Song of my the week : Example - All night ———- Day 7 - 13.04 First week is now gone and I’ve done nothing else than feeding with a 5.8ph and 1ec mix of GHE MaxiBloom They both sprouted in 48h , I mean the cotyledeons aka the round leaves were visible after 48h. Since they are in a solo cup of coco that I am watering when needed ( dry coco is the signal , not too dry neither )

They are both ready to be transferred in the final 7L pots and I’ll also push the feeding from 1 to 1.2 Ec then I will gradually raise it to 1.8 Ec which is my average feeding value. They are both growing the same way , I mean they are so similar in the shape that they are almost like clones , except maybe for the green color as we can already observe that there is one lighter than her sista. They will probably stay inside of the veg box for the 3 next weeks , with the light at the proper height the plants will remains short and bushy like the 3rd one on the pictures which is btw almost ready for harvest . ———- Thursday They are now in 7L pot and I have feed with a 1.7ec mix of Greenhouse hybrids powder and Calcium They have stretched because I have put the light higher because they are sharing space with taller plants but I've topped these plants so I was abble to put the light lower so I hope that it will limit the stretch . Fortunatly the grapfruit can remain short when the light if efficient and not too high so I hope they'll both be like that. You can see the oldest one that will be ready soon , she's get feed with a mix with more pk than the others and as you can see she is starting to loose colours ( also due to serval under watering ) , it's time to hurry as she have a spider mites invasion and I would like to harvest before it's too late . I also know that a plant with spider mites is tending to be generous and to give some of her spiders to her sisters

Monday Feeding with Greenhouse Hybrid powder + calcium , ph 5.8 & Ec 1.7 . I will use a lower ec level for the next feedings , something around 1.5 until I can see a sign of pre flowering / stretch then I'll give 1.8ec and try to finish the grow around 2.0ec. Stretched a bit more since last week , I've adjusted the light at 40 cm of the tops , it's suposed to be enough with a 150w QB but I could be wrong. By the way it's a generic QB that can be found on any Ali ( aliexpress or alibaba ) , if the 150w version in harder to find it's because the standard is 120w , at least the generic QBs Standard. PS : If you can see the metalic structure of the box on the right corner you can see how nefast can a high humidity level be. My box must be a year and a half old ————— Thursday The leaves are growing big , nothing much to say except that I’m about to top one of them and let the other grow to see the difference , the main stems are already hard so not flexible enough to be bent ————— Saturday I've been feeding them yesterday , same dosage as monday. I feel like both of them are growing quickly , the main stems are now solid and they will not take long to push secondaries ! I've put pictures of anther GF almost ready to harvest because it's good to have an idea of how they could be later and also to show you the 2 auto clones taken from her. The clones has been taken at the begening of the flowering while the bud were sarting to form , they rooted quite quickly . One did continue to flower just after a short reveg from a week and did stay short while the other one re-veg completly and did pushed a lot of secondaries , she is just starting to push some more pistils after a 2x stretch

@Spinnnn Hi mate the only time I managed to clone autos it was for sex reversal but from research they yield pretty much nothing because they retain the age at which they were cloned and will go to flower as soon as the mother plant you cloned from does thus resulting in tiny little plants trying to flower.

Monday It’s beginning of week 4 and they are doing pretty well. The main stems are hard and strong and it’s impossible to bend them at that point. I am practicing a very light hand LST everyday like I am showing in the video. Tuesday Watering for both of them , you can follow the (simple) process in the videos. The plants are doing great except for a little issue on one of them that I will show you tomorrow. Topping or not ? May be beneficial so I’m about to do it. Fiming maybe ? Thursday Topping on video ! Simple method

Tuesday Last week was a topping week and this week is a transition week as the 2 Grapefruit has been moved to the «flowering » tent which is equipped with the MarsHydro TSL 2000 that is pushing 300w of great 👍 light spectrum with a perfect mix between the différents colors in the spectrum. Just 2 days in the tent and they are already stretching so I feel like this time I’m about to defoliate some of the upper fan leaves 🍁 which is not my cup of tea so let’s see how I’m doing it. Will use the removed leaves to make a leaves tea , which is basically bunch oft leaves that I am leaving in the water for a week in a covered bucket , it’s a great foliar spray when it’s done & I will show you the final Ec after 7 days anse you may be surprised 😲 . Thursday The pictures are from Wednesday and the soil of the girl were fairly dry , the lower leaves started to fade-away. The feeding is still the same around 1.7ec and 5.8ph and around 3/4 times a week , I have some grow mates on GD who are keeping the coco constantly moist but I have some difficulty to do it so I’m using the old school wet/dry cycle of the medium. Btw I’ve changed my feeding for the GHE maxibloom because the PK ratio is higher so good for the flowering stage and still one part nuts + cal/mag Sunday I have found a nutrient tips , I can’t confirm that it’s a good one but it offer me an opportunity to be more lazy 😍 ... don’t worry be happy be lazy . So I discovered that when mixing 10g of Greenhouse Hybrids powder with 20ml of GHE cal/mag in 20L of tap water 💦 then adding some GHE Maxibloom until the Ec get to 1,7/2,8 was almost a Ph perfect formula as my mix ph is 5.9 😊 close from the 5.8 sweet spot SO now I’m gonna mix it like that all the time and check only the runoff PH . We are in the end of pre flowering and the girl will start the full flowering process soon enough but they will keep on stretching because of the MarsHydro Spectrum 😁 Thanks for following 😍

