Day 11. Started from seed directly in the substrate. Got the bamboo frame set for the future training. LST only no topping, ok that's the plan. fingers crossed
Day 14. I think she’s gonna be a plant, just feeding water so far but I’m thinking she is a little pale, so if she dries out and perks up in a day is she might need some fish and guano for a shot of nitrogen
Day17. She's a little twisted probably mosaic. Makes LST harder and as compact as she is I'm probably just gonna send her off at 45° and frestyle.
Got my diries mixed up and deleted prior comments and pictures because I got GSCed an thought I was on the wrong diary.
Day20. More LST and a little trim for light penetration. Time to let her dry a little. This was my first time starting in substrate in a 7 gallon pot. Last time too, it's pretty hard to no have a swampy spot in the middle and not be stunting growth. 5 gallon pots I've had no problems, so next time I use a 7 gallon pot will be for transplants. She is final big enough to search and find water finally. Just comparing this grow to others I would say all my plants are about week behind due to overwatering in big pots.
Day 22. Fed nutes, removed fan leaves for air circulation. Applied foliar Diamond Nectar @ 5ml/gal water.
Day 24. Fed half a gallon of stored rainwater no nutes ph 6.35 without adjustment
Day 29. Doing fine, she is almost to the edge of my influence. Cracked her shackles down a little and removed some fans down low. This is gonna be a really good plant. Tomorrow she should be dried out enough for a gallon of rain water
Day-33 BK. Finished LST today planning to feed plain rainwater when the lights come on this evening. This was the easiest LST ever this plant is
a very trainable with little to no recovery period. 12 colas and looking very healthy.
Lights on. Temporarily finished defoliation for a few weeks, will get it done in the last week before flip. Fed 1 gallon of rainwater pH 6.6
Day-36 BK. She is starting to showing a calmag deficiency so at lights on this evening she gets a heavy feed. The pot is light now, I just don't like to feed late in her day and she likes a drier environment than the 5 other strains in this grow. She doesn't like to be watered and will slump for a day but she just keeps on pushing, very vigorous plant. Never grown this strain before so I don't know if I just got a good one or if this is common. I do know she is hungry for more nutes
Day-38 BK. Fed one gallon of nutrients.
Day-41 BK. After 2 consecutive heavy feedings, I was still seeing a calmag deficiency. Pretty common issue in my grows especially with cocoir. So for all the Anti-Flushers, I decided to 'detoxify'. Flushed with 1.5 gallons of water with a few drops Ivory dish detergent to strip salts , took pH reading of the early runoff and it was above 7 then I flushed a gallon of rainwater through the subtrate . Finally I added 10ml of calmag and 1.25ml of GHE Hardwater the ghe is just because rainwater is almost distilled and is barren and it's a low calcium additive that lets me calmag or not. I'm pretty sure this was nutelock by my pH rising too high hopefully in a couple of days she will be healthier.
Day-43, BK. Flushed 2 days ago, defoliated yesterday, fed nutrients today suprcroping the canopy started yesterday. This one is scary with her metabolism. Internodal is more than generous. I'll be a lot happier when these have all stretched and I can stop sweating her. Collected 30 gallons of snow melt that was fun, not so much but really glad to get something wet. It got a TDS of 16ppm just a little higher than rainwater which is usually around 14ppm which is way better than my tap water @521ppm, that will definitely make my her sicker than she already is. Alright get well girl and all of you as well.
Update on the health issue, not a deficiency my pH meter was off (low readings) so my pH was too high for calmag uptake. I think a couple weeks ago I probably left it sitting in some nutrients solution for too long, anyway I checked, recalibrated, checked again compared to water with test solution also. So previously if I thought I was going at 6.1 -6.4 it was probably closer to 6.6-6.9
Day -45, BK. Fed 1.25 gal of rainwater @6.25 (calibrated this time) she is greening up and has looked better everyday since the flush. The rest of the tent is ready so this might be the last 18hr day I'm aiming for 13" at flip getting close. If I had enough sense to calibrate I meter after letting it soak in solution we might be sleeping right now. 🙂 Well that's all I got. No more stress .... Yet.
Day-47, BK. Today I'm doing a little defoliation, and top dressing with earthworm castings, bat guano, Dr. Earth bud & bloom. Almost time for lights out and I'm planning to reset the timers for flip at that time. She is at 13" and Im not sure but I think she is gonna get stretchy so almost 7 weeks.
Finished up and reaching for a dust pan and.... Yikes, I just knocked an empty gas can off the shelf. Bad news, it topped "The" main cola. Good news unbelievable that's the only permanent damage, well crap.
Day-50, BK. I flipped her 2 days ago. No fuzz yet. I went ahead and ordered a new Exhale bag as the old one is dry and light and ready for the compst bin. I said I wasn't, but the price dropped by $18 today. Perfect timing the bottle is more accurate but to get 1200ppm you have to refill once a week. The bag is 6 months no maintenance and back to $6 a month. Also ordered a Monkey fan and will no longer lose the back of the tent space to that leaning tower of interlocking plastic crates under a 12 pound oscillating fan. Also moved the electric works up higher on the back poles. Once I get all reset after almost 3 years in this tent, I'll surely decide now I need a new one. Anyway the back of the tent is gonna get utilized for growing instead of blowing and I can probably stop moving things around as much..
Day-53, BK. Fed nutes and med her, still no monkey fan. I may end up super cropping her once the fan arrives and I get more room. Definitely will manifold this strain next time or at least top once before LST.
Day-55,BK. Watered and took a picture. Got the monkey fan and rearranged the seating. She is in the back left corner to stay. I should have installed a monkey fan a couple of years ago. Had to move other fans around also to get airflow through the canopy. that big fan was great except for blocking out the sun, my humidity levels are running about 5% higher than usual. I see if tweeking fans can lower it some.
