We've had some bad weather so the first week wasn't optimal. Loads of rain so I had to keep the girls where there was less light. This girl has been growing normally so far.
Thanks to some not so good weather we have a pretty slow growth. Hopefully she'll be ready for topping in a few days. I will cut her above the fourth node.
So, firstly I'd like to apologise for the lack of updates. My camera stopped transferring photos to my tablet, and I haven't been able to retrieve those photos. I have been forced to purchase a new laptop to use instead.
These are some photos taken by my phone.
I will try to add some photos from the camera later...
This monster just wouldn't start flowering, and now she has grown into a full on bush!! She's only sitting in a 11 litre pot and she drinks 4 litres of water a day!
Sadly, she's no longer on the schedule I had planned, and she'll keep flowering for a couple of months more. All of August I'm leaving the country and there is no one that can take care of her. I plan to build a watering system that'll keep her hydrated for the month. I've started preparing her already by top dressing flower nutes. Unfortunately I haven't found any flower boosters I can apply by top dressing, so she'll have to do with the top dressed nutes only.
This is a big lady! She is 110 cm tall and very wide. She's forming some massive colas. I have removed some leaves on a daily basis.
In about one week I will leave her and she will be unattended for a whole month. I have started to prepare her by top dressing her. I have given her dry bloom nutes and bat guano and some malted barley. Thanks for the tip about the barley, @Northern_Ent 🙏
I will too dress her once more in a week's time. Then she'll only get silicon in the water for a whole month.
I've purchased a 250 litre water tank to keep her hydrated during August. Over the week I'll build an irrigation system.
So, yesterday I had to leave this big girl, and now she'll be unattended for a while month! Fingers crossed that she'll survive...
I built an irrigation system that hopefully will work for the month. I put about 200 litres of water in the tank and only added pH down and some stuff that should stop germs from growing in the tank. My main worry is the rising pH that increases a bit every day. It'll probably be close to pH 8 by the end of the month.
I top dressed with some dry bloom nutes, guano, and malted barley. Hopefully that'll keep her happy enough during the month.
I sprayed her with a mix of Neem and Potassium soap to try to keep the bugs away.
Sadly the plant is not happy on her own. When I checked in on her the other day through my surveillance camera I saw a collapsed plant. She might have got too heavy, or there has been a storm. I am over 3,000 Kms away and there is nothing I can do for her for another couple of weeks. Hopefully she'll survive. At least my irrigation system is working and she is still hydrated.
😞
So, have a look at the photos. This is what I came back home to after leaving the plant unattended for 1 month.
There was so much dead plant materia on it. Apparently the irrigation system wasn't optimal.
The last 3 pics show the plant after I cleaned it up. I'm not sure wether to try to tie up the branches or just leave it like that.
I had to leave the plant unattended again for another week since I had to leave the country again.
This is supposed to be an auto, but I don't think it is. It refuses to flower! It is over 5 months old now.
I'm not sure wether I'll just cut it down or not. It takes a lot of space and needs about 4 litres of nutrient mix a day. We'll see what I'll do....
I sadly had to chop this unfortunate girl. Parts of her kept dying and she was attracting a lot of bugs. I'm about to start new grows and don't want those bugs to hang around...
This turned into an old lady that refused to flower. Due to new little babies coming now I had to chop her. Thanks to both space issues and worries about having bugs near new plants.
You should add some malted barley to the top dressed fertilizer nutes. Cheap and provide P, K and enzymes as flowering nutes. Good luck with the month long watering system.
Oh this girl has the heady look. I like this one! Autos are really special. I think it demands on how much the ruderalis % is. Some clutivars has arround 15-20% of ruderalis genetics others just 1,5-3%. Even though I think the feminized % are going into something like dominating and recessiving against the ruderalis. Then sativa/indica has also impact to the performance . I had selfing seeds from an feminized auto LSD-25, breed a f1 out of these 8seed (3fem 1male) got arround 300seeds, grow a few a year, Al of those are doing it other ways, some kick into flower after 2weeks others after 10weeks, also the flower time is heavy different. This year she started in late February, she started flower on 16.06 she made 16 weeks flower. One of the resistant plants against mold and insects!. Those flowers can lift up more than 100g flower materials. It has something like the flowers were clever enough to read the weather and decides when it is time 4 flowering. Many words, wish u fun and also luck. 🍀 🖖
Cheers brother,
Hehe, yes some plants just don't do it like others.... 😄
Unfortunately I had to chop her. She was talking up too much space on my terrace, parts of her kept dying and she attracted bugs. I'm starting 11 new plants and don't want a bug factory right next to them... I'm doing all photo plants this time, they're bit more predictable 😄
Whats up Growmie, nice Grow keep up the good work 👌🏽🍀 check out mine, maybe you got some tipps 🙏🏽 don‘t forget to Like & follow if you like my organic grows 💯