Wednesday Watered this morning both are doing well except for a heat/humidity stress visible on the edges of the leaves that are curling up . The shapes of the plants seems to be the final shapes so I guess that they will focus on the buds BUT I am starting to understand that the MarsHydro is promoting the stretch so they could continue to stretch a bit. I have made a video to show you my low stems cleaning so I hope you'll enjoy it 🙈🙉🙊 Thursday Same stems cleaning on the second grapefruit and a watering for both . The girls are drinking a lot and pretty often for a hand watering run.

Monday To be honest I'm writing these word on the Sunday night so it's not yet monday but shit happened during last week and I would like to focus on the issue all that week and maybe the next So I have thrips and maybe red spiders and the invasion is a hard one ! Why ? Because of a f$@#ing outdoor plant that I've put inside for 2 weeks ( stupid or dumb ? ) 😓 The flowering is already starting good but not buds are really formed so maybe I can still save them without harming the future buds because I'm about to neem oil spray them ! I've also heard about cinnamon mixture against bugs : great cuz I've got 10 cinnamon trees in 20L pots since a least 4 years ( yeah they are struggling to stay alive ) so I'm gonna use this . If you have any more tricks against these bastards please tell me in the comment 🙏 Watering Ec 1.8 // PH 5.9 Friday The girls are doing good since the neem oil spraying 😉 I have also manually removed some red spiders under the leaves with a wet tissue and the last move was to remove the 2 ultra lemon haze that were sharing the same box so now I only have 2 grapefruits inside 🤔 which is not cool because the space can handle 4 to 6 plants so I'll have some germination to start before next week 😋 Thanks for everyone inputs about my bug issue I will keep an eye on it Feeding like usual with my new formula mixing Greenhouse powder Feeding & GHE Maxibloom + calcium : ph 5.9 and 1.7 ec . Next week I'll introduce the PK boost with an EC around 2.0 Saturday Just a little video with a old ass song 😊✌️ enjoy the music ( or hate it ) .

" Il reste quelques gens biens donc je garde espoire " PNL Wednesday It's fattening and ot seems that the bugs are not around anymore but it's just an illusion as a low population in still a population so I'm still at war. Thanks for your inputs , it's when you are in trouble that you're realising that you've got a whole community here for you 😘🤘👌🙌 Observations : Burning tips of the leaves due to an over feeding // Lower leaves that are fading and falling due to the age // Old signs of PH fluctuation As my last runoff check was a while ago I'm about to check these values today 👍🤘 Saturday The small Grapefruits, the one with the 420 pin , is doing so so . Two of the main buds have some bud rot due to the high humidity of the 2 last days ... high humidity due to the fact that I am working without air extractor and box half open but I've closed my box for less than. 48h and when zinc opened it the wall were full of water drops ( more than drops ) To help with that issue I've done a defoliation to have a better air circulation around the buds even if it's not recommended to do it that far in flowering. I've also observed the trichomes and they are mostly cloudy with a few brown and like 40% of clear trichs : surprising as the looks like she may need 1 extra week or 2 before cutting

