No photos at this stage unfortunately. Planted directly in soil, no pre-germination or so. Just moist substrate, the seed planted not very deep and covered with a pinch of soil. In just two days the head of the seedling showed up. The only problem would be that due to lack of light the seedling quickly stretched and got leggy. Little did I know at the time that it would be a problem. Tried to fix it later, seemingly with some success. The first week was without any equipment, just on a windowsill with natural light (quite dull first days though), then a few days on the balcony until at the beginning of the second week I got my grow tent. Enjoying the process no matter what and excited to see what will be next.

This is my first ever grow, so I do many things offhand and try to learn as I go along. I don't have any friends who grow, so nobody even to ask for advice or so. Any help is very much appreciated. Currently it's the 3rd week, day 18. I will put here a short review of the previous weeks. 22.07 I planted a seed into moistened soil not very deep and covered the pot with some cling film and put it on a windowsill. Just an old-school method. In the morning of day 3 I already saw the seedling showing its head and first leaves. I was surprised how fast it happened. Unfortunately, at the time I didn't have a grow tent so first day or two the pot was standing on the windowsill. Those days were not very bright and the seedling started stretching. Then the sun showed up and I moved the seedling to the balcony during the day. It was already very leggy but at that time I didn't know it was a big issue. Until I finally got my grow tent and moved the seedling there. The stock was so long that it could not keep the plant vertical and started falling towards the soil horizontally. That's when I decided to takes the matters into my own hands and fix the situation. I watched some videos and realised that the only way to go without wasting the seed and time would be to bury the stock deeper in the soil. So I did that in the same pot. Since then it hasn't been leggy anymore and grew normally. However, I have a feeling that it could have been much bigger now if I had had the grow tent and proper conditions for my seedling (and I could do with a bit more experience for sure). But I have what I have and try to take it as some learning curve. So now it's on day 18, getting bigger with each passing day. I try to keep it more humid in the tent (60-65%) but sometimes it's just around 50% at 27-28°C during the day and 25°C at night. I don't have any humidifier at the moment. The inline fan works at a low speed. Today I also discovered that I actually should open the lower vents on my tent so that the air could go inside more easily. The light distance is 37cm (14.5"), dimmed to about 50%. Just a few days ago (already during week 3) I watered my plant with root juice (I didn't have it earlier), hoping that my plant's root system will develop faster and more efficiently. Before that I watered it a few times with my mineral nutrients for the vegetative stage from a local not-famous-at-all brand. I'm wondering if I can still be a success with this first attempt of growing my plant and what I should be doing at this point. I guess it's too early to start any LST, the plant is just very small, doesn't have a lot of leaves. So I just wait and see how it grows, right? I also don't know if it's photoperiodic or autoflower one. Is there any way to check it? I didn't see any indication of that on the package. I only know the strain. Day16: about 500ml water+root juice with a bit of run-off. Day19: increased the light to about 65%. Going to start LST soon. Day20: started LST. Curious to see how it will grow further. Soil seems to finally get drier. Day21: 100ml water+nutes for vegetation That's it for now.

d22: keeps growing, I found out that she is a photoperiod plant. Good, then we can give her more time for vegetation and play with LST along the way. d23: +250ml water+root juice, bent it a bit more, looks happy so far. d24: no manipulation today. Seems like quite soon I will have to replant it into a bigger pot. d25: she is definitely outgrowing her pot. Will replant her in fabric pot in a couple of days. And will probably do two more weeks of vegetation before setting 12/12. d26: +150ml water+nutes, LST. d27: just a bit of further LST. d28: transferred her into a 5gal fabric pot. It was super stressful, couldn't get her out of the pot without damaging the roots. I hope I haven't ruined everything and the plant recovers. While replanting I added some mycorrhizal Inoculants to the soil, and watered the soil a bit. Increased the light distance to 48cm, no LST for a couple of days, will see how it goes.

Should I replant her into a bigger pot (5 gal) at some point and if so, when? Won't it be too much stress together with LST? Another questions: aren't the spaces between the nods too short? Should it be like this? It looks quite dense.

You can definitely replant her into a bigger pot (like a 5-gallon one), but timing is key to minimize stress. A good rule of thumb is to check for roots peeking out from the drainage holes at the bottom of the current pot. If you don’t see any roots yet, there’s usually no need to transplant just yet. Regarding LST (Low Stress Training), you can still do it after transplanting, but give the plant a few days to adjust before applying any additional stress. As for the node spacing, dense and short internodes can be a sign of good light conditions, so it’s generally not a problem.

Is it okay that the side buds below the main point of growth don't get that much light because of the big leaves above blocking the light? I think defoliation at this stage means too much stress and I should probably just watch it develop further and continue LST. Am I right?

Don't defoliate! ALL of the plants energy to grow and thrive is made by/in the leaves. Less leaves = less energy being made = less potential growth..............it is that simple. Besides, light spectra we humans can not see will actually penetrate upper leaves and strike so called "shaded" leaves underneath, making defoilation pointless. Defoliating such a small plant would severely reduce its ability to make enough energy to grow as fast and big as possible.

d29: she looks a bit sad but better than yesterday in the evening (quite drooping). Started noticing that the tips of the leaves are getting yellow. But I've just replanted her, so it's difficult to say what it was and if it's gonna change in the new pot and soil. d30: +200ml water+root juice. I thought it would help but the leaves still look slightly wilted :( d31: increased light intensity to 75%, LST. d32: dry soil, watered well but without a run-off d33: some LST She starts growing more rapidly and getting bushy, reacts well to the increased light. d34: removed one leaf so that other small branches could get more light. d35: LST, defoliation (a few lower leaves, close to the soil for better aeration).

