Dark Purple Auto - Winter/Spring 2023

TommyBVRSA75 I start from vegetative (seedling stage) on January 12, 2023. Germination time - 96 hours (started on January 4, 2021). Settled in 12L airpot. Substrate prepared with mostly Special Mix Light (Gold Label) / addition of Worm Delight Atami / expanded clay balls and vermiculite. Custom cabinet - mahogany/oak cabinet with an interior cover of car window tint in reflective Mylar. LED Blurple (blue/red spectrum) 192 nominal watts (130 real output watts) - 4 modules. - lighting cycle of 18/6 at 70 CMS between light and seedling (maintained from start to finish of the grow and reducing the distance from a maximum of 70 to a minimum of 25 - already in flowering) and inclusion in the 4th week of support from two TLED tubes Secret Jardin 26 watts - 2300 Kelvin (flowering spectrum). Nutritional plan - Gold Label - starting with 5.8 pH and 0.2 EC - regulation additive Gold Label PH-; Roots 0.5 ml/L and CalMag 0.1 ml/L. New information: January 23 (Monday). TommyBVRSA75 The "little one" is right there! A few notes on this grow and this seedling. First, once again and surely due to the dates, the cold, and the humidity, the seedling has once again come out "ugly" and showing signs that something has burned its leaves. So now I'm not going to worry much about the appearance and will focus on what will happen in the coming days and weeks. As you can see in the photos, the leaves are not those of the healthiest seedlings, but it's managing and that's enough for me. I started thinking about using the Gold Label plan because the substrate I used for the grow is the Special Mix from the Dutch, but I’m going to give it the basics from HESI to get it going. That is, TNT - Flowering - Phosphorus, and we'll be in "familiar territory." The mineral from our friends at HESI doesn’t fail, and then with the usual corrections using Delta Nueve, B Cuzz Blossom Builder, and ATAMI Flavour, we’ll have good things by the end. This grow started with something that already sounded strange...almost five days for the seed to germinate. It usually germinates in two days, but the Dark Purple took almost a week, and what would be a replacement grow for the Purple Skunk that wasn’t quite taking off, almost ended up as a seed that didn’t germinate...but in the end, it did. I moved it to a Jiffy, and ten days ago it went into the pot. As I said, this grow is very particular. From a normal clothing closet, with a mylar covering the car window in summer, and with my Blurple LED and my two 26w PLED tubes at 5100K for vegetative growth. Until Wednesday, the seedling was very weak. Very short and curled leaves, then two more days with curled leaves, and finally since yesterday, the second set of leaves is coming out, and it's starting to take shape as a plant. The most important thing...to give it a good mycorrhizae support; provide good nutrition with the Roots base from Golden; start with Calmag to help with any deficiencies in the watering water, and a bit of B Cuzz Hydro Boost for micronutrients and 18/6 lights. As I said, it started "ugly," but it looks like it’s recovering quickly and will grow without problems. Everything in this grow is customized, from the closet to the use of lights and what I know about nutrients, and we’ll definitely have a beautiful purple one in the coming months. TommyBVRSA75 Very well... we hadn't done an analysis of the grow we have in the "grandma's" closet yet, and I'll explain how this grow has already had its fair share of things that shouldn't have happened. Number one, I had already told you, the seed of this cultivar took almost a week to break root, then I moved it to a Jiffy where I gave it a first week/ten days, with the most basic care and giving it half a "portion" of Power Roots from Plagron and chlorine-free water. And one of those days, I decided to give it some Vita Race spray from Plagron, and it confirmed, to a large extent, what was the cause of the problems I had already experienced with the Purple Skunk grow. For some reason, even in the tiniest amount, Power Roots from Plagron, even at half the amount that the manufacturer's plan specifies, when combined with iron spray in the Vita Race nutrient mix and when exposed to Blurple lights, tends to do a lot of damage to the seedlings, especially when they are Indicas. In the first days of the Auto Dark Purple, there were terrible signs of the first simple leaves being burned, and then, due to the characteristics of the Blurple LEDs and the very short spectrum of blue and red light, and because in the Blurple lights, the almost absence of green and yellow wavelengths translates into these unnatural growths, which are precisely these "flattened" looking plants that, until twenty-something days, don't really start vertical growth... and once again, the genetics from Delicious Seeds in the autos doing their "thing"... the leaves that came out in the first group of initial leaves mutated genetically, creating a jumble of leaves "stuck" to each other, meaning leaf shapes with notable genetic defects... and you might think, "it's fine... the primary leaves end up falling and yellowing very soon, so there won't be a problem... what happens, and because I have some knowledge of the automatic genetics from Delicious Seeds, is that it’s once again notable that they are tremendously imperfect... without any need to come here and guess the future, I will surely have ruderalis trifoliate during the flowering time of this grow, and something in its genetics will have to have problems. Delicious is incredible with their photoperiodics, and few banks have things of the quality of a Sugar Black Roses; of an Eleven Roses or a Bay Burguer, but forgive me my friends from Delicious, who are people that in post-sale, if you mention the problems, always look to give