Have many good impressive/Successful grows under my belt and after my first grow DWC it's been Bottom Fed Coco Hempy Buckets all the way..... until now. This is my first Fabric Grow bag method. Also trying Biobizz for the first time after using mostly Canna A and B before. I usually harvest a about 16 oz dry with 4 plants with this same setup. 4x4 tent 600 -700?watts total QB/Cob lights. Since switching to these lights that I Frankensteined together, from a 600w MH/HPS, this blows away HPS in my opinion overall. Rock hard baseball bat colas.
This Grow: Cinderella99 Fem I got directly from the man (Rick Himself pic included). Let's just say Rick is one of the nicest breeders I have interacted with online period. That's got to be hard these days.
Wheels up and climbing to cruise altitude. Trays with rolling papers out soon. Decided to try Biobizz on this run instead of AN Coco Sensi for various reasons. IVe had my eye on bio for awhile now but didn’t realize till I ordered it that its a one part grow bottles i guess. Grow for veg and bloom for flowering but im seeing some using both around flowering also so i need to work that out. I also went ahead and bought Bottom planter stand. I know the way my girls are sitting precariously on that bucket in never recommended.
It’s been a rough week this early in the game and flopping on what nutrients I’m going to run hearing about biobizz is not reacting well with pH down
Problem is everybody’s telling me to pour my mix in these early girls with a pH at 7.0 because that’s what it is at the end of mixing fish mix up with no ph down. Everybody says absolutely no pH down with organics even though I used too run canna which is organics and used pH down all the time and noone on the net says dont use ph down like they do with biobizz. Who knows maybe that was my problem sometimes but it definitely got me through many grows
Now I’m waiting for some pH down if I’m going to continue us now I’m waiting for some earth juice natual pH down if I’m going to continue using biobizz.
Everything going Great will be topping this week. I am still having a hard time deciding on if I should run Cana A and B or biobizz lineup fish mix. Canna is 2 part A is 4-0-1 and B is 1-4-2. Biobizz Fishmix is 1 part (through veg)) 4-0-3. Found a great website for coco specific growers called Cocoforcannabis. There is a lot of great information there I have passed that website off to some veteran growers that gave me props
Running Tap starting PPM is 130
Soup mix Currently:
Add a bit more of calmag to bring it to 200.
Canna A and B at about 5ml/gal
AN Voodoo Juice
PH natural down earth juice to 6.4 ish
Grower Notes:
“ I like to learn the hard way “
Going from Hempy buckets to fabric grow bags has been awesome and great but changing nutrients and not zeroing in on exactly what a grower wants to use can complicate things. I topped a few days ago and then did some trimming up and was concerned I went to far for their age. I need to brush up on my Grower shoot/node manipulation and knowledge
Good week. Topped and did some LST. I definitely see Rick’s Genetics looking nicely. Much easier then Bottom fed coco Hempys with Hydrton rock and air stones. See some calmag issues on old leaves but always remembering look at the new growth. Changing from hempy to this is cake but when you add learning and deciding a new nutrient line (in mid-grow) plus I always ran RO water only, NOW im also running tap water at 130ppms starting.
Combining all three new Changes at the same time was/is unwise. But i have never lost a main plant yet after 10 runs and 50 plants. I am a patient. I have Ankylosing Spodylitis. Thanks to the guidelines they have cut me off on all oral pain medication. This is the only thing i got left. They (Doctors) are pressing me on that too. They’ll have to pry my pH pen out of my cold dead hands. I will be calling Scotty and the dude soon for a report.
Need to come up with a better feeding system. 4 plants isnt exactly enough for drip irrigation. Water halo/ring sounds interesting but if anyone knows what might fit better let me know. I been using a diy water wand.
Using canna coco a and b at 9ml per gal.
Also trying bigbud coco for the first time. Stopped calmag because bigbud coco supposed to help eliminate it. Had it laying around.
Did a good defo this week and they could look better but not bad. I still have a ways to go considering I flipped on March 12th. Big bud coco is interesting because it’s milky white so there’s no chance of detecting if your mix is bad.
Day 35 on the 12. Started Overdrive and biobizz grow and bloom cause i think i have 10 ish days till i start the flush.
Everything is looking fantastic so far though.
Day 45 on 12 and I’m pretty sure I should start flushing any day. Probably in the next couple days to give me a good week atleast. Trichs look cloudy. Early tasting Pics you see were cut a few days back. Rick said start looking after 50 days.
Been flushing for one week. Not sure how much longer I am I am going to flush but I will post in a week with harvest pics. Kind of odd because I added one soup mix of florakleen and I noticed almost right away some colas were drooping. Luckily I don’t think it’s anything that’s going to matter now they are looking fantastic.
A few days ago I put the girls into 48 hour darkness and then found out my air-conditioner broke down thank God the weather got cool for a few days until it’s fixed. The issue is my temperature being that warm unfortunately for me is normal. I wish I could get it lower because most seem to recommend around 65. My grow situation makes it hard to drop much lower.
Pictures and harvest report will come around jar time. Speaking of which, ball mason jar‘s has new Amber/opeque color glass jars for low light penetration. I bought some 64 Fl. Oz. Bottles.
All in all so far the samples I have tasted from Cinderella have been absolute fire.
