Here is my diary for my first grow ever! I’ve chosen 3 x Royal Dwarf seeds to start with as I have heard they are relatively easy for a first time grower and give decent results. All 3 have germinated successfully and have been nicknamed accordingly, 1 far left is “Snow White”, middle is “Dopey ” and right is “Lazy”. Lazy was close to being binned, during germination her roots were very short and very fat under the soil, unlike the others whose roots had dug deep down the soil by that point - however I gave her a chance, and thank god i did as she corrected herself overnight and is now looking more healthy. I am using coco soil and a 200W CFL light with reflector on a 20/4 schedule, this is a low budget grow hence the use of the CFL light. It’s also my first ever grow so any advice or tips are kindly accepted 🙏🏻 I am using a small amount of nutes during my grow and will be flushing a few weeks before harvest if all goes well.

Hi everyone, I need some advice here. I am currently using a 200W dual spectrum CFL for Vegatation however I know that I will require a more powerful setup for flowering, if I want to get a good yield from all 3 plants. Can anyone tell me what would be better, HPS or LED?

So the solution is easy but depends all of your cash budget, I explain better: Led light consume a lot less power and have better results in all the stages considering the low heat produced too, HPS instead cost a lot less but produces lot of heat and consume a lot of power. So I usually raccomand led light (more compact- high efficiency- low heat production) Tell me If this answer was useful for you or not, I can give you some advice about what led u can buy on budget.

Day 8 - so I’m into my 2nd week, no problems to report. Will be purchasing a 300w LED in the next couple of weeks for flowering. Growth has remained steady, gave each a small amount of nutes today, about 1ml per 500ml or so, not going to feed much just yet as these babies have only just started. I may upload a video unboxing the LED growlight and showing my setup, will also be purchasing a ph / moist monitor. ✌️🏻 Day 12 - tried hanging pots using bungee cords but it wasn’t worth the hassle, it made the setup a little more fragile. Happy with the overall setup now, plants at a good distance from CFL. I have ordered Advanced Nutrients Grow Micro Bloom pH Perfect and CalMag, they should arrive tomorrow so I am excited! 😍 ordering 300w LED next week ✌️🏻 Day 13 - nutrients have arrived, super excited!! Day 14 - plants responding well to the nutrients! Week 2 is over, plants looking healthy, roll on week 3! :)

Well, I’ve made it to week 3 and considering all 3 of my babies are only under a 200w CFL there vegatation growth has been going smoothly. Just keeping an eye on any signs of deficiency’s, currently receiving a daily feed of 2ml/l MICRO & 2ml/l GROW and 1ml/l of CAlMAG. If anyone has any tips or sees anything wrong with my 3 babies please let me know as i am still new to this and learning daily :) Stay safe everyone! Day 17 - all going well with my 3 babies, missed a day of feeding today as I wanted to make sure they were absorbing as much nutrients in the coco as possible before next feed. Day 18 - all 3 fed, these advanced nutrients are amazing, Gets the Ph just right! All 3 plants responding well, Dopey is very compact as a whole, while the other 2 are more spread out - not sure why, maybe receiving most light? The leaves are very green and healthy, so far so good! :) Day 19 - the 300w LED arrived today! It’s perfect! Just in time for flowering in the next couple of weeks or so :) bye bye to my CFL, she did me proud through vegetation! Day 21 - Snow White was topped yesterday but didn’t have chance to get a photo, I hope i did it right and that she recovers well :) the intersect is looking thicker which is a good sign.

So I’ve made it to week 4, I have increased nutes to 4ml/l, so far all 3 are looking healthy. White pistils are showing so i think it’s starting flowering stage now but want to give it another week, I heard that the royal dwarf flowers really early, so I shouldn’t expect anymore branches to grow but height to increase. They really are dwarfs! I hope I haven’t done anything wrong :| Day 22 - my weeks are getting bigger, sadly won’t be able to upload as many photo updates as I’d like to, but I will still keep you Guys and gals posted :) Day 24 - okay so I have increased water to 2l per plant and increase nutes to 8ml for each plant, now gonna wait coco to dry at top and start feeding every 2-3 days instead of daily.

Day 29 - so I’ve made it to day 29 and all 3 have survived! ALL green, no signs of nute burn or other issues! So happy with there progress so far! Just hoping it doesn’t get too crowded for them. Still feeding 2l of water with 4ml/l grow 4ml/micro 4ml/l bloom 1ml/l CalMag every 2-3days. Plants are happy with the routine :) any advice is greatly appreciated :D Day 30 - I did some defoliation and LST on Snow White, hopefully I did it right and I hope she recovers. Day 31 - girls are growing nicely, gaining a little height each day day. Dopey is really working on her flowering, the other 2 will catch up :)

Defoliation, is it worth it? It’s the start of week 5, my 3 plants are growing in a tight tent and the leaves are starting to cross between them. I’m worried that the smaller plants won’t get enough light but I’ve never defoliated before and I am nervous to try. any advice? :)

Hi there ! If some lower bud sites and your smaller plants can't get enough light then I would do defoliation. You don't need to remove the whole leaf , if only few parts of it are obscuring the light then cut them instead of the whole leaf ! You are in the first week of stretch so if you don't really want to give a defoliation a try , you can also knit your leaves together to increase light penetration !! 😁👍