the quickest response and always with customer service, but their automatic genetics are terrible, and once again, at the beginning of a grow, a growth of "prion" leaves, meaning with modified genetic sequences, are specimens that reflect what Delicious does in the development of strains, and in the automatics that, due to market law, almost year after year, it’s necessary to put new strains in the catalog, and that’s because it’s not possible due to the lack of time to, for example, create a sequence of generations that perfects the automatic strains that Delicious places on the market. In the end, and now after the last five/six days, the leaves have started to develop well, in pairs, and as an option and to make it possible to show the inside of the leaves, an LST has been done with iron wires covered in plastic (which are, for example, very typical of bread twist ties). The cultivar has a very clear Indica character, despite the fact that there may be something that in other diaries here present, often turns into a genetic change "on the fly" and from an Indica vegetative state, leading to a flowering that clearly assumes a Sativa character, and where even if it’s a "purple," it’s common for the "non-purple" phenotype to be the one that prevails. TommyBVRSA75 Day 32 and yes, Delicious finally gave me an autoflowering that promises a lot. Quick without a doubt, solid in its phenotypic expression, very good in handling, and the LST I applied has managed to give it a good shape and way to expose it to the lights throughout its structure. No news, the Blurple spectrum with the time it has been under, still presents that embarrassing flattened appearance, and with the LST it’s still very short, and a big surprise, it has already started flowering sooner than expected. It remains tiny, but it’s already noticeable that it’s starting to throw the central cola, and the most promising part of its structure is that there is space for the secondary branches, which are already exposed and with the two 26w PLEDs at 5100K for vegetative, it will continue to grow to become a very good cultivar. At the beginning, once again I was very disappointed when the initial leaves - the first three sets presented tremendous mutations and more...the secondary growth looked really weird and with "prion" leaves, meaning with very sensitive genetic defects. Regarding germination, extremely strange...a week for the seed to break the shell and then more than a week and something with the ugly leaves and with a very poor structure, minimal at best. Over the last two weeks, there was a very evident improvement. The mineral inputs from HESI worked well, and some variations I added also yielded the best results. Giving it Gold Label enzymes...giving it Plagron's Power Roots...giving it Trichoderma...so even with organic variations to its mineral input plan, it did wonderfully. It must be very clear, the cabinet is customized from an old wooden wardrobe, which has been covered with mylar like the ones used on car windows in summer to protect cars from heat inside, and the conversion of my older Blurple LED set has been almost perfect, complemented with the 26w tubes for vegetative, and like magic, here is a grow that will surely, due to the characteristics of this strain, become a very beautiful plant with purple buds. God Jah in the miracles of grows that sometimes we wouldn’t think could turn into beautiful things, and so the Dark Purple walks solidly...thanks to Delicious Seeds for that grow I’ve been waiting for from them. TommyBVRSA75 Week 6 (around day 50) - very well, let's see... I've gotten used to looking at her with just the Blurple LED connected and the purple spectrum, I hadn't realized how the growth of the buds is starting to show signs of the purple flower structure that gives this strain its name. One more notable peculiarity, the first being that the phenotype of this cultivar has come out in the vegetative stage at a very modest size. As you can see, we currently have a cultivar that is about 30 cm tall and we probably won't have a grow that exceeds 45/50 cm at most. I haven't stopped giving it the nitrogen boost that I should completely remove, and if I keep giving it nitrogen (through the TNT compound from HESI) it will be because I still want the lady to gain at least 50 cm, so that the central cola and the secondary branches that are also showing bud formation can ultimately give us around 40/50 grams of yield when dry. As for the cultivar, it stands out for its almost "blue" leaves due to the very dark green color they present, and as I mentioned with the LED lights connected, I still hadn't been able to notice that in the development of buds (in textures and colors), it is visible that the purple color is coming out, according to the structure of leaves/pistils and resin droplets developing. And as you will see in the photos, in a couple of weeks, it will undoubtedly be a cultivar with some beautiful purple buds. The phenotype has only disappointed due to the short size of the cultivar, and this week the setup in the cabinet has been pushed to 100% of its capacity. 