Week 10, concluding the tenth week of vegetating:
Hi(gh) guys!
It was a great week for the Gold Bar’s, and they are really becoming big. And since Sunday also switched 12/12, so there is a lot of growth yet to come. I’m going to try and manage it by defoliating at the right time to stop stretching. Plant A and B both have the bottom set of branches sleeved for making male pollen, and last week sprayed silver water every other day. The sleeves were sagging to much causing the topside to rest on the leaves, so I’d cut 2cm wide circles from a large soda bottle and fitted them with some plant-tie, and placed on top of the branches they prevent that. As seen on the picture, I always like simple solutions with materials everyone has available. Anyway, problem solved!
Last Sunday I’d give plant A and B a do-over, since the sticks where getting to short and the offshoots to high. It’s anyway a good idea to move the plant-tie often, so it won’t cut into the branches, cutting of the sap stream inside. Logically the top set of branches, receiving the most light did grow the biggest, but I was happy to see that the offshoots from the lower set of branches actually reaching the top of the canopy now. And since I’d guided all the top offshoots to the sides, now the plants are becoming very big and bushy, very nice just wait and see. Plant C is a different story since the internode spacing is so small, there was barely space to place a sleeve on the lowest branches. Only it has so much grow power that even the ends of the lowest branches are starting to catch up with the canopy. On the pictures I took I have just tied down the ends causing it to look stretchy horizontal, but if you’ll look at the picture from the next day inside the tent, there plant C is in front already pointing upwards again.
I’m looking forward to see you back and check on the Gold Bar’s progress next week!
Grtz, Budcrack ;-)
I don't know the solution, but even though the pic is fuzzy, I can see an eye and some legs, that is definitely a thrip. If you Google Image that, you'll see right away that's what it is.
Hi Bud, 20 weeks of grow=? omg... iam not that patient.
Girl looks wonderful, and the thripse are under control... sounds grat looks great. Happy flush
@Mrs_Larimar, hi, yeah well i'm hoping to reach a certain level of quality, and my Gen. I Led-lights don't eactly hurry things up, so it takes longer to reach that point. That would be my best exp, only also realizing the longer a grow takes, the bigger the chance to pic up some pest! Thanks, nice to hear 👊
Hello friend. How are you? I haven't written to you in a long time. Do you still smoke the buds from the last harvest?😜
I'm running out of staff. 😩
I've started a new cycle, check it out!👊
