Week of 12/14-12/20
12/16 - watered with cal mag and sticky sweet with 6.3-6.4PH water.
12/20 - watered around 6.2-6.3PH.
Just wrapped up week 7 of flower! Overall, buds on the blackberries are getting fat, multiple large sized colas on each plant. Hairs are starting to turn orange. Same with one banana bomb, hairs are receding and turning orange. Buds are plumpy. The one banana bomb looks like flower was either stunted or delayed but itโs starting to plump up. All plants are getting covered in trichs. Continuing to pick off deficient leaves but not too much at this stage. Girls are so deliciously smelly, omg. Mixes of gum, fruity berry, lemon, overripe bananas, diesel. Itโs seriously so great to smell.
I know I said I was stopping nutes but wanted to throw in one last cal mag. From there, we should have 2 weeks of watering to clear out the nutes.
Need to start thinking about drying since they likely wonโt finish at the same time. But getting excited. Hoping other three plump up with the blackberries. When we get closer Iโll post trich pics.
Hello, curious if anyone has thoughts on issues with plants. Thinking cal mag deficiency and/or overwatering. I wouldnโt rule out nute burn, chlorine issues, PH fluctuations. Some plants stunted, very small distance between nodes and leaf chutes.
Any advice for checking trichomes? I have a loupe but just purchased a digital microscope. Images look great, I can get really close up comfortably. Curious where on the plant one should look, multiple locations, etc. I think Iโm shooting for 10-20% amber.
Try to look at the part of the bud where pistils grow from, its green but its not a sugar leaf. Also consider that some buds may mature faster than others so you could harvest some before the others.
I haven't grow Banana and Blackberry..
But I can definitely tell you then the Dos Si Dos #33 will makes you happy ๐ฑ๐
Pay attention at the stickiness ๐ฅ๐
Have fun ๐๐ฑ
@Spider, hello! These ladies are currently sitting in 2 gallon fabric pots, and will transplant and finish in 5 gallon fab pots. Thanks for stopping by :)
I had a similar problem with my Banana Bomb in week 4 of veg. They seem to be more sensitive to ph imbalances then other strains. My other Delicious Candy plants got the same incorrect ph water for a couple days at the same time and they barely noticed it. I grow RDWC though so proper ph is vital. But ya, just wanted to let ya know it prob just ph and to pay extra attention to the ph for the Banana Bomb in my experience so far. Bad ph will lock out your nutes and do that to your leaves too.
@russrahl, good to know! Rookie mistake on my end on my first grow, but plants are looking healthier after correction. Just had to defoliate some nasty dying leaves but tops looking healthy. BBs got hit the hardest for sure. Thanks for stopping by :)