192 nominal watts (130 effective watts) of Blurple spectrum + 100w distributed in tubes (2 tubes 26w 2300k for flowering - red spectrum + 2 tubes 26w 5100k for growth - white spectrum)... so the customized cabinet with the car protection panel in Mylar and the central 130w LED + 4 auxiliary tubes of 26w, totaling 104w, gives us a total of 235 watts of power for an area of 0.50m² (which means there is optimal grow space coverage) and until the end, we will have everything for the grow to proceed with outstanding quality. The nutrients being followed are basically the HESI soil mineral plan, with the addition of enzymes from Gold Labels (equal minerals), and then to perfect the flowering, the addition of B'Cuzz Blossom Builder (PK18-23); the Delta 9 from Cannabiogen as a flowering precursor; a supply of microelements from Atami - the Hydro Booster Universal, which is a hydroponics product that, when added in larger portions, provides the grow with elements that are more difficult to integrate into soil, and finally, the addition of B.A.C Silica Power, so that silicon assists the flowering structure in branches and stems. This week I also had to take out the dehumidifier to control the extremely high humidity we had. On days like last Friday, there was HR at 92% and for flowering, such humidity is a recipe for disaster. Whether due to conditions for foliar and root fungi, or because the formation of resins and terpenes is compromised, and because the grow area with such humidity corresponds to temperatures that very rarely exceed 18ºC. The dehumidifier brought the HR down to around 60% and the temperature rose to a nice 24ºC, and to make it clear what the impact of such humidity in the grow area is, it's as simple as that in less than 8 hours connected, the dehumidifier tank that holds 11 liters filled up completely, and with that, it's easy to understand the problems that arise in flowering with humidity conditions like these. In summary, the Auto Dark Purple is moving forward. It's not impressive in size but it does impress with the variety of its colors and its compact nature. I have faith that even in flowering, it can continue to stretch in height and with that in its flowering structure, and something distinctive is its berry aroma, (it's like a wine aroma and a bit sweet, which is a novelty in my growing experiences... the terpenes of this strain are very different from lemon aromas or others that lean towards "cake" and I'm quite curious to know what this strain will have as a characteristic after drying and curing. TommyBVRSA75 Let's see what this lady has that has me so hooked on her... Superb. Compact and very impressive in its indica structure. It's by no means a cultivar of large dimensions, and I've had some that were grows of no more than 50/60 centimeters, but they end up being the "bomb" in terms of smoke quality and quantity obtained. What this grow has is coming in with loose reins, with the wonderful purple hues and its aroma that the experience in terms of fragrance and palate is entirely based on terpenes that have a hint of wine and berries. Very soon the entire structure of buds will be purple, and the colors are also something that makes the plant a palette of incredible tones. God Jah, gifting the eyes and senses, a plant that is not just another one, but an incredible experience... Green greets and joy in the world...

TommyBVRSA75 64 Days and the time has come. The final flush was today and in 5 days we will do the manicure and cut. Many times some friends who are starting out in this or others who prefer different methods ask me why I do the final flush and do manicure and cut sometimes just 72 hours later... and it's very simple, since I started using airpots and incorporating mycorrhizae and trichoderma, the necessary time is just this, so short. Mycorrhizae and trichoderma stabilize the way the grows integrate nutrients, and in general, the substrates are not loaded with nutrients, and airpots do not allow the root system to have blind concentration areas (like when in traditional plastic or ceramic pots, the root system would wrap around the base). With this, 10 liters with 40 ml of Canna Flush as an initial watering to break down any nutrient crystals, we wait about half an hour and then do a generous watering for about 15 minutes supplying running water, and by the end of that time, the running water is already coming out clean, which means that what was excess attached to the roots is gone... With this, we avoid the flush process with the obligation of continuous waterings in the following 7 to 14 days, as the "traditional" flushes used to be done. The mycorrhizae and trichoderma through root expansion, and I will show you the photos at the base of the airpot so you can see that in 64 days there are abundant roots and mycorrhizal root thread systems, and that's why these fungi are the wonder of wonders. Not only for the biological protection against pathogens but especially for the way they develop root systems and filamentous fungal threads that integrate nutrients and water just right, meaning that with mycorrhizae and trichoderma there are no tricks in how the systems just "eat and drink" what they need, and with that, processes like the final flush are done more quickly and effectively, because there are no excess nutrients and what is in excess mycorrhizae have long since converted into sugars and chelates that soil bacteria "eat"... and you might say, oh, and a flush with so much running water doesn’t wash away the bacteria and organic matter in the soil?!? And I respond, yes... but not in a quantity that would render the substrate useless for the next grow, as the efficient development and dispersion of the root system holds a lot of organic matter and fauna and flora in the substrate. And then by adding some organic matter at the beginning and doing as I always do, growing with enzyme contributions, the soils can be recycled easily and effectively... and all this comes from the experience we have in what we do, because before it was time to throw substrates away and time to do flushes and only after almost 15 days, do the harvest... so by combining airpots, mycorrhizal fungi, and trichoderma, some Azo bacteria, and always using enzymes, CalMag, and Silica in the grows, there will always be magnificent plant developments and especially herbs that we enjoy smoking without a scratch in the throat and without flavors that have nothing to do with the terpenes or natural resins of cannabis.