Staring week 9 not sure why it says 10, 2 days ago I updated week 8 so whatever we skipped a week except for my entries and the calendar. Dec 30. 2+31+24=57 that is 8 weeks and one day on the planet earth. Hmm green grass blue sky yep I'm still here.
She is still stretching. That's it we're still stretching on planet earth.
Almost forgot decided to supercop her. 4hrs later she is tits up and recovered from the supercrop with a canopy that is 3 Inches shorter. .ok figured out the extra week when I added 2 pics to week 8 on days 54&55 that added week 9, unknowingly. So this diary is screwed, because when I started a new week today on day 57 it reads week 10. Tried and failed at edits or deleting the week/s. Oh well maybe next year. Happy grows and leave a couple for seed.
Day 66 BK. Fed nutes today. It's getting hard to control the pH probably salt retention. The pH in was 5.9 and the runoff pH was 6.7 so she is ready for a little flush on the next watering.
Day 70 BK. START WEEK 11 TODAY, watered only , half gallon runoff for mini flush. 3-9-22
Day73 BK. Alternating Water or feed every day now she is drinking ,75 gal per day. She likes the nutes and doesn't ever stop begging for more. Very strong vigorous strain. She could have filled a tent all by herself with more time in veg. I never topped her and she forced me to flip a week or 2 earlier than I would have liked on the rest of the grow. I even supercroped her to try and slow her down but that was just a speed bump to her great plant just wish I had of manifolded her.
Day 75 BK. Fed nutes today. I've removed a dozen or so skinny branches that were crowding her.
Day 79 BK. She is a bit crowded but at this point any removal would hurt more than help so she'll have 30 or so skinny long colas. I'll continue light feeding and watering until she is ready for flush. She loves nutrients
Day 85 BK. Fed nutrients for the last time today, start 2-3 week next
Day 86 BK. Flushed with 4 drops of Ivory dish detergent in 1 gallon of water. Followed by 2 gallons of rain water pH 6.1. Runoff from last quart; TDS 1339ppm, pH 7.0. She should go 3 weeks more or less, just guessing by the looks of her foliage.
Day 89 BK. SHE drank 1 gallon today pH 6.15
Day 91 BK. She hasn't slowed down, dry pot, feeding 1.5 gallons of rain water today.
Day 91-92 BK. WHITE DEATH decended on her neighbors. Mold showed up on one bud in 2 of the other plants in this tent, not on this plant but in plants on either side. Got some great advice from a grower that goes by m0use and thanks so much I followed your advice and am seeing no mold or damage. I removed the top that had the mold growing 2 inches below the affected spot there was nothing under or behind it or anywhere else that I could see so I must have caught it very early. Next I mixed 2 cups of spring water with 2 ounces of 3% hydrogen peroxide, then misted the whole grow until I had used it all. This was done at lights out I placed a fan in front of the tent opened the tent on all sides and let the fan dry her off before the lights came back on. When the lights came back on there were a few places at the back of the tent where I used a paper towel to dab some wet leaves then blow dried with no heat to be sure that section was dry, the blow dry was only a minute or 2. It worked plants looking great checked trichomes and they are all there and clear so mission accomplished. Again thanks to m0use for the help and I plan to start bud washing between chop and dry on all grows, I tried to reply to all answers on my grow questions but once again the techno caveman doesn't know how to do something simple. Copy and pasteing this on the other diaries... Yep that I can do. Ok happiness flush continues and starting to see some cannibal fade.
Day 97 BK. She is done. Finishing a week early probably due to never topping her and she never experienced transplant shock since she germinated in this pot..
Starting week 15 with trim, chop, wash and dry. I did find some white mold on 5 or 6 buds that got cut out and trashed. I started try to trim her intact but about an hour saw that was going to be quite a chore, so I started cutting branches and trimming then washing in the peroxide bath followed by a rinse. It took 5 hours to finish, not my best work but got her clean and dry. By the 3rd hanger I realized I didn't weigh her and it's to late now. So you'll have to trust me, or not, she is massive with dense tops. I'll update the dry weight in in 2 weeks. The defecation hit the cooling system over the last week so I'm lucky to get her in a drying tent. Good luck with your defecation and give a seed to someone.
Dried and at 16 days into curing decided to try a bowl. Wow excellent weed very smoke even mouth watering. It's midmorning and I'm loving it still no dry mouth or munchies after an hour. Buzzing nicely. Great strain. Not much bag appeal due to long skinny colas but wow really good smoke.. I'll grow again, up my rating to 9 stars.
Update; 4 weeks cure and I'm pretty happy. Taste is smooth with spicy aftertaste, ok that's it for my powers of taste description Good smoke calming chilled relaxed focused but I'm read to get up and do something or I could sit here for a few hours.
Day 98 BK. Been busy, sorry for taking so long to edit this. Ok she was a hungry girl the whole grow, be ready to feed if you grow this strain. She got really big and I wish I had topped her once before LST. The only topping she had was a week before flip a 5 gallon gas gan fell off a shelf and topped her main cola, by then she was already huge. Easy grow but she will get stretchy so drop the temp gap in stretch to slow her down. Typical sativa lanky long colas with budsites everywhere. She had very light white mold in about a third of the Buds which is why I didn't rate her high on resistance. That said I let the environment get out of whack for a couple of days and there you go. Even then if I had of removed the runted source plant (White Widow) in week 3 no mold issues would have occurred in my opinion. But she had a little so she got a good peroxide bath and rinse. Can't wait to try her. Great strain and I'll definitely grow again.
