Welcome! If you're just joining us, it's the beginning of Week 5. Audrey is growing consistently, if behind on schedule. I'd peg this as about Week 3 growth. Nutrients are on point, as is pH. Currently working on getting her LSTed and opening more nodes for growth. I'm expecting another growth spurt this week. I'll update throughout the week. Good luck with your grows! For Rock and Stone.
Day 30: I'm going to update with a couple random thoughts I've had so far when comparing this grow to the last grow, which you can see here (both were Northern Lights Auto, last one ended up failing late in its life cycle): https://growdiaries.com/diaries/70337-seedsman-northern-lights-auto-grow-journal-by-4rockandstone/week/338492
First, looking at pictures of both, this grow is almost exactly 2 weeks behind the last grow. However, the last grow I had lots of trouble with nutrients and pH imbalance, which is what I think eventually did me in (as well as possibly being given Fem regular seeds rather than Auto seeds). Comparing pics from the start of Week 3 last grow to Week 5 of this grow, I can see a definite difference in health. This current grow leaves are a healthy green, no shininess or clawing. pH has remained the exact same the whole grow, almost stubbornly at 6.5. I'm much more confident that I can finish this one. It goes to show how important organic soil and proper nutrients is to a plant.
Day 33: A few updates. First, Audrey has officially entered her stretch phase! A lot of her nodes that I've been LST are growing 1-2 inches overnight. By the end of this week she should cover the whole pot. At that point I'll let her finally start growing vertically. Last time I did this I continued to LST by tying potential colas to the pot so I could continue the LST, but with a fabric pot this time I'm not sure how that'd go. Any thoughts?
Also, my Vivosun 4 in. inline fan has begun making a nasty grinding noise like the ball bearings are failing (after only 5 months...). I've reached out to customer support since it's under warranty to see about getting a new one. In the meantime, I'm tolerating it but can't work in the same room as the tent now. I hope to have it replaced in the next week.
Finally, health wise everything is going well with Audrey. Her leaves are a healthy green, no nutrient burn. Only spots have stemmed from accidentally splashing nutrient water while feeding that never evaporated off. No gnats either, so must have been a fluke last week. Her taproot is gigantic, and I continue to have to cover it up because it's so close to the surface. When she grows a couple inches in height next week I'll cover it up with much more dirt. Overall, going well!
From what I can see it's a healthy mix of Cloudy and Clear. Look for 30% amber for a harvest sweet spot on your plant.
Always look to the buds and not sugar leafs when checking! 🤘😤
Hello!
what a nice looking plant you got there, great job!
Soon you'll be able to enjoy the puffs of this delicious strain ehehe
I'm actually writing and tasting it, as I just harvested mine a few weeks ago eheh
Good luck with the remaining time, happy grow
@TheGourmetWeed, I have an end date I have to keep to due to company, but I intend to run her as long as I can! NL Autos can take a while; some people on Grow Diaries ran theirs 18-24 weeks!
@4RockandStone, thank you for the kind words :D
If you followed my diary, then I really give you a good piece of advice. Let it be a couple more weeks than I did.
I regret now harvesting so soon as the effects could be stronger.
@TheGourmetWeed, thanks man! I've been looking at your diary the past few weeks to gauge what to expect with this NL Auto. Hope it turns out as well as yours!
