The growth phase went very well after this, partly thanks to the beautiful weather, 2022 had of course also been a top year with sun and temperature. I topped them 1x after the 5th anode and afterwards I should have budd them once and removed the bottom 2 to 4 branches. In the end, nothing came of it and only energy is wasted. Never do this pruning when they are in bloom, guaranteed that your autoflowers will go to shit because of the stress.
I had not topped 1 plant, it was really beautiful, 160cm high with a thick head top.
But you will be better off with yield if you top.
Nice job. I had a similar experience trying to grow lots of autos…seems like more can go wrong with autos, more liable to be stunted by a cold overnight temperature, etc. Cheers.
@Northern_Ent, yes autoflowers are very stress sensitive. Even moving the plant to another spot in the garden during flowering felt like stress was my thoughts.
