6 Sour Brulee seeds dropped into pure distilled water pH'd to 6.0 - Jar left overnight in humidity dome with Super Sprouter propagation heat mat to stay 10 degrees above ambient temp (water was 78F), all 6 seeds popped with 2-6 mm long taproot showing 24 hrs later. Transferred to GH Rapid Rooters that soaked overnight in distilled water with 1ml/g Rapid Start - placed into humidity dome then into propagation tent under 10 watt LED light - PPFD 130, DLI 8.4 @ 18/6 photoperiod. VPD 0.6. Will only be growing 4 of these 6 seeds, two will be discarded based on growth characteristics. This is a breeding run.
Update: 5 days after planting - everything moving along smoothly. One of the seedlings displayed irregular growth so I went ahead and removed it...I will be looking to remove one more before transplanting to the main grow area as only 4 of these will be grown out. These will be going into solo cups this week to start the veg cycle, and once they have an established root system they will be transplanted to the main grow area under the HID. PPFD 150 VPD between 0.5-0.8.
The water source for this run will be well/tap h20 cut to roughly 80/20. My well water is 50ppm/5.1pH and tap is 125ppm/7.0pH so I cut to about 80ppm/6.4pH and aerate for 24 hrs... this works wonderfully.
