These girls smell amazing of fresh pineapples. Thier buds are a decent size on the big girl and perfectly formed but small on the pygmy Buddha. There is a diff between the growcaps and rdwc in flavour but this was expected. The smoke is nice and smooth and is a pleasent high with energy but a relaxed attitude and chatty.

amazing product

Wow we finally got to the last harvest. This has been a massive learning curve on the rdwc front for me. I have had ups ,downs and round and rounds with it from water disasters to a virual toxic garden and they have come through strong in the end. I look forward to more barneys strains now and plan to use a few of these girls again

Thanks for hanging in with me. good luck with your grows

Ganjagrandaddy!! Wow! You certainly went through the ringer bro, and well done for not giving up.. like you I’m about to start an Autoflowering grow in my homemade RDWC..I’m a complete novice at growing but reading through all of your comments have helped me a lot to be aware where things could go wrong..
I’ve made a 4 20 litre bucket and 40 litre reservoir to sit outside my tent as not much room for it.. tent size 1.20m x 1.20m x 1.80m..
How did you control your water/nute temp as I’ve heard the ideal temp is around 65f ?
Also, how did you change your water and how often?..
I’ll be using GHE basic nutes flora grow flora bloom and flora micro... I’m not sure what else, except root protection and a pk for bloom.. any advice on this bro?
Also I may invest in a chiller to keep water/nute temp at a constant 65f
Anyway bud, you must have loved the fruits of your labour, especially as you nearly lost them but percevered and came out a winner.. respect for that bro...
Waiting now to see if you’ll get back to me.. happy days !!

@Kirby, hi.matey. thanks for the comments.
I changed my nutes at different intervals dependant on what part of the cycle the gh nute chart is on and the rootzone looks happy. If two weeks are the same mix , then i tended to leave the res change until the new cycles mix was needed. This means daily checks of ph and ppm to see if any top ups of water or nutes etc..,

are needed.
I cannot stress HYDROGUARD or a other res protector enough. Even with temps controlled, the roots are so vulnerable to pythos. I have wrapped buckets in roofing insulation and also the tops , this keeps the heat from the room AND the lights from heating the buckets. Air bubbles in each bucket will also stave off most issues , so a good supply of oxygenated water helps. Air stones are usable BUT noisy and very limited to their output. I made my own soaker pipe , air rings ( on my barneys farm journal in link below , not sure which page of it but has pics of them.) that work brilliantly and where cheap to make and easy to construct too.
There are diff products on the market for keeping res, pythos and danger free . Some are for a sterile system which means NO beneficial bacteria products should be used as it will kill them off too. ( i.e H2O2 , SILVER ROOTS , PEROXIDE based ones) and then there are products that work WITH beneficial bacterias to keep the res clean by colonisation of disease hungry microbes. ( HYDROGUARD , HYGROZYM , CANNAZYM, Ect..) These ones allow for a more organic route for nutes and additives. I have a great chart for using gh flora nutes that has been adjusted for our systems so doesnt need halving before using etc...
It is a basic plan but is brilliant and will supply everything they need. You can then add the additives you want on top too. Love the gh trio so far. Hydroguard is brilliant and i am using it during veg for better root building. Once i go i to flower and am happy with root size , i will be switching to silver roots to run sterile. Sterile res can slow root production , hence the change once flowering. ( 1st time using this way for me so is a trial too!)
Rdwc is great once you have it sussed but can appear very confusing and is easy to make a big mistake , thankfully it is also easy to rectify quickly too. Quick summary
Hydroguard 2ml per gallon
Lots of air from pumps
dark rootzone with no light at all getting in
cool res/buckets below 21°c ( frozen bottles of water if needed)
Steady feeding schedule ( less is more!!!!!)
Airflow around the plants making them dance a little
simple L.S.T
Light
Great harvest and enjoyable grow.
I will happily follow your grow with you and if i can help in any way , please feel free to shout out.
Welcome to the diaries