The leaves have been looking drooping for a few days (since I replanted it), in the evening (photo 1) usually a bit more than in the morning (photos 2-3). What could be the reason and what can I do about it? Overwatering, underwatering, stress after replanting, light issues?

If nothing changed in your bahviour its probably just stress from replanting. if the earth didnt stay as a cube; roots and definetly microroots broke and the plant is stressed for few days. Good luck with it

if you use a trellis for only support, you still have time.. figure about half way up the future vertical growth is good for support. If used to help train the plant horizontally, put it on now or even before this point in future grows. Defoliation is not wise. Selectively pruning is fine. Always have a reason to remove a leaf. They do several important things for the plant - light absorption, molecule production/building, and they are the lungs. So, if you dont want to reduce the limiting factor of CO2 intake, don't blindly remove a bunch of leaves thinking it helps.... There''s a chance you delay flower due to the stress of it, too. Read "to defoliate or not..." on cocoforcannabis.com. the guides and posts in dr photons corner will help you avoid numerous urban myths/bro-science nonsense.

maybe some overlapping leaves that cause condensation / standing water would be wise. just be selective. Leaves do several important things including the 'lungs' of the plant. you should never take off so many that it'd cause a stress reaction. really shouldn't be an issue as to when you remove a limited number, as few as possible, leaves. if you think there is a risk of mold or infection, don't wait. The plant won't react adversely to a small percent of pruned leaves.

It's your first grow. Best advice is to keep it as simple as possible. Hubris of man is to think we know better than nature itself. Observe how the plant defoliates itself. In the future you use that experience to preemptively defoliate that which you know will be of little to no use come later in flower. Over explaining everything only serves to confuse. I guarantee any defoliation you do now will only lead to detriment. She looks healthy and happy and I'm impressed with your first grow well done. No need whatsoever. Most people stress their plants so much in the early days, 6-7 weeks of growth and plant has mass of a 2 week old grown with 0 stress.

I noticed that some leaves (mostly lower ones) are getting yellow and also have some spots. Eventually they degrade. Is it normal (4th week of bloom) or is it an indicator that something is wrong (deficiencies, nutrient burn, not enough light?)

I find this happens when over watering has been a thing and some root rot or some weird growth in the root zones is happening. Might need to amend with more perlite next time or dial in your watering habits. The yellowing of the lower older growth also does seem like it is not getting enough N. But the leaves should not be burning, twisting and collapsing into a thin folded blade. if all it was is N they just yellow nothing else. that is a key indicator to me its root issues maybe rot. Some of the spotting does look like PH but I would expect to see that on the whole plant not just some of the lower leaves.

Hello mate, you have an issue with Ca/Mg caused by a pH fluctuation or a misfeeding of Calmag product. The first cause is often link to the rate of Ca/Mg in the water used to watering the plant, if you use organic feeding you must have the rigth rate of these nutrient that is 3/1 or 4/1. Good luck and happy journey!

Hello There- I would adjust your watering schedule. Frequent, small waterings cause root issues and lots of nute buildup in the soil. I think most of the problems you've seen on your plant in your diary are related to watering. For a 5 gallon pot, you should be watering (IMO) 1+gallon (or 4liters) at a time and then at least 3-4 days before the next watering. Of course...have to pay attention to the plant. Some get very thirsty.

More than one thing can cause that, so you're best seeing how it progresses. If mindflowers is right, that's either genetics cooler temperatures (68F or below) occurring at some point in daily cycle. If it's definitely red/purple coloring, then it's just genetics / cool temps. They look black to me, but photos are deceiving.

The plant puts in the lower leaves that it is ready to sacrifice toxic elements or overdosed elements. Mineral fertilizers can cause this effect by forcing the plant to assimilate them even if it does not need them. It's normal so, there's no need to panic, the plant protects itself and manages the elements it accepts and those it rejects. 😉✌️

https://420life.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Marijuana-Leaf-Deficiency-Chart-scaled.jpg Kinda looks like a P issue. But your also almost done so could be a bit of fade? Also the feed has lots of P in it so it should not be deficient at all. Bloom 4ml 12-36-12 / Boost 3ml 9-10-38 = 10.7-24.8-23.0 NPK ratio. Ton of P. almost to much. Your suggested feeding for the nutrients used is here : https://420flow.de/cdn/shop/files/FINAL_V2.png?v=1713467798&width=1000 This is also a good tool. https://www.nutriag.com/wp-content/uploads/mulders-chart.jpg Its shows high P requires High Mg as well and can make issues with Ca. I would monitor the EC of the solution and back off some of the feeds as it nearing end of life. Also do any of them feeds say their micro content? Eg. Fe, Cu, Zn, Mo, Mb,?? Also you are getting a good amount of runoff when feeding them yes? if not it could be a build up casing issues.

It is absolutely normal for late stage flower to develop dark colors in the leaf. A lot of places are actually breeding that into the plant because it’s turned into a desirable look. I did a quick search for the RS11 plant and it looks like the majority of all the end of flower plants have a very dark purple leaf. I would say you are right on track and keep doing what you are doing. It should turn some lovely color by the time you are ready to harvest. Hope this helps.

Hmmmm. You're in ripening so as I said I in my other reply to your leaf issue. Lower your light strength and you can even higher it and it'll help ripen a larger surface area. 30cm away is for heavy floweinh you should be using 80% and dropping it so as this stage I'd say drop it to 60% and higher it a bit.

High ultra_violet, No it is not ready yet you should wait another week if you want to harvest the plant at her most potent. The orange trichomes you see are not on the buds but on the leaves. They are orange waaay before the buds. I personally like to trim from the moment I chop the plant. The cutting is just easier then when you let it dry first and you prevent mold a lot better when you cut before drying because the moist can escape a lot better. Happy Harvest Buddy! 💚
