know what the outcome is.
Rather then abandon the diary's for this grow I'm starting a fresh seed of each tester except 2204 as I have ran out of them. When the replacements hit 3 weeks I'll update each of these diaries with the progress up to week 3.
Shame really as upto day 15 she looked o.k.
FBT 2202 the replacement. Something went wrong before and the grow needed restarting. I had 2 seeds left and one of them didn't germinate but at least one did so I can continue this diary. I have put pictures in this week's slot of the replacement FBT2202 from start to end of week 3. So far she has done OK. The conditions for the 1st week wasn't the best as humidifier had broken but once I got that replaced she started coming on nicely. I don't normally like putting plants straight under a LED but I put it under on day 0 with the light 29 inch away on 50% power. She was getting around 200 umol from the light. On day 12 the light has been turned up to 62% and she is now getting 300 umol. I'm really impressed with this light so far, I have germinated a other replacement after this and put it straight under it. For the 1st 2 weeks she was on the previous weeks feeds and this week she has been on the above. So far she is healthy.
Hopefully will be back in a weeks time with a update.
Take it easy.
FBT 2202 has showed sex this week and expect her to start flowering any day now. The system has been flushed twice this week as I'm sure there is a ph problem with one of the plants. This one hasn't had to many problems until the 1st flush where she started developing pale lower leaves, she went worse after 2nd flush. She is the tallest in the grow so far, I may have to do a little training soon on this one. Hopefully I haven't messed this one up flushing it with the others. Next week I'm switching over to bloom formula. The Viparspectra xs2000 is back onto 62.5% because anything above that really starts to lift the temps up, so I have lowered the light a bit more and the plant is now getting a ppfd of 370 and DLI of 32.
Hopefully back in a week with some good progress.
Take it easy.
This week tester 2202 has started to flower. Since I changed from a flood dripper to my drip ring she has looked a bit better. I'm thinking the problem with the flood dripper is the small area it waters, and due to this the ph in the medium isn't very stable, since changing it the ph has been spot on. Early on in the week outside temps Rose a bit and I had to turn the power on the Viparspectra xs2000 from 62% to 50% and lowered the light so she was still getting the same ppfd. The early problems with ph have hurt this one. I think she will stretch a bit more so I have bent over the main cola to let more light hit the lower buds.
Hopefully back in a week.
Take it easy.
Tester 2202 isn't as stunted as my other testers which says to me I didn't have my ph set correctly on tester 2201 and 2203 and I got it better for this one and even better on the wedding glue. That will teach me for rushing prepping my stuff. She has continued flowering well this week with a few more pistils coming out. She has been sat under the Viparspectra xs2000 and getting a even coverage of 350ppfd. Don't think this one is going to be a big yield either but hopefully it's going to be quality.
Hopefully back in a week.
Take it easy
This week tester 2202 has continued doing her thing. She still not in the best off health but I am seeing purple coming out so usually for me anything with a purple genetic tend to be lite feeders. She has still been under 350ppfd from the Viparspectra xs2000. Next week I'm going to lower the N and ramp up the P and K.
Hopefully back in a week.
Take it easy.
Tester 2202 has really started to show some nice purple/pink colours in the flowers. She has still been getting around 350ppfd this week from the Viparspectra xs2000 on 50% power. Still not the healthiest in the grow but I know where I went wrong.
Hopefully back in a week.
Take it easy.
FBT 2202 has been pulling some nice colours out this week. Still a shame I didn't have my ph close enough at the beginning. During the week the higher flowers have been getting between 500 and 600ppfd and the lower flowers have been getting between 350 and 400ppfd. Starting getting a dank smell from the flowers now but a different plants smell is taking over the grow space.
Hopefully back in a week.
Take it easy.
FBT2202 is the 3rd plant in the grow to hit 70 days. She has been getting the same amount of light as last week. She is a week behind tester 2201 and isn't quite ready for ripen so she will stay connected to the wilma system with wedding glue for at least another week.
Hopefully back in a week.
Take it easy.
FBT2202 has been doing her thing this week. She has been under the same conditions as last week and is doing fine. I will leave her a few more days before switching to ripen, so not long left.
Hopefully back in a week.
Take it easy.
FBT 2202 has been on ripen this week. Still getting the same light output as last week. She is throwing out some nice colour still. I'm going to start flushing this one next week and hopefully harvest in the next 7 to 10 days.
Hopefully back in a week.
Take it easy.
Tester 2202 is in her final stretch, she has been flushed all week and is looking good. I'm getting a fruity smell from this one I think, bit hard to distinguish which plant is giving off what smell, I'm getting a hint of strawberry or banana or vanilla maybe a bit of cherry. Plan is to wait for a few days and give her the chop at weekend so next entry should be harvest part 1.
Back soon.
Take it easy.
FBT2202 got a slightly better start then the others as I started this a week later and was already rectifying my Ph problem. She went from seed to harvest in 93 days and grew with no problems except the ones I caused. This has got some nice colours to it and a fruity smell, has a decent amount of trichomes, not as many as tester 2201 and 2202 so I'm not sure of this ones been crossed with gorilla glue.
This one took a little longer to trim then the other testers because it wasn't stunted as much because I was correcting the ph when she was started. I'm expecting this one to be the biggest yield out of the 3 testers I tried.
Big thank you to Fastbuds for letting me test these genetics, I apologise for them not being a decent representation of there true potential but thats down to me.
