11/1:
I started a pair of each of the Wicked Stix beans, but had a couple of failures and ended up planting a Berry Bomb and a GG4 as replacements.
Sucrose Overdose (aka "Sugah") seeds are derived from a legendary InHouse Sugar Cane plant. They are F2's, selfed from possibly the frostiest cannabis plant on earth..so I'm pretty anxious to see how they, and her hybrids, do in my garden.
Muscadine Wine seeds are derived from a strategic cross between a delicious InHouse Black Cherry Punch and the aforementioned, legendary Sugar Cane plant.
Platonium seeds are derived from a strategic cross between a really gnarly InHouse Platinum Jelly and the aforementioned, legendary Sugar Cane plant.
Sucrose Breath / aka "Sugah Bref" seeds are derived from a strategic cross between a spectacular InHouse Velvet Breath and the aforementioned, legendary Sugar Cane plant.
SPECIAL THANKS go to Wicked_Stix for this incredible opportunity to grow real 🔥FIYAH🔥 🙌!!!
11/3:
Seeing sudden signs of an N deficiency on a Sucrose Overdose and a few other seedlings in the garden. Fed them for the first time and started foliar feeding with Microlife Super seaweed.
11/2:
The droopy Sucrose Overdose and a few other seedlings started showing signs of deficiencies, so I fed them a little bit and started foliar feeding with kelp/fish emulsion plus other minerals.
11/3:
New growth is looking better...
11/4:
Much perkier...
11/7:
Muscadine Wines are the best pair, but the Sucrose Ovedrdose seedlings are doing great, too. Platonium is strong, but a little slower, and the Sugah Breath is about the same..
11/9:
The Wicked Stix genetics are proving to be strong. Berry Bomb is coming along nicely now, but the GG4 is pretty weak. It may eventually catch hold....fingers crossed..
11/11:
All 6 of the Wicked Stix plants are doing very well. Berry Bomb is growing well, and GG4 actually even looks better today.
11/16:
I potted up the biggest Sucrose Overdose and moved her into the closet. She's a badass. I also potted up and moved the Platonium into the closet. She's a weird one...she doesn't look "sick", but is very limp looking and has no real apex...
11/18:
Still spraying them with super seaweed juice a couple times per day at least. They'll get some boom boom spray later this week, along with Axiom harpin proteins.
11/19:
I potted up everybody after harvesting the last five plants in my other crop and have all but the Berry Bomb from this diary in a 3 gallon pot now.
11/20:
I fed them and sprayed them with BoomBoom Spray and Axiom today and let it soak in nice and slow under low light with no air circulation.
I adjusted the far reds and timers and tonight is their first ever nighttime...I'm exploiting the Emerson effect again this run...hopefully they transition with a switch from 24/0 to 14/10 quicker than they did from 18/6 to 14/10...
11/21:
Yowsa! Overnight growth explosion! Guess they needed a nap... 😏
I potted up the last 3 plants, including the Berry Bomb today. The Sucrose Overdose plants are really growing quickly and both have purple stalk and stems, so I assume it's a varietal trait. The GG4 is starting to look promising...both Muscadine Wines are praying to the "sun," Sugah Bref is actually putting on some size now, and
"Cousin It" (the Platonium) is branching like crazy and even growing vertically a little now.👍
11/22:
The GG4 now looks like she's gonna be a beast. The MW's also have purple stems.
I foliar fed today with Microlife super seaweed.
That's it for week 3(4)-
11/24:
Looks like the Emerson Effect/14 hour photoperiod is working...stretching has commenced.👍
11/25:
Had to raise the lights 5 inches today. The big Sucrose Overdose and a Zkittlez are really stretching.
I'm using platforms of varying heights for the shorter plants to keep the canopy level.
11/27:
Raised the lights another 5 inches and fed today.
11/28:
Raised the lights another couple inches this morning...now, I'm thinking I should have topped them...that's a foot in about 3 days...doh!😏
They're already starting to show signs of budding up, so I'll just have to do some supercropping and tie down the taller mains.
11/29:
Raised the lights a couple more inches and supercropped the tallest Sucrose Overdose.
11/30-12/5:
Major stretch from the Muscadine Wine's and one of the Sucrose Overdose. I supercropped and tied down the apex on the big SO and I'll probably have to supercrop both MW's before it's over. The Platonium and GG4 aren't stretching vertically nearly as quickly, but have massive leaves and huge diameters (problem children). Sugar Bref is a shorty, like the Berry Bomb, but both have very thick stalks and may, yet, do some stretching.
Both MW's and the big SO not only have red stems, but they have red leaf veins and the outer edges of the fan leaves have a nice pale-green to red gradient coloration....swexy!😍
12/8:
Fed today.
