Oct 13: looking good but there was some frost damage from last night. First time below 0 C this fall. Some leaves are suddenly very dry and shrivelled which seems like a deficiency aggravated by cold weather.
Best phenotype is the field plant which has the best buds of the five plants. One of the four grow area plants has a notably strong lemon scent which is awesome. No seeds off of these plants this year, but I still have lots of feminized seeds from last year so I can grow more out next year to find the best pheno for breeding.
Oct 15: looking awesome and getting pretty smelly. This is definitely the best plant of the crosses I’ve done the last three years. Will have to find this pheno again next year and breed it.
Oct 16: final round of 739 g wet for total of 2,054 g for the four grow area plants.
@Rangaku, best hobby ever. I haven’t liked most of my crosses so far but these were good and particularly the field plant. Have a few good possibilities for next year (if I can do this again next year…tough way to make a buck within the rules). Tough outdoor conditions here in spring and fall but sunny with 17 h daylight near the solstice means it can work great if things are timed properly with the right plants.
