Wrapping up week 1 of flower and things are still looking great. The tent is an absolute jungle right now, I'm doing my very best to wait until week 3 to defoliate after the buds have set but it's testing my patience with all the excess foliage. Plant A (5g fully organic) is showing the slightest bit of calcium def on some of the lower foliage, so as much as I hate to do it (I wanted to grow this plant with no nitrates) I am going to have to dose her with some CaMg on the next feeding. She really is looking nice but I don't want to see the calcium def move any further. Plant B (5g syn-organic) is still the largest and healthiest of the soil/soilless plants by far...lush and a really funky stem rub. Plant C (3g fully synthetic soilless) is growing beautifully but is just a smaller plant with a litlle less stem rub than A and B. Plant D (3g DWC) is annoyingly huge. The pictures don't do it justice...we are only at the beginning of week 2 flower, this plant is going to be a lunker. Not much stem rub for this one though, which is a bummer. VPD is bouncing around between 1.1-1.4 and PPFD is 800 in the middle and 550 in the corners...I'm trying to wait until the buds set and the plants stop stretching before I raise the light, but we'll see how it goes. I've never grown this strain before and it's super aggressive and stretchy. PPM for the hydro plant is 1360 with the others ranging between 200-860. Clones have all rooted nicely and will be kept in a very slow state of vegetation until the winner of this run has been picked (I'm fully expecting B at the moment), then I will reverse pollinate to S1's and collect some pollen for the bank. As promised last week, here is my flowering feeding schedule (adjust as necessary):
