There has been a lot of really big changes this week all around the board. I found they were drinking way to slowly and especially when feeding nutrients so I cut back the nutrients to around half what I was using and I also reduced the amount of water and the ph from 6.2 down to 5.8 I was giving so that I am feeding every 24-48 hrs they were taking 3 plus days at times. Partly to do with environment I noticed I been sitting between 72-75 during the day but nights dropping as low as 60 plants look cold in the morning and take awhile to perk up.
I got a new 2 chamber tent and am now currently housing them in the smaller side of the tent much easier to control environment but still getting a little cold at night.
Since making these changes the plants have made a very noticeable turn for the better growth has sped up a lot feeding is more regular and they generally seem very happy the smell has increased big time and when rubbing the stems gives a smell of juicy fruit and bubble gum combined very unique fresh scent the mother gave of a nice juicy fruit smell when touching the buds near the end of flowering.
These girls are going to grow another week or two so I can get decent clones then I will put them in the larger chamber with the mars hydro pro ll flowering lights.
All plants still growing equal with the one still showing different leaf structure and and more of the mother’s traits.
coco is a forgiving medium mate. make an error and it can be instantly flushed away if needs be. I love it as a quick grow throw together too. As long as you keep the ph around 5.8 going in all will be good. It leeches calmag from the plant and nutes so have some handy as your going to hit the most needy bit next. The gnats area pain in the ass but if you cover the surface with decent sand , the larvae get stuck and the adults cant get down to lay eggs. you can also try a 20%milk/80 water in a spray bottle to wet the coco surface and mist the plant with it too. it wont smell or do any damage at all but will kill any soft bodied insects as they breath through a membrane on their backs often and suffocate from the milk deposit. It will go straight through the coco too so no horrible stinky residue
@Ganjagrandaddy, thanks for the advice, yea I’m liking the coco compared to soil I just got the watering down I was still watering like soil up to a few weeks ago. Just waiting on some mesh pots coming today I’m going to try with my clones either way much better with coco.
Yes I been feeding CaMg+ which is organic base for soil but the bottle is almost done I feed usually 4ml per gallon throughout the grow. And will get some CalImagic once this bottle is done.
Adult Gnats I got under control they can’t fly far either to the floor to get squished or on the sticky pads it’s the young ones. I’m going to try the milk idea I recently used 9 parts water to 1 part alcohol and it literally destroyed spider mite population was only a few stragglers left and on another plus side it didn’t kill all my pistils on my flowering plant like insecticidal soap that killed barely any mites just pistils lol. So I totally believe and will try the milk lol thank you.
@Grnhead, thanks bud it’s a fun process found out some cool things along the way. So weird best weed I’ve ever smoked was on vacation in Jamaica called Columbian Gold (some really Skunk bud) and it turns out was one of the parent plants to Skunk No1 small world no wonder I like this particular skunk so much. Can’t wait to see what the lemon adds to it was a smelly one to
