The Hobbit has seen some really good growth, while the Rhino Ryder growth has been slow. I tried to be more consistent with my watering this week because I knew I was transplanting. The transplant went well. I just cut the bottom of the cup off at the resevoir line, inspected the roots, then I cut a slit up one side of the cup before placing it in the 5 gallon bucket filled with CoCo and Growstones. The day of transplanting each plant got half nutes. On the final day of the week I gave them a full does of nutes split between both plans since they looked like they were recovering nicely. My only current issue is heat which came from adding the second HLG65 quantum board. I moved both ballast out of the grow box to take that heat away but the boards themselves still get pretty hot. I will need to figure out a way to keep temps down.
Nice tote man! Just saw your post on reddit. I was also conserned about hight, that is why I wanted a bucket, they are easier to stack. But totes give more width to work with.
Good luck and keep it up!
@CloudSlappy, I can emanate that's a pain in the ass! Luckily it's a joy to work on and expand spacebuckets with new features 😁 keep us updated on your setup, very interesting stuff!
@Trainrails,Thanks! I will definitely be adding a scrog. If I can keep the height to 1/2 the bottom tote then height won't be an issue at all. The bigger problem with height is the difference between the two plants and having the lights at a height that makes sense for both. I may put all the lights on a rail system that would allow for adjustable height of the quantum boards while keeping the cob centered.
@HighTV, Yea they are both getting pretty full. I'm starting to finally see some vertical growth, but nothing explosive. I'm hoping to get at least 2' tall.
