Week 5 | FLOWERING D 36-42
2024-03-15 | D 37
🕒Time: 06:24
🌿Plant:
👀Visual:
Leaves are erect.
New growth is yellow between veins - Sulfur Deficiency or Light Stress.
Leaves have purple Peciolos - supporting evidence of Phosphorous deficiencies.
Growing fast.
UNBALANCED GROWTH - 3 colas are tall and 3 colas are not very tall (especially two of them).
Branches became way harder and stiffer - adaptation to the stress.
GIANT ROOT pierced the bottom of the pot at the side. Great, means that Root Booster worked.
💡Lights:
📏Distance: 35 cm
🔆Intensity: 65 %
💬Comment: Moved away and reduced intensity - because of signs of light stress.
🌱LST:
Removed all LST.
Stretched branches with hands (not a long-term solution, but it works).
Defoliation:
Bottom leaves.
Nutrients Prepared (ml/L) :
💧CalMag: 1.2
🔬Micro: 0.5
🌱Grow: 0.5
🌸Bloom: 3
🌱Root Booster: 1

2024-03-16 | D 38 (Defoliation and The Net)
🕒Time: 02:12
Defoliation:
Center fan leaves.
Top fan leaves on tallest colas.
Side bottom fan leaves (was unnecessary, but I did anyway - they are not getting too much light).
💡Lights:
📏Distance: 35 cm
🔆Intensity: 60 %
💬Comment: Reduced intensity - to let the plant recover after the defoliation.
💨Air:
🌡️Temp: 21-23 C.
💧Humidity: 75-85 %
💬Comment: Humidity Very High.
🕒Time: 09:29
💡Lights:
📏Distance: 45 cm
🔆Intensity: 100 %
💬Comment: Increased to max intensity and effective distance. Let the plant stretch more and distribute the light over the growing space.
🌿Plant:
📈Height: 30 cm
📏Width: 40 cm
👃Smell: Medium.
👀Visual:
Leaves perked.
Color normalizing - yellowing could have been from LIGHT.
Uneven growth - some branches are really tall while others are small.
💬Comments: Growth is very uneven I wish I could do more LST to expose small growth to the light.

🕒Time: 07:00
💡Lights:
📏Distance: 40 cm
🔆Intensity: 100 %
💬Comment: Not sure whether it's too much or not enough. No signs of light stress on the plant.
🕒Time: 12:26
🌿Plant:
📈Height: 26 cm
📏Width: 50x40 cm
👃Smell: Medium/Weak
👀Visual:
Colas Perked Up after the net installation - a good sign.
Leaves grew a lot in the first ~8 hours after net installation.
Yellow tips on the new leaves - not sure why, maybe nutrient burn.
💬Comments: I've noticed that first 12-14 hours after the lights turns on the plant looks very erect, but then leaves droop. Also, the growth seems to be mainly in this time when the plant is erect.
💨Air:
🌡️Temp: 22
💧Humidity: 75 %
💬Comments: Very high.
💨Around the Canopy:
🌡️Temp: 24-26

New growth is yellow in veins.
💬Comments: Grows rapidly, but these yellow leaves are concerning.

Impressive diary! That is some next level dedication you showed us! Very impressed by the fact that you topped all of your 4 main stems again after the first topping. I am currently at day 17 and like the idea, maybe I will give it a try as well.
Thank you for sharing your journey and best of luck for all your current and future growing projects! 🙏🌱
@NamasteDave, Hehe. In the past I was growing 4 plants in the same space. But they always grew too much and at some point I thought that just one will be enough - with good training. Seems like it is true.
Did you really top both branches from the first node, or does it just look like it? I am currently soaking a blue dream seed as well and your plant looks like it's going to be a huge harvest 👍🏻
@GnomesAndStones, From my notes:
2024-02-24 | D 17 (Main-Lining)
🕒Time: 02:51
🌿Plant (Topping):
🔧Operations:
Topping after the 3 rd node.
1 st node is removed, with the leaves.
2024-02-29 | D 22 (🌱LST & Topping)
🌿Plant (Topping):
🔧Operations:
Topping (Main-Lining):
2 bottom branches (will become 4).
2024-03-02 | D 24 (Top Topping)
🔧Operations:
Topping (Main-Lining):
2 top branches.
So I've removed the first node and everything after the 3rd. Leavin 2 and 3 only.
Following along as I will try this strain in the near future, also growing in coco. Best of luck the rest of the way.
There are plant ties that have a rubber like coating so they are softer and do not cut into the stems as you experienced, something you may want to consider for next time.
@NamasteDave, 👍Thanks
I'm not sure why I haven't used something better for LST than the cheap wires I bought.
After the damage to the branches, I looked at my net made of thick ropes and thought: "This net rope looks exactly like my camping ropes".
Gonna use ropes from now on, it is way easier to set and adjust, and there is no damage.
