This is my 12th grow on growdiaries and I'm going to run it similar to my last grow. I am also running a Time-lapse which I will do at the end. So there are 4 different strains which will have a diary each.
The strains are all tester seeds so I don't have any information on them.
I have been looking for a new light for this grow and have gone with the Viparspectra XS2000, this is probably the limit my main tent could take so I may have to upgrade my extractor fan. The light is temporarily setup finishing of a plant in the main tent and so far temps seem good.
For germination I soak the seed in water for 24hr before placing into a rockwool cube that's been soaked for 20 mins in ph 5.8 water with hydroguard at 0.5ml/L. Then placed in propergation dome under my small T5 lights in the secret jardin dp60. I keep the lights on until they emerge, some people like leaving in darkness, I like them getting light straight away.
31/10/21 Sunday started soaking seed in 50ml water.
1/11/21 Monday soaked rockwool for 20 mins (0.5ml/L hydroguard) in 150ml Ec 0.193 PH 6.1
3/11/21 Wednesday she's above ground but shell still on so wet shell to help soften it up.
4/11/21 Thursday helped the shell come off. This is day 0 of the grow.
Thanks to Fastbuds for sending me the testers.
Thanks to anyone who stops by to read or follow. Comments are welcome.
Hopefully back with an update in a week.
So this week was a fairly standard 1st week growing. Thought this one was not going to make the 1st week with them 1st dodgy leaves but she rooted real well.
5/11/21 Friday. 100ml Ec .194 Ph 5.5
Run 100ml Ec .382 Ph 6.4
8/11/21 Monday. 50ml Ec .215 Ph 5.8
Run 40ml Ec .290 Ph 6.7
11/11/21 Thurs. 50ml Ec .215 Ph 5.8
Run 40ml Ec .281 Ph 6.4
Then transplanted into 3 inch cube soaked in 400ml Ec .370 Ph 5.9
Plan for next week is to get the main tent sorted. Busy week.
Week 2 on the grow seemed to go OK. FBT2203 looks bad. Day 12 she got a feed of Ec 0.4 PH 5.6 and the run off was high Ec 0.7 PH 7.4
As I'm already half way through week 3 I know what the outcome is.
Rather then abandon the diary's for this grow I'm starting a fresh seed of each tester except 2204 as I have ran out of them. When the replacements hit 3 weeks I'll update each of these diaries with the progress up to week 3.
Shame really as upto day 14 she looked o.k.
FBT 2203 the replacement. Something went wrong before and the grow needed restarting. I had 2 seeds left and one of them didn't germinate but at least one did so I can continue this diary. I have put pictures in this week's slot of the replacement FBT2203 from start to end of week 3. So far apart from being droopy for a bit she has done OK. The conditions for the 1st 2 weeks wasn't the best as humidifier had broken but once I got that replaced she started coming on nicely. I don't normally like putting plants straight under a LED so I put it under on day 5 with the light 29 inch away on 50% power. She was getting around 200 umol from the light. On day 21 the light has been turned up to 62% and she is now getting 300 umol. I'm really impressed with this light so far, I have germinated the other replacements after this and put them straight under it. For the 1st 2 weeks she was on the previous weeks feeds and this week she has been on the above.
Hopefully will be back in a weeks time with a update.
Take it easy.
The end of last week I thought she was bouncing back but that soon changed. I have left her alone most of the week to see if she would bounce back again. I moved food emitter away to see if that would help. Next week I'll probably flush her with a cleaning solution to see if I can sort her out, it's most likely a root problem. So hopefully this one will be back next week and not give up on me.
Take it easy.
This tester has some root problem so during the week I flushed the grow to see if I can help her out as she is fucked. Had a dig around they clay balls and the roots looked fine if not a little to wet. So I'm cutting the feeding times down a bit incase they are staying really to wet for to long. The whole grow also went 24hr without a feed by mistake and she perked up a little. Come to the conclusion there is nothing really I can do to save her so I'm just going to leave her be and concentrate on the others. Should at least get a gram out of her at the end. Shit happens, not had much luck with this strain at, the 1st one went down the same path.
