Week 3 | Growing 2024-02-29 | D 22 (LST & Topping) Time: 02:34 🌿Plant📈: Size: 11 cm Visual: Old leaves - Dark Green. New leaves are bleached. And on one side clawing down - like from fan stress. Smell: Weak. Operations: LST: Connected top colas to the big fan leaves with a wire to bend them down. Bending down the top fan leaves - to even the canopy. 💨Air: Temp: 20-21.5 C. Humidity: 65-75 % Comments: Dehumidifier doesn't help. Humidity is very high. After "night time" bottom leaves (which are too close to each other) have condensate. 💨Around the Canopy: Temp: 21.5-22.5 C. Humidity: 70-75 % 💡Lights: Distance: 36-42 cm Intensity: 50-75 % Time: 09:28 🌿Plant (Topping): Operations: Topping (Main-Lining): 2 bottom colas (will become 4). 2024-03-01 | D 23 (Growth Accelerating) Time: 01:46 🌿Plant📈: Size: 12 cm Width: 38 cm Visual: Erect leaves (probably because the top level of the soil is dry, so the plant no longer shows signs of overwatering). Grew a lot in the past 12 hours. Smell: Weak. Operations: LST: Removed wires from the trunk and top leaves. 💨Air: Temp: 20-21.5 C. Humidity: 65-70 % Comments: All night time dehumidifier and the fan were ON - it may have been beneficial 💨Around the Canopy: Temp: 22.5-23.5 C. Humidity: 60-65 % Comment: The top of the coco is dry - that's why the humidity here is lower. 💡Lights: Distance: 35-40 cm Intensity: 55-75 % Comment: Change between 55% and ~70-75% from time to time. Time: 05:00 🌿Plant📈: Visual: Leaves dropped - I suspect because of light intensity (65-75% seems to be too much) 💡Lights: Distance: 35-40 cm Intensity: 50 % Comment: Reduced back to 50%. NEW STRATEGY: Increase ~3% every other day. (+3 - Pause - +3 - Pause) 2024-03-02 | D 24 (Top Topping) Time: 02:23 💡Lights: Distance: 35 cm Intensity: 53 % 💨Air: Temp: 20-21.5 C. Humidity: 60-70 % 💨Around the Canopy: Temp: 22-23 C. Humidity: 60-70 % 🌿Plant📈: Visual: Leaves of new growth are curling down (like a claw). Overall the plant looks good: maybe slightly nitrogen deficient. Operations: Topping (Main-Lining): 2 top colas. Nutrients Prepared (ml/L) : Calmag: 1.3 Root Booster: 8 Micro: 2.25 Grow: 3 Bloom: 1.5 Volume: 1.5 L 💧Feeding {Time: 03:01}: Volume: 1.5 L PH: 6 PPM: 1290 EC: 2180 2024-03-03 | D 25 (High Nitrogen - Acceleration) Time: 01:00 💡Lights: Distance: 35 cm Plant grew up - I've moved the lights +2 cm up. Intensity: 56 % Adjusting intensity ~3% per day. 💨Air: Temp: 20-21.5 C. Humidity: 60-70 % FAN 2: Turned Off (because leaves are curling down - a sign of fan stress) 💨Around the Canopy: Temp: 22-23 C. Humidity: 65-75 % 🌿Plant📈: Size: 17 cm Width: 40 cm Visual: Dark Green Leaves - way darker than when I checked the last time - the result of high Nitrogen feeding. Leaves grow very fast - colas not so fast. Top new leaves (on top colas) have some anomaly growth (IN RACHIS AREA): brown/yellow/light-green spots and damage (like leaves were pierced). Smell: Weak Comment: Seems like this time Nitrogen needs of the plant were met. Somehow all of my feedings lacked Nitrogen and the plant always was slightly deficient (which resulted in the yellow color of new leaves). It makes me think that even Aggressive Feeding Schedule isn't aggressive enough - that's weird considering that this schedule is 2-3 x higher in nutrients than normal and FastBuds recommended 13 of normal nutrients regime for this strain. Time: 07:09 🌿Plant (LST): Operations: LST: Pulled down the bottom colas from both sides of the pot: 2 wires 4 clips. Pulled down the top fan leaves coming from the trunk - it pulled the top colas as well. Time: 19:59 Nutrients Prepared (ml/L) : Calmag: 1.3 Root Booster: 8 Micro: 2.5 Grow: 3 Bloom: 1.5 Volume: 1.5 L 💧Feeding {Time:21:00}: Volume: 1.5 L PH: 5.9 🌿Plant (LST): Operations: LST: Pulled down the top 2 branches coming from the trunk. Removed the wire from top leaves. Stabilized the trunk. 2024-03-04 | 26 (BURN?) 🌿Plant📈: Visual: Top Leaves show signs of nutrient burn (maybe). Top Leaves are erect. Other leaves - not. I've done some "LST" on them with my hands and now the leaves are pointing upwards, maybe the plant will remember this position and stay like this (it will maximize light absorption). Smell: Weak (But getting stronger) Comment: Possible Nutrient Burn. I'm prepared to flush. 💡Lights: Distance: 42 cm Intensity: 69 % Comment: Moved lights up and increased intensity - to compensate in PPFD - 69% at this distance should be about the same as PPDF and previous distance. 💨Air: Temp: 21-23.5 C. Humidity: 60-65 % FAN 2: ON 💨Around the Canopy: Temp: 23-25.5 C. Humidity: 60-65 % 2024-03-05 | D 27 🌿Plant📈: Visual: DARKER - high nitrogen feeding is working. Growth accelerated since last feeding. Smell: Weak (But getting stronger) Nutrients Prepared (ml/L) : Calmag: 1.5 Root Booster: 7.5 Micro: 2.5 Grow: 3.5 Bloom: 1.5 Volume: 2 L 💧Feeding {Time:02:00}: Volume: 2 L PH: 6 EC: 3200 💡Lights: Distance: 35 cm Intensity: 75 % Comment: Increase to 75% and move back to 35 cm. Time: 12:20 💡Lights: Distance: 32 cm Intensity: 75 % Comment: Moved lights down. 2024-03-06 | D 28 (SOIL PH) Time: 01:00 🌍 Substrate: PH: 5.3-5.4 Measurement Depth: 11-13 cm (30 cm tall substrate overall) Measurement Report: I've placed PH meter in 2 points on opposite sides of the pot: 2/3 of the radius. Deeper I went - lower the PH became: starting from 6.0 (top). It makes me think that even deeper (closer to the bottom of the pot) - the PH is even lower (Probably 5 or lower). CONCLUSION: 1. I have to water with the runoff - to prevent the build-up of salts. (Hard to do, the volume must be massive, no matter how much and how often I'm watering I have no runoff - even for 2.5 L with 2 L every day) 2. Flushing would be good. 3. Immediate adjustments in PH of the feeding solution should be made - 6.5 PH. Comment: Today I've bought a PH meter for the soil. 🌿Plant📈: Visual: Booming in size, growing fast. No signs of the light stress - the opposite: top leaves are erect. Signs of nutrients deficiencies, or maybe PH imbalances. (However, Nitrogen deficiencies not so present as before.) Smell: Weak (But getting stronger) Operations: Removed all LST Defoliated 2 bottom fan leaves Nutrients Prepared (ml/L) : Calmag: 1.3 Root Booster: 0 Micro: 2 Grow: 2.4 Bloom: 0.4 Volume: 2.5 L 💧Feeding {Time:02:00}: Volume: 2.5 L PH: 6.5 💨Air: Temp: 21-23 C. Humidity: 65-75 % 💨Around the Canopy: Temp: 22-24.5 C. Humidity: 70-80 %

