King's Tart / Z Pointer (Diary #7)

Seedling week: Just trying to keep the environment consistent and in target range. Starting to prep the coco for larger containers as well. My pH reader took a shit (and out of warranty) so I grabbed a bluelab pen to replace it. Apparently the cheaper Hanna reader is garbage and rarely lasts a year. I got 3 out of it so s'all good. I'll keep the seedlings in these square pots until roots start coming out the bottom. Then into 3 gallon bags for the rest of the way. Really want to focus on not stressing them out this time, as I've had some hermies in past grows. Will be trying to stay on top of substrate pH and EC as well. Coco is buffered to 1.0 EC with a heavy dose of Calmag. I will flush the EC down to around 0.7 with a light compost tea before transplanting. At least another week to go before that though. Ambient humidity is getting closer to range so I've started taking off the dome and giving the seedlings a bit of a breeze to strengthen up. Week(end) update: Started my fertigation schedule on day 6. I'm mixing 1/4 strength compost tea with some CalMag for the first two weeks. Events are every 36 hours. Started to measure the runoff values to see where the substrate was at and after the first watering, EC was at 1.5. Likely some salts leftover from the old coco spiking that number so I watered again and everything seems to be where it should be.
