This girl grew great outdoors and had little to no bugs or Disease. I made the mistake of topping the plant 3 times which cause this girl to get massive and I didn't have the proper supports for her. I will be growing this again next summer for sure. I had to pull her a little earlier than I wanted do to weather. Not sure why I can't get a smiling face for my diary?

I want to start by thanking everyone for the help with this one, I sure needed it. I am very happy with the yield from this plant. The smell and taste of this strain is awesome and very enjoyable to vape. I can really smell cheese and lemon but I only taste the lemon. I will be making tinctures and edibles mainly as I do not smoke and hardly vape. The buds were very fluffy but that is because I had to pull most of the plant before it was ready do to weather. The number of buds site that plant had was crazy it I would have had another 2 weeks outside this plant would have probably yield 2 lbs. 😀0

Grow Questions

I am concerned at the large crack I found near the base of my plant. I have this plant tied down in several spots and I'm assuming that is what caused the cracks. Is there anything I can do or should do to to minimize the damage? It's been tied down for about 12 days now.

Well you can, Bend it with tape, wire, tows anything to keep it together, your plant is getting heavier in the following Weeks. give her something to lean on , bind her on bamboo sticks, give her spalieres, anything that she can lean on and giving her weigh to the sticks. give her a corsage out of an old fence anything you can do that she can lean on.. happy growing

I still have half of this girl outside and the temperatures are getting low at night. The lowest so far has been 5 C but this week they are predicting as low as 0. So I be concerned? what effect does the cold weather have on the plant.

Cold temperatures are terrible for plants , anything under 15C becomes dangerous more than a day or so. Freezing temperatures are actually dangerous, if it freezes your plant will wilt and die simple as that. between freezing and 15C, the plant will stop growing, wilt, leaves will discolor, and its disease resistance will be lower ... eventually it will die, so don t leave it more than two days if you can ! You gotta keep it a bit warmer. Maybe build a greenhouse around the plant, it's surprisingly effective and can be quite cheap. Hope this helps ! 🚀

If the plant freezes the water in its cells will also freeze and ice makes sharp crystals that will puncture the cell walls that get frozen.freeze a cucumber and defrost it to see this in action.

Oh thats hard that she is broken, but hemp is very strong and resiliant , It started with the branch and got worse. but its nrmal , a lot growes give their plants a "Corsage" to grow. ( Corset) or something that supports her

@Mrs_Larimar,thanks I'm going to look for some bees wax today
Mrs_Larimar

@CBDezz,Maah thats bad. normally the plant does it by herself. But if you can get take Propolis( from Bees) and put it onto the wound, you can seal it with beeswax too ( warming the beeswax in your hand) . Propolis is a natural Antibiotika. keeps away bacterias happy growing. If you dont can get those things try to get some Treewax, where you can seal wounds ( treewounds) if you cut an branch fom an tree. Know what i mean. just the best whishes...

@CBDezz, yeah man ... i don t know if you're in europe or canada or whatever, but when it gets cold it's quite normal to build a tree blanket or something... you feel kinda silly putting a blanket on a tree maybe, but you 'll feel so smart once you're harvesting all that high grade :-)

@CRiSPrGrow,oh wow thanks for the advice I will try and build a green house or something around it. There are still so many buds on her I would hate for it to go to waste

@Mrs_Larimar, now that you mention it there is a little slit in the arm at the joint to the main stem. I was going to cut it off but it's such a large arm I would hate to loose all the potential flowers

Hi @CBDezz, what a beautiful bush you got there! You can use some duck-tape or electrical-tape to wrap the broken part. Then add support with bamboo-sticks into the ground and/or strings pulled to something above the plant, in order to relieve the broken part from too much weight. Remove all of your bending tools, let her breath and rest. Protecting her from the wind might be helpful too. Keep us up-to-date, and happy growing 👊

I have no experience of Outdoor but the explanation offered of a damaged branch could explain slowed flowering rate... Also where the plant is positioned relative to the path of the sun could cause one side of the plant to get less light than the other causing accelerated flowering on one side. (East facing side would see early Morning light which is also going to contain more blue light than the West facing side which would receive more daylight generally as well as more of the Red Spectrum light which we all know improves flowering) Good Luck...Hope Franco's creation turns out well for you.