Hopefully back in a week with some massive recovery and a huge improvement.
Take it easy.
Tester 2203 has actually looked a bit better as the week has gone on. I changed the blue flood dripper to a home made drip ring and that seemed to help more, perhaps the blue ones don't wet enough of an area. She has been under 350ppfd this week. Day 38 she went onto the above feed. She is stunted and I don't expect her to grow much taller but at least she hasn't got worse.
Hopefully back in a week.
Take it easy.
This tester has been throwing out pistils all week. As I thought she is going to be stunted. Shame really but I'm fairly certain I didn't stabilise the ph of the rockwool and the rocks enough at start and the drip ring would have probably been better at the beginning rather then the flood dripper. She has been getting a ppfd of 350 all week from the Viparspectra xs2000. I get such a even coverage with this light because of my small tent, the light is on 50% power and I don't think I'm going to be able to increase it much more then that.
Hopefully back in a week.
Take it easy.
Another week down and tester 2203 is doing OK. Obviously still stunted but there is nothing I can do about that now apart from make sure I get a good start in future and pay attention to what I'm doing. She has just been bulking up most of this week. Day 56 I removed 2 big lower fan leaves to get more light to the lower buds. The Viparspectra xs2000 hasn't been touched since last week so she has been getting about 350ppfd all week. Still a bit gutted about this one because she looks like the buds are going to be nice but not many of them.
Hopefully back in a week.
Take it easy.
Tester 2203 has been bulking most the week. I removed a few more leaves to let more light penetrate the lower part. She has still been getting 350ppfd from the Viparspectra xs2000 on 50% power. When I touched the leaves the smell is awesome, can't put my finger on what it smells like properly but it reminds me of something.
I lowered N this week and increased P and K.
Hopefully back in a week
Take it easy.
FBT 2203 is the 1st plant of the grow to hit 70 days old. I'm really gutted I didn't get a good start on this one, as she is looking real nice and the smell is just the best thing going, last week I thought she smelled like banana and a sweet shop, this week I'm smelling vanilla and rosemary. She started the week under 350ppfd from the Viparspectra xs2000 on 50% power and mid week I lowered the light so she is getting 380ppfd. Definitely getting more then a joints worth, which is what I thought I'd get when I realised I stunted her.
Hopefully back in a week.
Take it easy.
Day 77 and the week has gone quick. I increased the ppfd to 400 during the week. I think this is a nice looking little plant, such a shame I messed up at the beginning. I'm still getting a vanilla smell coming from her and she is the smelliest in the tent. Plan is now give her ripen for a week then flush and chop, so she should be down in about 2 weeks time.
Hopefully back in a week.
Take it easy.
Week 12 has finished and FBT2203 is pretty much done, she has 100% cloudy trichomes with the odd amber. I might leave her on ripen for a few more days then flush her for a bit, so she has maybe a week to 10 days left before harvest. She still looks awesome and I'm still gutted she is stunted.
This is the last entry for FBT 2203 before the 1st part of harvest update. She has gone 91 days and is looking and smelling awesome, still giving off a vanilla smell. This week she has been flushed and getting the same light strength as last week. Weekend is day 93 so I'll harvest her then. Wish I hadn't stunted her.
Back in a few days with harvest part 1.
Take it easy.
This is the 2nd or 3rd grow with the wilma system with just clay balls. It's most likely going to be my last grow with just clay balls as I don't seem to be able to get the ph correct before I start and with a bad start with autoflowers it's a up hill battle from then on.
With the plant being so stunted she didn't take long to trim.
A big thank you to Fastbuds for giving me the opportunity to try out these strains. Sorry the grow didn't go as well as I would have hoped for. Because of that it didn't really give the genetics opportunity to shine. At least they made it through to the end.