So I’ve made it to Day 36 (week 6) - Dopey is really starting to flower, plenty of white pistols. Lazy and Snow White are flowering slower, this may of been because of the LST, topping and defoliation. All 3 looking nice and green :) Day 38 - running a little low on nutrients, gonna start feeding just water every other day, will help clear out any old nutes :) Day 41 - all 3 of my girls have just finished a 2 meal of 2 litres water only, I was seeing symptoms of nitrogen toxicity (droopy leaves). Now I am feeding 2ml/l micro 2ml/l grow and 3ml/l bloom. Day 42 - starting to see some nice frost developing on Dopey ❄️

Day 43 - so I have made it to week 7, never thought I could couod be so patient to grow a plant but ive loved every week of it and I am hooked. All 3 of my girls are doing great, plenty of buds!! I purchased a cheap but great 50w LED to give my smaller plant (Snow White) some much needed coverage :) I’ve dropped my nutes down a little and now feed water every over day to counteract the nute toxicity and to get the most out of the nutes stored in the coco!! :D Day 45 - all 3 are focusing on there flowers, 1 or 2 pistols are turning orange I’ve noticed on dopey. :) Day 46 - completed last defoliation on all 3, bud sites are now getting good light and everything is more spaced out for better air flow, it’s been a crowded tent and I am very impressed with the grow so far! :D

Day 50 - so I’ve made it to week 8, considering these girls are crammed in a 60x60x140 tent they have surprised me, there doing really well - Dopey flowering a lot quicker so looks to be the first to finish - the other 2 need at least another 2 weeks. Just ordered magnifying glass to check trichomes, i reckon I can harvest Dopey on week 10 but we will see :) Day 52 - days are starting to get colder where I am, tent dropped to 15 degrees Celsius when the lights were off so I’ve changed schedule to 22/2.

Made it to week 9 woohoo! :D very anxious to knowing when to harvest Dopey, keeping an eye inbox those trichomes :) Lazy is starting to really develop buds now and Snow White is still going slow, she’s not getting direct light from the 300w only the 50w so that’s probably why - but once Dopey is harvested I will put her under the 300w :) Day 60 - Dopey will first to harvest so expect more pics of her haha trichomes still clear some cloudy - will flush next week. I removed the lower buds so she can focus up top :) Day 63 - Dopey is so close to the finish! Some trichomes now turning amber! Starting 8 days flush :D

So it’s day 64 week 10! Dopey is being harvested on Sunday. Now doing a week of flush for her! She smells gorgeous, reminds me of super lemon haze. Really nice lemon/citrus :D can’t wait for harvest day! I will provide an update on the other 2 soon :D Day 67 - Dopey is not ready for harvest, waiting another 1-2 weeks. Dopey and Lazy are looking healthy but Snow White has some leaves with yellow/brown spots - is this sign of leaf septoria?

Hi all! I was checking on my plants and noticed one of them is showing yellow/brown spots in some the top leaves, only showing on 1 plant but I’m nervous it’s leaf septoria?? The plant is in week 10 and is my last pic on week 10 diary. Does anyone know what this could be? :)

Hi @ItsLegalInMyHouse! This looks more like a nutrients deficiency or excess in the past weeks, leaf septoria creates round-shaped yellow&brown spots, you're just having a slight yellowing between the veins. Enjoy your harvest! 👊

Well apart from the bud rot which was most likely my fault this plant was very fun to grow and rewards you with some pretty dense frosty buds and a respectable harvest! The buds are now drying for 7 days and then cured - dry Weight for Dopey is 29g which I am really happy with! Other 2 girls will be harvested soon! :D I will post stats below! 1st plant (Dopey) Harvested: 10 weeks due to bud rot Harvest dry weight: 29.10G Plant 2 (Lazy) Harvested: Day 74 Harvest dry weight: 58g Plant 3 (Snow White) Harvested: Day 74 Harvest dry weight: 21g Day 74 - both remaining plants have now been harvested, giving off that lovely citrus smell 😍 will update dry weight ASAP! 0 Smoke report So I smoked a joint a week after curing my first plant, smoked some from my glass pipe last night and didn’t really feel much at all, I was gutted. BUT then I smoked a joint this morning and oh my god, it hits you pretty hard at first and have me slight paranoia but I normally get paranoia anyways when trying a new strain, it gives you a lot of headrush at the start which I like, then an hour in your left feeling very relaxed. I don’t think think flushed long enough though as it smoked a bit harsh, overall though a really enjoyable high :D0 Update - 2 weeks of cure Okay I take that back, the smoke is not harsh at all now and the high is even more intense but in a good way! The smell is of orange juice and a mix of skunk! :D very happy with the outcome overall and considering these were grown in a very small 60x60x140cm tent they have done fantastic for first time :)

So I’ve made it to week 11, Dopey has been harvested and has came back with a generous 29g dry weight even after suffering some bud rot! Luckily i caught it in time :) Day 71 for my 2 other girls, Snow White is the one on the left, sadly her bud growth has not been great. She may pull off 20g or less. Lazy is one on the right and wow wow wow! She is bigger than Dopey and has much bigger and denser buds - I can’t wait to harvest her! :) will begin 10 day flush for both of them tomorrow! :) thanks for tuning in guys and gals! :D
