Well aren't these doing just fine, they already put out fan fan leaves, took off just a few on each that were covering potential flower nodes, hope i didn't f-up and pluck a future cola or something. these were showing early signs of deficiency last week so i added some bactrex orgatrex and boom boom spray according to the label, it's so easy ! Just jostling with god + the weather now it's a scortcher ! how are you keeping the temps down? how many times are we gonna have to give each other tips this NH summer? Smart proteins incoming just in time for flower probably after next week ! ๐
@Philindicus, well, we do know what is in our fertilisers : it's mostly refuse from water treatment plants, the liquid ferts are just the dry mass diluted (i'm simplifying here) ... but overall you could say you're re-using distilled refuse water - i wouldnt drink it ๐
@CRiSPrGrow, Curious about this Smart Protein is this a product that one can buy or is this one of your own recipes? I see you've been tweaking your own formulas for a while. Thinking I might have to start doing something too. Who knows whats really in these nute formulas in terms of quality and quantity most companies seem to act like they have some top secret formulas.
@AstroBoy, i agree, they work great aswell, got the info from SBG above, but man, they are HEAVY, i have six only using 2 BECAUSE MY CEILING CANT HANDLE THE WEIGHT ! fffffffff....
@Silverback_Guerilla, so far so good ! these probably dont have two weeks in them ๐ it's always like that, i have all this stuff on hand i just dont use it that much time kinda flies by
@CRiSPrGrow, lifting the pots is more for new growers with just a few plants. When you start to grow big scale, where some plants can't be reached, it's all about the leaves and you . Keeping an eye on your leaves is the easiest way to see if something is going wrong with a plant . After a while you get used to the "first symptoms" and can diagnose a problem before it gets too late ! ๐
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, ah thanks for this info man, i'm not surprised at how wrong i was , great tips will be a bit careful on the overwatering... damn man, it's a lot of work lifting these bitches three times a night
@CRiSPrGrow, At some point I will give coco a try when I'm done with my nutes. Roots organic original is mostly coco and perlite so I'm practically there. I'm pretty happy with the quality of my buds right now. I am tweaking my setup soon and would like to work on increasing the size and weight without losing the quality of the buds. Coco may do that for me we will see. The things we will do in search of the ever elusive perfect grow.
@Philindicus, i wouldnt break my balls travelling 100s of miles for peat moss bro (that's all light mix is) especially since peat moss is unsustainable and you get better results with coco for like 3 dollars a grow... my humble opinion is all!
@CRiSPrGrow,
Really?? Gonna go back to fighting the heat?? Wow.
You did end up with a few skinny colas, but dude..you prolly had to kill a dozen of them more than 2 weeks too early...and, if you hadn't had to kill them early, the fact that you are dosing every plant with 2.0+ uMols from edge to edge means that even with slightly smaller colas, pretty sure your yield would have been greater than 1800w of HID at 2-3 feet above the canopy.
You could also supplement with CO2 and lower your LED lights to within 30cm (2.7 uMol) and see massive gains in both density and size...and not have to deal with the HEAT๐น
As you know, with even just a little airflow, the surface temperature of the bars is minimal..prolly get the flowers safely within 15cm if supplementing CO2.
I typically supplement with a lot of blue light in early veg so as to cause shorter, more branchy plants because I don't like to have to raise my lights to the ceiling (of the tent), but I'm betting your nutrient regimen and combination of distance and dim-factor of the lights caused the shorter branching plants. I like it that way because some varieties really stretch in flower and it's best to keep them shorter in the beginning...at least until I can grow in a room with 15' cathedral ceilings and shutterable skylights on both sides.๐
@LawAbidingCitizen420, it's not just about LUX it's also about PAR and average spectrum , believe me you dont have the time @silverback_guerilla sent me a link to a cool and really good value pro light from china which does look great. i'm going back to HID though, cant really get the biomass you need with a pure LED set up. go with three 600W two with sodium one with metal halide and dont forget a dimmable balast and a huge ass fan !
Brah, I tripped out when I zoomed in on your profile pic.. Thought you had hair bud & possible Morgan Freeman in the mix
Random comment but yeah, think about it.
@CRiSPrGrow, have a geez at what I ended up with on the hydro grow. You helped me out once on my diary. Cheers coz even without drying this baby n smoking leaf. Well.. cloud nine
