This is my 2nd attempt at a smoothie, my 1st attempt lasted 19 days before the mega accident. Fan fell on it and when I pulled the fan off the plant was finished. Was a shame really as it was doing really well. On this attempt I have added another oxypot connect to the plants oxypot and this sits out of the tent. This way I have double the water and the pot out the tent will be cooler. I have a water pump in the outside pot that runs into the top of the plants pot, this creates a water fall effect, then at the bottom of the plants pot I have a return pipe to the cooler pot.The water pump comes on for 15mins every hour. Both pots have air stones on 24hrs.
Seed took 3 days to show. 24hrs after it showed I put it into the dwc.
By end of the week she was looking good, about the same as the previous attempt.
She has been doing well this week. I have trimmed a few roots in the week. Temps been spot on but humidity is on low side. Topped her on day 13 was a bit heavy handed. Started running nutes on day 9 with a fresh res. Res temps have been good. I'll see next week how she reacts to the new light.
Should have changed my res at start of week as the nutes where imbalanced. Have changed the res as of day 21. Humidity is to low and I messed up with feeding and by the looks of it my topping was a mess. I have 1 node that is normal but i must have fimmed the other node when i topped her.
Going to keep a better eye on her and see if I can increase the humidity. Because I have been trimming the roots slightly I have a bushy root zone instead of a long thin one. Probably stop root pruning now.
Also have turned power down on the light to 75% as it's a bit overkill on the plant at the moment. (Somehow lost weeks 3 pics when doing week 4s, so have put some from my recycle bin).
Had to increase nutes and add calmag to the mix this week. She likes the calmag. Not trimmed any roots this week just concentrated on training and maintaining Ph. Getting a nice slow rise in Ph from 5.5 to 6.5 over a few days with res lowering and Ec staying fairly stable. Pleased with progress this week despite a few issues.
She done great this week, removed leaves that had calcium deficiency. She is starting to stretch quite a bit and drinking about 1.5L a day. Plant is eating and Ph is fairly stable. Overall cant complain.
The week has gone well, still had a few deficiency problems. Removed 100 leaves and quite a few smaller nodes that wont amount to much. Been quite steady on Ec and Ph. Day 41 I put florakleen in so i could change onto bloom nutes on day 42.
She plodding along nicely. Still getting calmag problems. Considering doubling dose of calmag. She drank about 13.5L maintaining a Ec 1.5/1.6
Have had a few massive defoliation this week, got rid of flower sites that probably wont amount to much. About 200 leaves over the week and 60 flowers. She has still managed to fill my space. Things are looking good.
She has come along nicely. Still showing calcium deficiency, she drinking 2L a day taking on the amount of nutes in the res. Removed loads again from the plant this week to get as much space as possible. Put on my scrog net as well to spread her out a bit. Day 55 added 2ml/L florakleen 24hr before res change. Then dumped that on day 56 and ran a res of 1.5ml/L of just florakleen for 6 hrs before doing my fresh res.
Pushed Ec up to 1.6 and now lowering it again. I have been measuring the lux given from my light. It was at 90000 because I cant get my light any higher so turned down the light so my top buds are getting about 60000. I used a lux app on android to check with my phone. This could explain why I have had bad looking leaves showing different deficiencies. The light is more powerful then I gave it credit for. I think she got about 3 to 4 weeks left till harvest. She has completely filled my 60*60 tent.
She has finished stretching now. Starting to put more effort into the buds now I hope. Had a massive drop in Ph after my res change at beggining of the week so have lowered the Ec a little and that seemed to sort it out. I would say another week or 2 then start ripen and harvest. So hopefully around week 13 she will be done. Still not sure if the bad looking leaves are cal mag problems or light being to bright, I have turned the lights power down a bit.
She still doing her thing. Considering running current nutes for another 5 days then switching to GHE Ripen and get this girl finished. Had to turn light down to about 50% as it seems to be burning the tops and I have no more height to play with.
She nearly done. Day 83 I changed onto Ghe ripen. So going to be about 2 weeks left before harvest. Smell is amazing. Apart from her looking unhealthy I'm quite pleased with her.
She been on just ripen this week. Day 88 I changed from 3ml/L to 2ml/L.
My plan for next week is continue with ripen for 2 days then I will have had it using that for 10 days total. Then going res change onto just florakleen for 2 days. Then res change onto just water for 2 days. The last 2 days I'm going to leave the lights off. So hopefully she will be chopped on day 98.
This was her final week. I ran her on florakleen for 48hrs and then water for 48hrs. So far I'm pleased with what I see and smell. I wish I had cut the lower green leaves before I hung her up as they are becoming a nightmare to trim off now. Reason I left them on was to slow down the drying a bit as mine usually bone dry in 3 days. 24hrs after I chopped her the weight dropped from 1.8Kg to 1.2Kg. Will update a harvest week once I get it dry and I can have a sample.
I was a bit late realizing she was hungry for cal mag. Had trouble keeping her looking healthy. Given this a top score as she gives good quality product.
Day 105, end week 15.
So smoothie auto is a good candidate to be topped. LST works wonders on her. From seed to harvest in 97 days is good for me especially when you get bud like this. She produced loads of decent flowers. I actually got 170g of buds and 11.5 gram hash and 1g scissor hash. Not smoked any hash yet but have had 1g of bud. She is a smooth smoke and i can taste mango with a hint of blueberry, I would imagine the longer the cure the better the taste.
I am super happy with the outcome. Real top smoke and it's only been cured for a few days.
Yield was also impressive.

@HolySmoke, I would say so far growth seems normal. I have prob only trimmed about a inch of each root so far, some roots may have been trimmed about 3 times. I would imagine that if its damaging the plant I'll b able tell in a few more days. Once the plant transitions into flower I wont touch the roots.
@Smowkabowl, thanks, I pray it's going be a big harvest as my last lot didn't last this ones grow time. Had to buy some weed which was overpriced shite. 1st time for years I had to buy some and it just made me remember why I started growing in the 1st place.👍
Looks like it's doing really well in its first few days - I'm currently doing a Fastbuds Zkittlez and I have super cropped it. It's taken very well too it and is showing no signs of stress. Check out my diaries if you get a chance! Happy growing
Wow, you did INFINITELY better than I have on my second run of this plant, using the same light as you - was a sponsored grow - just delayed by like a year!
I stupidly put my res inside the tent forgetting I’m no longer in a large grow space!! So I basically wasted half my space. Oh well, we live and learn don’t we! Next time the res will be on the handy shelf above where I keep my shrooms and weed, so they will have to find another place to live! It is a bit mental doing an AutoPot grow for one plant in a roughly 3x3 space but I go away for a night here and there and I also knew that I wouldn’t be able to maintain darkness and would get light leaks because the intake is sort of forced to be put at the front of the tent, just rested in the zip. Therefore autos were a must as photos would have hermed but also I have a load of auto seeds around and they are quick(ish - less so when your under 150w rather than 600! Haha) but she seems to be fattening up a little now, iv just had to do another week of PK boost ratio of my nutrition.
@Hashy,yeah, I grew it before to solely turn into rosin so I know how nice it is - I’m just untrusting of a 150w light having come from 600! It’s cool, next time I’m moving my res OUTSIDE the tent in order to maximise space -something I’m not used to! I’m tempted to go with purple lemonade because that plant is almost always bright purple and it has such a unique terp profile!
@Rabidreject, that was a dwc grow, absolutely great strain to grow as well. I have just done some photoperiod plants for 1st time in a long time, yeah had a few light leaks that caused some hermie which I never got with autos. When you harvest yours you will like the taste, very tasteful smoke.
