Flipped to 12/12 yesterday (3/4) but will not consider the first day of flower until the plants begin to stretch and cluster...this is how it is done outdoors in nature, so it's how I've always done it as well...makes more sense than just saying the first day of flower is the flip day. This will, however, be the final week of veg. Ushio 600w HPS installed and is running 700 PPFD in the middle and 550 PPFD in the far corners at 23 inches above the top of the canopy. Plant A (5gal fully organic) is growing well but is (once again) showing a slight magnesium deficiency, so Epsom will be doubled for the next watering. Plant B (5gal syn-organic) is by far my favorite so far...larger than the other potted plants (obviously not larger than the DWC plant), but also a fantastic stem rub. Plant C is doing great but is growing much smaller than the two 5gal plants, disproving the theory that smaller pots and more feedings will grow as large or larger plants than plants potted in larger pots. Plant D (3gal DWC) is without doubt the largest plant...its root system is beautiful and massive with no rot to speak of, and it has at least 25 tops. It is worth noting that the stem rub of the DWC plants smells exactly like a pine tree, whereas the others have more funk, with the fully organic and syn-organic leading the way. Clones were taken on 3/2 and are doing wonderfully...the clone that was mentioned in the week 4 veg update has now rooted but unfortunately not in time to flower, so I will have to figure out what to do with her. Overall, no complaints, and things are coming together nicely. The flower hasn't been tested yet but if I had to guess at this point Plant B clone will be my S1 mother. Sensi Bloom has replaced Sensi Grow as the base, and PK13/14 has begun at 10% of the base strength used...I will detail my flowering nutrition regimen next week. Solution PPM's range anywhere from 500-1260 depending on the plant/grow method. Heavy defoliation has begun...I've already pulled half a small trash can of leaves over the past week trying to keep bud sites open. Will be contacting the lab to set up a THC/Terpene test for all plants prior the end of week 3. VPD bouncing around between 1.1-1.4.
