Welcome everybody to my new grow, it's the Black Lebanon from Super Sativa Seed Club, weeeee!! 🎉

My goal here is to grow a beautiful flowering model plant, and then to try and take a good picture of it. 😎
Additionally, I'm having my first try on collecting pollen (so don't expect too much). It's much trickier than I thought.
The male is a Sugar Black Rose, propagated privately (not by me!).
If I succeed in storing the pollen, I will dust one branch in flowering week 3, just like a huge bumble bee. 😅
The plants will grow in rich tomato soil, fed with biobizz allmix schedule, keeping my tap water at EC 0,4 and the pH at around 6,5.
I will brew compost tea from time to time, and also give one watering with neem oil after each transplanting.
(interjection from the future: there was not a single compost tea brewed!! she's lying!)
I plan to top early on, just to avoid a huge main kola in summer. 😅
(interjection from the future: better get ready for a 500% stretch)

About Black Lebanon cannabis seeds:
Black Lebanon is a real treat for the true connoisseur of old school strains. This is the original Black Lebanon dating back from the 1980's, a true Hash plant. The producer has been busy with this strain since 2008 and selected the best mothers out of hundreds of plants. This strain is made from two original Black Lebanon landraces, a crossed between Lebanon #1 and Lebanon #5. Of course we took into account our desires towards quality, potency, taste, effect and of course a good yield. 😊 😇😍🧞♂️ 💫
We are very pleased and proud with the successful breeding results. Black Lebanon is one of the strongest landrace strains from Lebanon. She is naturally very resistant to high temperatures and dry climates thanks to the Lebanese landrace genetics.
The plants are very dark green with some leaves showing purple colourations. Some can look almost black. This makes these plants a real treat for the eye. The spectacular appearance is enhanced by the glittering white resinous trichomes which really stand out against the dark foliage of the plant.
The taste is a little fruiter than the original Black Lebanon, more flavoursome with less of an earthy taste. The production levels are medium to high, depending on the growers skills and lights used. We recommend a minimum of 600W per m2 of HPS, or perhaps around 400W/m2 of quality LED. In optimum conditions 500 gram per m2 is possible.
She grows between 80cm and 1.50 m tall and is also very suited to the SOG grow technique. SCROG is possible but takes longer because she isn't the stretchiest of strains. Black Lebanon is very sticky and resinous with THC levels reaching in between 16% and 22%
The indoor flower period is around 60-65 days. Outdoors she can be harvested around the middle of October. Indoors, she is very resistant to stress and high temperatures. The genetic background is very strong and the team were surprised and impressed with the resin levels, terpene profile and bud production. It's not very common to see a plant this vigorous with such growth speed.
So if you want to impress yourself and your stoner friends try it out now and enjoy the relaxing vibes and old school memories from the 1980's.

I collected some pollen. 💪 Feeling quite omnipotent now.
Here's how I did it, it hasn't proven to work yet!
I made a little paper bag (found black paper and it's great to see the pollen), I also use bags like those to store flower seeds from the garden.
Each day when the humidity outside is 45% or below, I take one bag and collect pollen from newly opened pollen sacks. So much fun! 😆
Just tap the flower a bit, holding the bag below. The pollen will fall like a million stars. Maybe make a wish. 😏
It's not much pollen, so it's easy to dry it, I just put it in a jar with a silica pack over night.
Then into a jar in the freezer with the other paper bags, also with a silica bag there.
I mixed some with flour, maybe 2 : 1 (flour : pollen)..
Fingers crossed! 😜

TS1000 is dimmed 50% and hanging at 50cm above the canopy.
Watered for the first time after potting, after 9 days. 💧
My Black Lebanon girl is growing vigorously! 😍 Bigger than the two Autoflowers in the room even.
So I topped her. 😄 Right after node 4 I removed the tiny top. It might pay off by getting 6 to 8 headbuds instead of one, because during summer my plants are more susceptive to budrot. It also helps to bring all buds up to the light. 🌞

Defoliated & bent a bit. ✂️
On the pics you can see that I use this reusable sticky tape which is actually for outdoor gardening.
It sticks to the fabric of my pots, and I leave it very long so it's stable.
If you do this, make sure that the hole where it holds the stem is wide enough for future growth and check regularly. 😊 Stems will fatten.
Black Lebanon is a sturdy & beautifully growing plant! It's super easy to grow so far. 💚
I put her under 12/12, because she just didn't fit in the small tent anymore. 😅 Bud sites do not look too far from flowering.
Leaves smell fantastic! 😍

Black Lebby is stretchin alright! 😍 I love the fruity smell from her leaves and stems, it's a rich aroma. I also adore the green of the new leaves, it's my favourite color.
I will grow 6 kolas here, removing all secondary shoots whatsoever. 🍂
There is not the tiniest pistil in sight, says the tower. 🔭 But they detected one gnat again. Ordered nematodes and will report about how I use them. They have proven trustworthy 100%! 🐛 💚

Watered with 5L pH adjusted water with BioEnhancer only.. 💧 Had to put her in a little pool because I caused some dry spots last time. Water was just leaving the pot instantly.. 😦 After 1hr in the pool with 5L water, all the water was gone, except for 200ml. Libby hates water. She is super offended now. 👸
DAY 41
Stretchiiiiin :giraffe: Excited to see where she is going, she is free to grow in any direction. 😜
Watered some few million nematodes, each plant got about 1/4 liter water with the soon-to-be-nematode-powder 🐛 🐛 Now the soil has to be moist for 2 weeks, so the little critters can thrive and eat the gnats.
How I did it:
* poured the nematodes (which are in a sealed plastic package, coming with a cool pack in summer) in 1 litre of water, filled the bag several times to rinse them out
* you need at least 1 litre but you can add more water (up to 10L depending on the brand)
* added the solution briefly before lights go out, spreading it evenly over the soil surface

The leaves smell really fruity and savoury as well, I'm so happy that it's not just hash smell!! 😁 I love the effect of hash but not so much the taste of it.
This will probably be a really nice winter season weed, good for baking etc 💚 🍪

The buds which were supercropped are still alive, the side branches celebrate. 😜 The stretch is definitely done.