Impressive diary! That is some next level dedication you showed us! Very impressed by the fact that you topped all of your 4 main stems again after the first topping. I am currently at day 17 and like the idea, maybe I will give it a try as well. Thank you for sharing your journey and best of luck for all your current and future growing projects! 🙏🌱

Did you use only one ts1000?
GiornoGiovanna420
GiornoGiovanna420
@Zarayju, Yes. I thought that PAR may be not enough for my space from just one TS1000, but seems like everything is ok.

@NamasteDave, Hehe. In the past I was growing 4 plants in the same space. But they always grew too much and at some point I thought that just one will be enough - with good training. Seems like it is true.

Did you really top both branches from the first node, or does it just look like it? I am currently soaking a blue dream seed as well and your plant looks like it's going to be a huge harvest 👍🏻

@GnomesAndStones, From my notes: 2024-02-24 | D 17 (Main-Lining) 🕒Time: 02:51 🌿Plant (Topping): 🔧Operations: Topping after the 3 rd node. 1 st node is removed, with the leaves. 2024-02-29 | D 22 (🌱LST & Topping) 🌿Plant (Topping): 🔧Operations: Topping (Main-Lining): 2 bottom branches (will become 4). 2024-03-02 | D 24 (Top Topping) 🔧Operations: Topping (Main-Lining): 2 top branches. So I've removed the first node and everything after the 3rd. Leavin 2 and 3 only.

Following along as I will try this strain in the near future, also growing in coco. Best of luck the rest of the way. There are plant ties that have a rubber like coating so they are softer and do not cut into the stems as you experienced, something you may want to consider for next time.

@NamasteDave, 👍Thanks I'm not sure why I haven't used something better for LST than the cheap wires I bought. After the damage to the branches, I looked at my net made of thick ropes and thought: "This net rope looks exactly like my camping ropes". Gonna use ropes from now on, it is way easier to set and adjust, and there is no damage.