Tuesday I've cut one of the Grapefruits today , day 58 from seed 😎👍 She is ready yet but I could have wait longer before harvest , the real reason is that one bud is starting to get moldy inside so before I loose my crop I prefer to harvest. The second will still be growing under the MarsHydro TSL2000 so I'll report the grow until harvest. She is a bit slower to flower and also a bit more sativa looking than her sis . Friday The biggest one is the only one that remains and ... she is pushing a lot of new pistols like if she wanted a second bulking up phase 😍 that strain is pretty amazing to grow as she have different harvest window and each one could be the good one for you 👍 I feel like this one will remains another week into the flowering tent before cutting. I want that weed to have a lighter effect that my 1st harvest ✌️ Saturday I wanted to talk about the colors of the leaves . Leaves are showing some ph fluctuations signs and also some cal/mag issue. I can't really get why I had these ph fluctuations and why these fluctuations has marked the plant, I feel like my ec range was around 5.7 / 6.2 so that 0.5 difference is my fluctuations range 🤔 The calcium issue is slight but visible and I also experimenting a potassium deficiency visible by the burning tips + yellowing & rusty edges + the little dots . Except for the ph that I am checking everytime, the others issues are my fault , I did have that plant a kind of N boost by using a 6-5-4 NPK nutrient to counter balance a slight N deficiency 2 weeks ago and unfortunately that nutrient is Cal/Mag free which may have caused my deficiencies but also the PH fluctuation as I noticed that an extra cal/mag was helping the ph not to fluctuate that much , it generally does freeze the ph around a certain value ( that value is 5.9 ph in my case ) Of course it's only a supposition so if you can explain the science behind it please explain it to me in the comments section 👍🙏 Sunday Well after 63 days and with 100% milky trichomes .... the last grapefruit has been harvested 🌱 I had the choice to push an extra week or to cut and I've cut . See you for the harvest/ smoke report Thanks to everyone who has helped me during that journey , I hope that the stuffs that I've shared with you will be helpful or at least will not be useless and I wish you many harvests 👍😍😘😋🙌

Personally, I prefer to go a little bit over after previous experiences where I harvested with no Ambers and the buds could hand been thicker and stinkier. So now I don't flush until I see an Amber and give it minimal flushing. 👍🌱

Happy Harvest Day!

This diary is bringing a lot of "first time" to me : 1st time that I'm harvesting a weed so quick as the oldest took 62 days from seed to harvest which is a perfect weed to grow all year long as you can have 6 crop a year 🤫🤭😷 I am just realizing that the yield is the same for each plant 😷 it's the 1st time for me that 2 plants from the same strain are yielding exactly the same : 1:✌️😁 it's not that common so I wanted to underline that fact. The plants has been harvested and they are drying upside down in a closet with a fan blowing in their direction. #1 : 52.30 Grams Taste : Orange peel and Berries 🍊🍓 Smell : Orange peel Effect : Talkative, mind motivation , creativity are the 1st effects then you are relaxed , happy , tired but not sleepy. That weed is keeping your mind in a state of constant awareness of what is going on around you while your body will slowly become heavy : 1: Personal tips : Good weed to make love when both has took a hit 😍 #2 : 52.50 Grams Taste : Orange peels and something else Smell : Orange peels and something else Effect : Same same but different ✌️😁 the effect is similar to the other one but this one is clearly attacking the size of your eyes , so you'll have red & small eyes . That one is relaxing but with a stone effect at the end. It's harder to resist and you'll get that sleepy / stone effect that is perfect when you know how to manage it 😏 Easy or Hard to grow ? Super easy to take care of , open structure easy to manage , tight buds easy to trim , resistant to humidity , can accept a nice amount of fertilizer but an average dosage will be enough for a descent crop. What can you improve ? -The training methods !! With a topping at the right moment and some light defoliation to improve light penetration ✌️ -The feeding : In coco I will push the ec around 2 ✌️ Will you grow it again ? Recommending it ? I've got 5 more seeds that I will convert into weed jars before the end of the year 🙏💪 I am recommending it to every coco nobs like me ✌️ ------‐-------------------‐--------------- The three way smoke test [INCOMING] -----------‐-------------------‐---------- # Doobies without tobacco # Acidulous sweet orange peel taste , exactly in the grapefruit terpenes range 👌 The throat can feel a smooth smoke so hard to caught if you're not a newbie which is important to be said because my flush wasn't the best one and the leaves were still green after the drying process. There is a spicy after taste , like cinnamon or/and ginger that is creating a "one more puff" effect # Crafty+ Vaporizer # It's a different kind of hit ! The grapefruit is a nice vapor producer unlike some weeds I've tried. I only vaped it at 200 C° so I don't know about the vapor produced with a lower heating temp. The taste is nice even if I can taste the chlorophyll which means that my drying was too quick. The effect is quick and It was a giggling stone 😏 # Water Pipe # Taste is ok , hit isn't hard. Stone is good but I prefer the doobies and the vapo.

My Grapefruits never tasted like Grapefruit 😂 but they are all tasting like crazy good weeds with tons of terpenes on the orange/lime tons which is close from the grapefruit but less acidulous and more like an orange flower taste 🍊😏 I feel like it is the kind of weed that has been selected to be "identical" in terms of shape , structure , yield : the plants are really similar and generous. The smell and tastes all have something in common , a strong base that is common to them all but they have they own little variation, the contrast is slight but enough to talk about it 😎🌱 Free advice : Pinch the tops during the veg and stretch if your grow space is not a 2 meter height one.