Remember in germination week, when I said I would pollinate a bud?
I did it.. I put up a blue plastic bag tent and switched off the vents.
The pollen was taken out of the freezer 2hrs before, warmed up in a jar with silicate gel.
The bud was separated into the tent and the bottom was secured with a clothespin.
Wearing a mask, I brushed and dipped the pollen onto the pistils.
I used a contouring brush (gentle-cis-men, it's for make up), it has soft hairs and can take up a lot of pollen.
After brushing, I covered the hopefully pregnant bud with a DIY newspaper bag (that's why you don't see pics).
Sprayed everything including myself with water to kill the sperm in the air, switched on the vents again - next morning, removed the newspaper.
Now I think I see no difference, maybe the pollen was dead. 😕
Watered with nematodes because there's an army of fungus gnats in the autoflower tent. 😦 🐛

I won't take the plant out of the tent anymore now just to take pics.
It's super beautiful, but it's not easy to get it out without harming it, so eff the pics. 😊

It's a bit messy, the buds started to lower themselves. There are so many awesome budsites! Supported them with some bamboo sticks and sticky tape. I tried to get the shortest buds into the middle under the LED. It's still messy tho, the resin is really strong and I get allergies on my skin from it. Good sign! 😁
I can see some colors showing up. 😍 Smells really nice, sweet hashy!

SPIDERMITES
I found two kinds of spidermites: the red mite, and the two spotted spidermite. They love dry and warm spaces, and they showed up when I turned the heating on.
Luckily the Lebanon girl is the only one in the room at the moment. Spidermites love dry climate, my buds in late flowering also love dry climate - life is all about decisions, right?
So I turned off the heating and opened the window. Humidity in the room went from 50% to 70%. Temps went down from 23°C to 19°C. Spidermites hate wind... you get it. Cranked up the ventilation.
Since then, no further development of the spidermites! But they are of course not dead.
If the buds mold, well then they mold. Best I can do is stop the development of the pest as good as possible, and then introduce my army.
AMBLYSEIUS CALIFORNICUS in millions (I hope) 💪 :ninja: (now's the right moment to imagine the 'Purge' movie theme)
It's also a spidermite as I understand it, but it's a predator. 😈 Halloween stuff going on in my tent..
They love humid environments, and they can thrive indoors at normal temps. They eat everyone in their way, also the eggs!
I built a little info stand for them to gather once a day in the shades, and turned the fan down a bit.
The war starts now, friends!
I want to harvest soon, I will put all leaves in plastic bags, move the Californian predators 😜 into the other tent and start directly with pest control with my new grow.
I will spray the plants in vegi and get more predators as also nematodes against gnats. All as a preventive measure. 🤞

I put the leaves in a plastic bag, cut off some few sugarleaves to make bubble hash, and the buds are drying now.

The plant looked absolutely beautiful, if I may say so. 😅 It would be an amazing outdoor plant!
Test bud smelled like smurfberries, forest and earth and hash, and aftertaste is just smurfberry. 🖤 If you want to know what that tastes like, you have to grow Black Lebanon. 😎

I think I harvested just in time, there are no seeds to smell when the weed is burned. Without the nanas I would've waited one more week. But there are really nanas all over. 🍌 My fault, my pH pen broke and I didn't recognize how much pH minus I used.. Also I forgot to water once when I had the flu. 😰
But I got a much better pH and EC pen now. 🎉 🎊
This lady needs a bit of dedication during veg and during stretch, but then she pretty much dances on her own. 😍 💃

We are very pleased and proud with the successful breeding results. Black Lebanon is one of the strongest landrace strains from Lebanon. She is naturally very resistant to high temperatures and dry climates thanks to the Lebanese landrace genetics.
The plants are very dark green with some leaves showing purple colourations. Some can look almost black. This makes these plants a real treat for the eye. The spectacular appearance is enhanced by the glittering white resinous trichomes which really stand out against the dark foliage of the plant.
The taste is a little fruiter than the original Black Lebanon, more flavoursome with less of an earthy taste. The production levels are medium to high, depending on the growers skills and lights used. We recommend a minimum of 600W per m2 of HPS, or perhaps around 400W/m2 of quality LED. In optimum conditions 500 gram per m2 is possible.
She grows between 80cm and 1.50 m tall and is also very suited to the SOG grow technique. SCROG is possible but takes longer because she isn't the stretchiest of strains. Black Lebanon is very sticky and resinous with THC levels reaching in between 16% and 22%
The indoor flower period is around 60-65 days. Outdoors she can be harvested around the middle of October. Indoors, she is very resistant to stress and high temperatures. The genetic background is very strong and the team were surprised and impressed with the resin levels, terpene profile and bud production. It's not very common to see a plant this vigorous with such growth speed.
