A flat ScrOG Harvest #1

I added this week so I can coherently give the basic info of my vegetative phase. These girls require ALOT of defoliating. I planned to be removing leaves more heavily couple of times, once during veg and once at the end of flow stretch. Well, no. It has been quite constant during the last three weeks of veg. I opt to grow a dense screen of green, so the growth shoots are quite close to each other and the canopy is hard for the light to penetrate. Hence, a lot of leaf removal. I topped the plants after the 5th set of real leaves and FIMed the plants from 4 tops each, 3 weeks before the start of flowering. This timing was due to some schedule trouble at the start of this grow. I have very limited space and sometimes I have to do things according to universe, not my own plans... About the microbes and fungi with H2O2...I add some H2O2 to my main tank to keep it clean. I feed super thrive, bud candy (sugarry crap, only during flowering) and microbes and fungi straight to the individual plant tanks, otherwise it's going to be algae troubles in the main tank. Some extra work, but seems to be working. My system does not recirculate. I do not drain the nutrient solution at all and feed the plants nutrients every day up until the last 6 days of flush. Weekly feeding plan will unfold later. I use CO2-bags and CO2 tabs due to some extreme temperatures during some times of the year. Btw, I am a climate change believer, everything I grow, grows with wind electricity :) Filled the screen about 60-70 % full then switched to 12-12. Canopy is abit uneven, due to genotypical tendencies of 4 different plants filling 1 big screen, and at about 30 to 40 cm above the screen. Okay but, not nice. Next time screen should be 80-90% full before switch to 12/12.

So, this diary basicly starts at the beginning of the fourth flowering week. That is due to the fact that I started on this awesome site at flowering day #23. I am running a constant crop machine through the year. I take clones the same day that I switch to flowering 12/12 cycle. Those clones become my next crop and so on. I grow the clones very, very slowly because I have so limited space and stealth is the way I have to do things. I have a diy clone cabinet with custom lights. My main grow chamber is also built by me from scratch. I have 4 plants in a row in the main chamber and for lights Ive got 2x400W HPS and 2x42W TLED (designed for flowering). HPS are connected to a duct and all lights are fixed in height. Above the plants I have an old school wire net with 50 mm spacing. Plastic shielded wire of course. These plants in this diary are started from seeds from ROYAL QUEEN SEEDS. All the seeds that I planted, started. About the nutes that are no longer in play : GHE's Diamond Nectar is in use up until the beginning of the third flowering week. Nutrient schedule changes will be updated to weekly raports. Note to self: when defoliating green gelatos heavy handedly, please consider some nitrogen boost to help them recover better. I'm happy that I had saved some of my under-the-screen big fan leaves for the girls to eat. Still, 5 ml of Ghe Micro for every girl as extra food because of hunger for N. EDIT: Added some info about VEG, check the previous week if interested. UPDATE: I decided to be taking some 4th flowering week clones, just to see if I get them going. THIS IS FLOWERING WEEK #5: Upped the air exchange. Dropped the day temp to 24 °C. Dropped the night temp to 17 °C. Soon it will be summer here and all hell will break loose temperature wise. Let's enjoy these temps while they last. Day RH ~49%, night RH ~56% ===================÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷====================÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷==================== Dropped the nutes to 1.2 mS/cm. Dark green foliage and almost burning leaf tips, so...there you go. Dropped the silicon to 65% of previous, ganja don't need so much silica power towards the end. Time for Lucas-formula: bye gro, it's 1 part micro, 2 part bloom for now. Also AN big bud still as blooming boost. On top of that every 4 days every plant gets directly to their own tanks 5 ml AN Bud Candy and 0,5 ml SuperThrive. Once a week I add AN Tarantula and AN Voodoo Juice, 5 ml each to every plant. Until last week they also got AN Piranha but I am switching microbes and fungi, thus had not purchased more of forementioned stuff, and have ran out. So, no more of that. Girls are now drinking 2,5 litres/plant/day. ===================÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷====================÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷==================== Again, also some leaf removal. It was a smaller plant at transplant time and ended up filling a smaller area than the rest of the plants. So, when flowering stretch happened it reached higher than the others. I decided not to bend the plant to the same level as the rest because the temperatures won't get too high there and it would be necessary to bend the whole plant so to avoid too much stress....no. 💩 <--- I fucking love this little fella ...and now, 2 days later this: HIGH STRESS TRAINING on the highest parts of plant #3 due to some upward curling of the leaves. Which in this case, most likely is due to light stress (as in too much light energy). So I bended some, probably in coming days, I might bend s'more.

EC 1.2 to 1.3. Going to 1.4 in couple of days. Flowering week 7 ###################################################### Uploaded fresh pics. Its very hot and very misty. Soon I'll have to drop the HPS-lights to 250W 😒 day 29 °C/ 55%, night 21 °C / 65%. Lousy ain't it, mate? ###################################################### Nutrient wise no changes. Same solution as last week, with EC=1.4 and pH=6.0 ...until now, FLOWERING DAY #49: Emptied the main tank, switched water& ghe flash clean (flora kleen) 1,5 ml/l. I'll be giving this for the girls for 2 days then I'll empty the plant tanks and fill everything with ripening solution.