@Med_in_tropic, Haha great question amigo !! In fact yes autos can be cloned , I ‘be seen a topic on a forum about it years ago and gave it a try just for fun. Check the last picture of week 3 to see my 2 grapefruits clones , the mother plant is the one in flowering . They are in 3L pots in recycled soil and they are doing well. I was thinking about using auto clones to makes seeds instead of using a plant that I want to smoke 💨 so something free from any seeds. 🤘🏼

@OutForReal, ive tried reversing the sex of auto clones with sts but they dont produce a lot of pollen so I still reckon sacrificing a whole plant will produce better results but it's still fun to experiment Mate

Hi @Shagrath, " Ive never heard that the bud is ripe and ready but still growing more. " I am saying that the trichomes are 100% milky which means that the trichomes ratio is ready for an harvest , but the bud structure is showing a second bulking up as this plant shoots more pistols and the calyxes are pretty small , they can easily double in size like the 1st grapefruit I've grown. So you can have a 100% milky but still not have the full size/shape/yield potential. That is why I am talking Bout effect over yield , because with a 30% amber trichs the effect will be more sleepy but still good with bigger buds. Thanks for your answer bro @Nor_Cal_Kannabliss, Thanks , my favourite ratio is around 30% amber because the effect is starting to be more sleepy ( the " go to bed " effect ). When you past that 30% you have a big big sleepy effect 😁 my favourite effect . Thanks amigo @Fruitgrower, I got you bro 👌🙌 thanks for the answer , generally I am doing like you but this time I'm trying an early harvest 😁

That sucks about the bugs, but shit happens and you grow a lot of 🔥! If its just a few plants it should be manageable, I dealt with spider mites during flower (when I made the mistake of taking in somebody's plant) by spraying down the leaves with water at a decent pressure to blast them off a couple times a week. I also went through the plants leaf by leaf, checking both sides, and squishing any pests I could find and removing leaves showing infestation or heavy damage. I also fogged the with some insecticidal soap (avoiding the buds, just under the canopy) and sealed the plants for 30-60 minutes before turning airflow back on. This kept their population so low it didn't end up messing with yield/quality. Hopefully it's just thrips as they shouldn't be too bad to manage. I also agree with the effectiveness of neem as long as it's really early in flower (it smells and tastes like shit which is a risk). I've never tried them personally, but introducing predator insects can also keep the population down without hurting quality or spraying with chemicals. I am sure you're going to beat the bastards and yield some good bud 👍

@Cheeba_Inu, Haha my bud rot feels like a deserved punishment 😂😁✌️ I mean who'd growing indoor without an air extractor ? ...... except me 😅 Like you said it happens sooner or later during a grower lifetime, sooner is better to learn how to manage the issue ! Just hope that mine will be minor as it's always happening on the biggest buds
Cheeba_Inu
Cheeba_Inucommented5 years ago
@OutForReal, bud rot always feels like a punishment for good growing, which is the most tragic thing. But I think it happens to everyone sooner or later and it's good to be prepared! A vacuum sounds like a really good idea! I've used it for fruit flies/fungus gnats before, and I imagine you could suck thrips up the same way as well. Seems like a fun way to get revenge on them lol 👍

OutForRealcommented5 years ago
@Cheeba_Inu, I'll monitor for the bud rot as am pretty familiar with that issue which is happening at least once a year for me but luckily ( if I can call it luck ...) this year it happened to my 2 ultra lemon haze 😭 so it means that these one should be safe 😏. Did you tried to get rid of them with a vacuum? I am about to try it too , to get rid of the last bugs 👍😁

Hey spinna. Nice to see u turning out some nice plants mate. You get em going well in small pots! I have my first auto at the moment and i worried the pot may be too small but noticed yours were going well in smaller pots. I reckon nothing beats neem for certain pests. No home remedies seem as effective. In oz we have a product called eco neem. Works well, does smell a bit but early in flower it is effective here. Cheers mate

@Shooey,Thanks bro ! I recognize that I am always growing in small containers since a while now but now that I am in coco it is changing everything about the way they are growing. I still need to manage the grow space better as I'm used to the outdoor grow so it's cool to be back indoor . BUT YOU ARE 100% RIGHT about the fact that any of my grow would have been better with bigger pots 😅 I have spread the girls with neem oil and removed the bugs with a wet tissue so now I will monitor and watch how it goes . Bro you've really put the stress on something interesting : the little pot thing ! I feel like I need to adapt the feeding and watering to that parameter because I'm almost always ending up with some deficiencies due to the lack of space or the lack of nutrients . Thanks amigo , sometimes we need someone else to realise things 😉💪👍