Overall it was my best run ever in the yield and flavor department. The most frost and trim I’ve ever had stable grow medium going from Hempy bottom Fed to these fab bags and getting a hold of genetics directly from the brothers Grimm Rick sent me I hit it out of the park (not that I have ever failed) hardly any larf at all. With good lights good nutrients number one is genetics added with third week of flowering defoliation, I had a great run. Ran the numbers and its coming back as dry weight is about 19 oz. for 4 plants. 90% all hard nugs 10% larf.
Ty. Yeah I just talk to Rick from Brothers Grimm and I asked him if he defoliated in flowering and he said yes at third week as I sometimes have around that time as well. In fact my third grow was my best ever with green crack and I’m convinced it was because I defoliated topped and pruned correctly. With these quantum board lights that can be important because when photosynthesis hits more of the colas I had about 21 baseball bat size colas from defo in flowering before. So Right now I’m at about the third week mark in flowering so I’m trying to get good like penetration so i get less larf. Right now I’m at about the third week mark in flowering so I’m trying to get good light penetration.
@PlantParentHood, I am doing my very first, correctly planned, bud-based defoliation on my Minty Kush grow right now. I'm so excited! Keep developing 💪
Turning out really nice! Lamp you assembled has a serious punch! 👍🏻👊🏻 How did you like the Biobizz?
Seen your comment for week 3, Usually you don’t need to ph with organics, the water should be declorinated though, soil bio caries the nutes for you and auto regulates it, is best to start with a soil that has some kind of organic correction as opposed to inert. If you definitely need to ph down an organic way is Lime. Just something to think about...
Cheers happy growing, good luck!!!
@PlantParentHood, Thanks for the incite! Will give biobizz a go, since I’m preparing and organic super soil it will pair nicely. Recharge is so convenient and easy to use, adds a lot... I find RO more complex to use than regular tap water, i cant PH RO with the ph pens I have around unless is nutrient rich, a good balance maybe just declorinated filtered water, at least 20% of it helps on the RO ph stability.
Girls look amazing, enjoy!!! Happy growing!
@CANNASIM, I liked Biobizz a lot I had fish mix and the grow and bloom. Didn’t use it the whole way through but I like it a lot I think it just took some time to get used to the way it works. Plus going from RO to tap (160 ppm) changed the way nutrients interact with the water on ph. I did buy some earth juice natural down citric crystals which I have to admit I dont need to use often but I really like it and wish I would’ve found sooner. I do run recharge for my microbial in the coco also. I will definitely say this was my easiest run ( maybe my last for a while I don’t know yet) and without a doubt really basically no leaf or pH problems which is a first. I always had something going on because my hempy system before was quite unique and complicated. I look back on it and I’m amazed I made it through every run successfully especially considering my first was DWC. Thx for the help and advice.
@PlantParentHood, With that being said your doing a DAMN good job !!! And I thought the same thing this would be easy , since I actually starting growing by accident and decided I would give it a go, then tried it the correct way with a White LSD auto , and boy did I have hell. Lol. Like you said it just forces you to get it right and quickly at that.
@Mr_Weeds_Autos, thx bro. Not bad I guess for a guy who can’t turn his neck ever again since the age of 17. Nobody told me how much hard work this was going to be but it forced me to utilize and become efficient quickly. My first grow was DWC and it literally ran me in the ground especially when I broke my toe but I harvested and had great success
@PlantParentHood, I've been using AN Sensi for a year now, with excellent results in Pro-Mix HP. I've found when using less than 1/2 strength A&B that the PH doesn't drop close enough to my 6.2 mark I prefer. Friend of mine uses the AN Sensi CoCo and believes it is good.
@Hellhazard,ty. Makes sence and i do cause im kinda a detail 110% kind of guy so ive always got good ph checking and backups on backups. Try and never cross contaminate samples (water rinsing oral syringes) in between checks. I didnt get this ph perfect brand cause i fear or have issues other then my bottom fed hempy coco system needed a change and im still searching for the right Coco nutrients. I didnt feel canna a and b was sufficient after 5th week of flowering and to this day I’m not sure if it was because my system was so close to a DWC or that it basically made My Canna unbalanced. Not sure but ya I always check pH and everything including weekly calibration. So far everybody has given me great advice thank you
Hey awesome set up... but I see you have a humidifier right below AC outlets. I would change the position if I were you as that is a fire hazard. Just looking out for you fellow grower!
@MaryJaneUSA,Funny you say that because I was wondering the same thing I was thinking about googling it as I have never had to contemplate that particular situation before I didn’t think it would be an issue but you’re probably correct thank you very much
you can mix ph down with anything lol, dont listen to anyone except yourself, so much nonsense in this space. anyway you can just squeeze a bit of lemon juice to your feed, that should pH down for you.
Pretty sure you can pH decrease anything you want without a problem to nutes… lol. If your growing organically you don't want your H2O to be to acidic or it will kill the microbes and block the intake of nutes. A pH between 6.2 and 7.0 is fine. Your organic medium will usually buffer any pH of H2O to an acceptable range for your plants as long as your medium is healthy. I use RO water that pHs to about 6.8 lately so I don't add any decrease to it for the organics. I pH decrease to 5.8 for the hydro grow I'm running too. Happy gardening and Peace
Nice set up... love the Monstah! My first 2 grows are in coco and fabric bags and I just started a couple hempy buckets to give hydro a try. Happy growing and PEACE!
@PlantParentHood, i didnt check the label i like my kelp extract without extras that's why i said. it's an additive though , at least i hope so. main idea : check your micro 🚀
