For week 5, I topped back down to the third node on both branches. Then I removed the 2nd node on each branch, leaving the first and third. So in the end I will have eight main branches as it continues to grow. I could have done some more but I wanted to stop at eight since I have not tried this grow method before so wanted to make sure there was enough spacing and I could pay more attention to it. I adjusted the LST wire ties a little to keep both branches growing horizontally.
@sleeks, that's what I thought. Thanks for replying. The grow I'm doing now is the first time I've tied a plant down. My tent is only 5 feet tall so I wanted to see if it would help in that respect
@jeffl2956, Personally I wait until the branches are in the shape I want them. In this case I had them tied to fill out the tent from side to side and keep the canopy even across the top. Once I have that basic shape I remove some. If some start growing taller than the others, I may tie a bit more to keep it more even.
