Week 1, concluding the first week of vegetating (germinating):
Hi(gh) guys!
New project, this time 3 seeds of Spliff’s Gold Bar Kush. Gold Bar is a strain that’s got a strong tangerine smell, originating from the Orange Bud strain and crossed by Spliff with their Medi Kush.
For this round I’ll take the grow techniques to the max, trying to grow 3 big plants out of them filing the entire space. Therefore I have 18 liter fabric pots, and I’ll try to grow with the at this point well tested V-8 topping plan. Only this time I’ll try and guide all 8 branches horizontal, and let all of the offshoots from each branch fill up the space. I hope this way to learn how fast it’s possible to grow big plants filling the space.
This round I’ll continue using Green Buzz Liquids nutrient program, and their new Green Buzz Growzyme brown algae extract during the entire cycle. I was warned to expect big trees when adding the extract during the cycle, so I hope to end up with beautiful big plants.
The first three weeks they will stay inside a 0,5 liter pot, after that they will be transplanted inside the 18 liter fabric pots. Otherwise the water would sink away immediately, and this way they can form a nice rootball during this time. In the pictures there is an extra pot, and an extra seed, but that was another strain but it failed to sprout. But the Spliff’s seeds all sprouted, and I’ll continue with just three pots.
This round I’d make another growing plan of which you can see the front page in the pictures. All the info around germinating the seeds is there. From these three plants I’ll pick the best pheno and try to make seeds out of one branch using colloidal silverwater to force male pollen, and pollinate another branch with it. I’ll start with this at the end of week six of vegetating. Pollinating another branch at the end of the fourth week of flowering, that should deliver some seeds at the end of the cycle.
I’m looking forward to see you back and check on the Gold Bar’s progress next week!
Grtz, Budcrack ;-)
I don't know the solution, but even though the pic is fuzzy, I can see an eye and some legs, that is definitely a thrip. If you Google Image that, you'll see right away that's what it is.
Hi Bud, 20 weeks of grow=? omg... iam not that patient.
Girl looks wonderful, and the thripse are under control... sounds grat looks great. Happy flush
@Mrs_Larimar, hi, yeah well i'm hoping to reach a certain level of quality, and my Gen. I Led-lights don't eactly hurry things up, so it takes longer to reach that point. That would be my best exp, only also realizing the longer a grow takes, the bigger the chance to pic up some pest! Thanks, nice to hear 👊
Hello friend. How are you? I haven't written to you in a long time. Do you still smoke the buds from the last harvest?😜
I'm running out of staff. 😩
I've started a new cycle, check it out!👊