Flowering week #8 ############################################## First two days of this week are a miniflush before final ripening period. I will pump empty the plant tanks after the miniflush. After the flush (water and Ghe Flash Clean aka Flora Kleen, pH 6.0) it is time for a ripening solution that consists of water and GHE Ripen aka FinalPart with a start EC of 1.1. Will be adjusted as needed. ####################################################### Had to drop the HPS-light wattages from 400 to 250 W due to too much heat emitted from our life giving, all energy providing home star. You're ruining my crop, WTF?! This will be standard for the next 3 months or so. I also lowered the leds. Finally, lazy me. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Update: I still had some AN bud candy left, will feed it to the girls in the next 2 weeks. Flowering week 10: 💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱 Ripen still running @1.3 mS/cm, pH 6.0ish. Main tank is in the house, in a room that heats alot during heat waves. This fact cannot be helped. Last night solution temperature was 28 centigrade, so I had to pour 30 litres out and replace with cold solution. Thankfully this wasteful act doesnt have to happen but couple of times a year. 💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱 Buds are still fattening quite nicely considering how poorly this scrog run was executed. But this a new strain to me, so I wont whip myself more than 2 or 3 times a day for this. 💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱 I have not measured the temps in the plant tanks, just visual inspecting and of course analyzing the smell 😋 Roots look okay considering that it is sooooo hot. 33 C in the shade atm. 💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱💩👹😠😱 2 more days of ripening solution, then a 4 day flush with flora kleen/flash clean + water solution. Probably @3ml/l...Ill update when it has been decided. OH I FORGOT: I check trichomes weekly in the late weeks of flowering and act accordingly. 2 days ago atleast 30-80 % per plant still clear. Aiming for a 70 flowering day harvest. I am an anal retentive control freak, I try and bend the plants to my will with monstrous chemicals and miniflushes (this is new to me, but will continue to do them). I dont always hit the mark, but usually quite close. Still, of course plants must be listened, even by people like me. I love my plants, but I do stress them quite alot during their 6-6,5 month life cycle. I give back by blasting good music through the wall. The plants you see in this diary were topped once and fimmed from 4 different places. This was too much and ensued in small sized buds all around. Next run will be different in that aspect, just topping, no fimming and probably 3 weeks longer in vegi, we'll see. Defoliation has been constant, and the amount of bending is obvious. I will come back with one more round of pics the day before harvest, and then of course with the results update later on. EC is useless at this point since shitty bitty particles have been gathering at the bottom of the tanks for months. The pumps just dont the have power to suck all the crap out. Nevermind. The temperature of the solution is a nice 27 °C. No root sickness yet. NOW THIS IS WHAT I CALL EXCITING, 5 MORE DAYS OF AVOIDING ROOTROT, BUDROT AND BRAINROT...jk, too late considering brainrot. Happy times. Also checked trichomes on 3 plants. Embla is ready and just at the peak with 2/10 trich turned milky ro amber. Astrid is fully milky, no ambers yet. H2O and GHE Flash Clean @ 3ml/l, pH 6.0 and aiming for temp of 18-21 °C. This for 5 days. Then harvest. When the lights go on, I will pump the plant tanks empty and replace with said solution. Also I started yesterday the good ol' ice bottle in the tank-summer tradition. 1,5 litre bottle of frozen tap water will be floating in the main tank, cooling down the liquid. ...Sitting here in the attic. It is HOT. I have a cold beer, my vapcap and am typing this shit here like a president on the toilet. The tanks are being emptied righr now. It takes about 30 minutes per tank to empty with the small recirc pump that is in each tank. So entertainment I need. Green Gelato to me, was a very easy to grow and resilient strain. It took extreme indoor temperatures and still produced a somewhat okay yield. I must say that I am disappointed in the yield, but the obvious reasons for this will be below. Reasons for a good looking, yet quite a small yield: - I topped twice and FIMmed from 4 places, each plant. This was too much and resulted in small buds - I experimented with a heavy defoliation for a first time and over did it - the canopy was truely very uneven, this was also due to my own fuck ups. Also two different style genotypes, other low and bushy, other lankier and taller. - the heatwave came, the last 3 weeks of flowering the HID lights were at 250 W power. - almost the whole flowering period was filled with evil temperatures and sadistic moisture levels All in all the top layer of buds across the screen are awesome. This strain is recommended for stealt using since the after smell of vaping or smoking it, is something that my decades of ganja use-friends, did not recognize as cannabis. Under the poor circumstances, well done Mrs Gelatos 😘 End product will now be cured in jars for as long as it takes for me to consume them. I'll be vaping as I go, now and tomorrow...cured or not. Drying process was 7 days of hanging in the dark. Main AC on for 15min every 3 hours for the first 3 days. Then 15 min on every 4 hours for 2 days. After that 15 mins every 8 hours for 2 days, then jar and cure whatever. Next screen is a lowered main screen with an added top screen. 3 Green Gelatos and 1 White Widow. I bet that I can get closer to 200 grams per plant on my next run...YES, LET'S DO IT ✊✊✊.
