After this the seedlings +/- 0.5cm deep sown in bags of Aliexpress, grow bags. These bags are biodegradable and grow through the roots, so you can repot them with bag and all. Ideal, because autoflowers are really mega sensitive to repotting. During cultivation I have a low dose of aptus root stimulator and B'cuzz A and B, but I will omit that B'cuzz from now on, I will come back to it. They have started to stretch very much again, I always have with seedlings that would be lacking due to light. What to do against stretching of seedlings? I don't know what you can do directly against stretching, but as soon as the seedlings have to be repotted again, I put them a lot deeper, up to the cotyledons or even deeper. Next time I'm going to smear the stems with cutting powder with a few plants to try to get good root growth there. Then it is only the question whether autoflowers do not get stress from this, I do not think so since they are still in the growth phase. If someone has good tips to prevent stretching, I would like to hear it. When growing the seedlings, 1 immediately got stressed, which it did manage to the end, but with weird top growth.
Nice job. I had a similar experience trying to grow lots of autos…seems like more can go wrong with autos, more liable to be stunted by a cold overnight temperature, etc. Cheers.
@Northern_Ent, yes autoflowers are very stress sensitive. Even moving the plant to another spot in the garden during flowering felt like stress was my thoughts.
