Day 21 veg : The Gorillas have been active and very responsive this week. There has been a lot of activity with the quadlining and removal of infected other plants ( spidermite) There is a marked difference now between them which should lead to some interesting colours come flowering time. Seeing how chubby some of the leaves are on one of them gives a good inication of the buds she will hold too.
The last week i have kept them on a ppm of 600 but have increased it today with 3ml coco feed per litre. Ppm is now 900 whichbshould be good for the stage they are at. I think a couple more weeks at most in veg will have them perfect to flip. The quads are moving along nicely and only had a few minor splits to tape up. They have taken the strip put of lower nodes and topping in their strides and one of them has 3 branches coming from the 3rd node too. She will be a penatagram not quad.lol
They are all a beautiful colour and healthy feeling. They are getting a 2L soak every 3 days now and i water to Approx 10% as it is a short period between drenches so shouldn't create any build up issues
I am looking forward to this weeks growth period as they should fill the pots out nicely and thicken up those gorillas arm branches this strain is capable of. I have about 1.5m of safe vertical before height becomes a real issue and there is plenty of light , air and space to get these rainbow apes to their full potential. Until next week. peace and blessings.
@Silky_smooth, why thankyou ma'am. lol am so close to the end now. Gd needs a more regular option for updates. so much can change in a week. They are glistening now and trichs are starting to cloud. only got 6 days left so should be bang on time of 56-63 days. rock solid buds too. Always a pleasure Silky
@Ganjagrandaddy,yeah i dont mean no Harm but the gorilla glue #4 by anesia seeds they come pretty close to the original one and she is a strong one she only in very late flower(quad-main-or flux set up) needs Some support because when you train your branches automaticly are stronger to support the weight by themselfs
Since i train i almost never have to use support except for the last one(it was a behind the sences grow) future #1 by anesia seeds that really rocked my world 2 weeks of veg and she gave me close to 190gram of dryed herb under a 120w quantumboard i had 3 trained and 1 untrained under it and pulled 386 grams of herb out of it so more then worth it😱😱🙏🙏
@Silky_smooth,Why thank you madam. lol. very nice comment much appreciated Silky. I love the original Gorilla Glue which we only saw occasionally here in the uk. Had to try this Barneys version . They are great to grow if not a bit floppy with their thin secondaries. i hoped the quadlines would encourage them to support themselves better than "au natural" seems to. See so many gorilla varieties with similar issues of looking like "marionette" Cannabis shows.lol Will
e ruining their look with supports soon.lol
Always a pleasure Smooth
@Silky_smooth, Thank you. I am happy with the results they have shown from pushing them for longer. The ripeness of them compared to any of the past 5 years grows is obvious. i usually scope them for.amber trichs then harvest but decided different this time and it paid off i think. The 2 i harvested already are very nice to smoke so i expect these will be headbangers with more time to amber the inner bud too.
I am very happy to see the way you record and describe your videos. Moreover, you grow the same strain as mine and you are in advance of a couple of weeks, which is really helpful as it is my first grow. Thank you for sharing these pics and videos of your flowers, they are very nice and beautiful. Congrats
@Hasard,Wow thank you buddy. very nice of you to say.
I will come and join the fun too. Do love this strain to grow now and will be coming back to it again in the future. You may need to consider support canes before you actually need to do them. The buds get very dense and heavy towards the end and will fall over at some point. to avoid damage to the stems i would support them earlier next time.
It does seem to depend in which Phenotype of the strain you get as well. i seem to have 2 different ones at opposite ends of the scale.lol
good luck. will see you at your journal.
@GrowDutch, i am hoping to get a personal best. The no1 is a beasty and has been from seed stage. hoping they wont do the flop when they get heavier. dont like yo-yo's much.lol fingers crossed. thanks for the comments mate
@Cultus, welcome aboard mate. Have a feeling this could be my best harvest to date with how well the quadlines have all formed. Once those colas start building , should hold some nice weight. cannot wait to finish the stretch now though , need to defol again badly .lol. Update tomorrow yeeha. Thanks for the company mate. started seeing tumbleweed building up. lol
