Flowering Week 7:
Pretty good week for weight not much visual change they are just getting phatter and the buds are starting to look golden. There is new growth on some of the buds especially in the main cola some new nice white pistils shot out. The smell is under control when the tent is closed just a mild little bit leaking through the recent reversed carbon filter. When opening the tent is another story this girl is seriously resembling a skunk roadkill almonds foul to the nose. The juicy fruit scent is fading but it has a smell of mint lemons and almost a purple bubble gum scent it’s very nice and extremely extremely sticky.
From switching to the late bloom nutrients I noticed the very finest white tips like pinhead size for first time on leaf tips I decided to just keep nutrients the same all week and she adjusted herself nicely and has nothing more than the pinhead white tips. I still have not removed any leaves I have only removed 10-11 her whole life and she hasn’t lost a single leaf to age disease or damage very healthy her whole life so far. I have been tucking leaves under branches and have tied a few together with plant tie to allow more light.
The inner main stalk seems to still be producing bud and they are all keep able size nugs which will sure improve they yield. The lowest buds on the plant are swelling nicely and are getting way bigger than mid plant buds, the cola is massive the width of my hand and as long as my forearm very nice.
Plant would do amazing with right lst and defoliation her first clone is looking beautiful and ready for flowering in a couple days.
Nutrient:
100% nutrient feedings per 24hrs 15-20% runoff at ph 6.15
Per gallon
Ghe florabloom 7ml
Ghe floramicro 4ml
Ghe CaMg+ 4ml
Ghe floragro 0ml
coco is a forgiving medium mate. make an error and it can be instantly flushed away if needs be. I love it as a quick grow throw together too. As long as you keep the ph around 5.8 going in all will be good. It leeches calmag from the plant and nutes so have some handy as your going to hit the most needy bit next. The gnats area pain in the ass but if you cover the surface with decent sand , the larvae get stuck and the adults cant get down to lay eggs. you can also try a 20%milk/80 water in a spray bottle to wet the coco surface and mist the plant with it too. it wont smell or do any damage at all but will kill any soft bodied insects as they breath through a membrane on their backs often and suffocate from the milk deposit. It will go straight through the coco too so no horrible stinky residue
@Ganjagrandaddy, thanks for the advice, yea I’m liking the coco compared to soil I just got the watering down I was still watering like soil up to a few weeks ago. Just waiting on some mesh pots coming today I’m going to try with my clones either way much better with coco.
Yes I been feeding CaMg+ which is organic base for soil but the bottle is almost done I feed usually 4ml per gallon throughout the grow. And will get some CalImagic once this bottle is done.
Adult Gnats I got under control they can’t fly far either to the floor to get squished or on the sticky pads it’s the young ones. I’m going to try the milk idea I recently used 9 parts water to 1 part alcohol and it literally destroyed spider mite population was only a few stragglers left and on another plus side it didn’t kill all my pistils on my flowering plant like insecticidal soap that killed barely any mites just pistils lol. So I totally believe and will try the milk lol thank you.
@Grnhead, thanks bud it’s a fun process found out some cool things along the way. So weird best weed I’ve ever smoked was on vacation in Jamaica called Columbian Gold (some really Skunk bud) and it turns out was one of the parent plants to Skunk No1 small world no wonder I like this particular skunk so much. Can’t wait to see what the lemon adds to it was a smelly one to