12/10:
Very busy with life..seeing more pistils... finally...
Sprayed them with Microlife Maximum blooms right before dark.
12/12:
Fed today. Pulled everybody out of the closet and took some photos.
Did some supercropping and raised the lights...
12/15:
Had to raise the lights again...only 3 inches left, then I'm limited to supercropping for height control...
12/15:
Some plants are taking too long to transition and stretching beyond my space constraints, so I dialed the photoperiod back to 12/12.
12/16:
Fed today and rotated edge plants. Added another 150w of 3000k below the canopy.
Sucrose Overdose and Muscadine Wines are still stretching...raised lights again.
12/17:
Worked on ventilation...no A/C necessary now, as I'm using another AC Infinity 6" fan to intake outdoor air into the closet whenever temps reach 75f..and it's been cold as hell outside.👍
The final trick will be to replace the 6" exhaust fan with an 8" so as to be able to fully exchange the closet air faster ...but that's gonna have to wait til next season.
12/18:
Supercropped a Muscie... again... now she's doing the "letter 'S' thang. I'll force the curves tighter over the new few days if she keeps stretching.
12/21:
Raised the lights as high as they can go...
12/22:
Fed today and rearranged the garden. Did some supercropping, and lassoed the GG4 (bitch is wild i tell ya)
12/26:
Fed today and did some more supercropping...
12/28 - 1/3:
Another busy week with life...
Last fed on Sunday 1/3
The plants are all budding up well and frosting over quite early!
I am hoping to remove the smallest three plants from this closet and move them into the tiny tent in the next couple of days..flushing the autos in there today (1/3). That will hopefully give the bigger girls a little room to spread their wings.
1/4:
Crazy stink suddenly erupting from the closet over the past few days..ordered a new carbon filter and replaced all other carbon filters in the house...and 3 jars of skunk scrubber...worth a shot...
1/5:
Now just have 13 plants in the closet, so maybe I can increase mass and density on the lowers a little better now.
Moved the Platonium, Velvet Sugar Breath (Sugah Bref), and the GG4 into the tiny tent under a pair of Mars Hydro TS1000W's. They spent the first month of their lives in this tent, and they'll spend the last month in there as well.
There's barely enough headroom for them, but they have a little more elbow room than they did in the closet. I think I'll put one of my 70w 3000k waterproof boards on the floor of the tiny tent facing upwards tomorrow and see if the temps are still manageable on mild days.
1/10:
Very happy with all these girls! Even the Berry Bomb is showing potential, but the Wicked Stix plants are absolute stellar whoopass
The trichs on the green Sucrose Overdose pheno look like river sand, or maybe brown sugar. Sexy. The red-leaved pheno has frost half way out its fan leaves and smells amazing. The Muscadine Wines are my favorite plants in the crop, though. Every bit as frosty as the SOs, but the sexy burgundy colorations make them special. Platonuium and Sugah Bref are also coming along very nicely. You can tell they've got something special brewing...wonderful aromas. The GG4 is the slowest flowering of the bunch, but she's gonna produce very well. Her branches are all over the place.
1/11:
Fed today, but had no time for photos.
1/15:
Didn't have time to feed today...😕
1/16:
Fed everybody...little bit of drought...sorry girls...
Uploaded photos- 😍
I put a new 15.0 intensity reptile UVB into the tiny tent, about 14-18" away from the plants. Hopefully that stresses them enough to make Wicked_Stix jealous of all the frost they produce....
1/18:
Got my new 10t Dabpress...bout to get sticky up in here...
Built another DIY Co2 maker and put it in the bottom of the tiny tent with the other Co2 makers...that air is exhausted into the closet, so any CO2 not utilized in the tent has another chance at being used before being exhausted from the building.
Seems like the new UVB bulb is intense enough to stress the plants.👍
1/19:
Fed today. Added humic acid. Took some photos and video...ooh la la...😍
1/20:
Took photos of the ladies in the tiny tent....yowsa!
1/24 - 1/28:
Fed on 1/28. The SO's and MW's have entered the harvest window. and both the Platonium and Velvet Sugah Bref are right behind them, so it was the last feeding for everybody except maybe the GG4.
2/1:
I flushed the taller/skinnier Muscadine Wine and lightly fed everybody else.
2/4:
I moved the taller/skinnier MW into the dark for a day...she and several other plants will be harvested tomorrow.
2/8:
Harvested the skinnier MW on 2/6 and she's hanging to dry. The fat one is still ripening up and is just getting water with LiquidSoil. I moved the Platonium into the closet and she's getting lit from all sides now and was flushed on 2/6. Both SO's are almost ready, but the red one might be a day or two behind.
Berry Bomb refuses to turn purple despite the much lower temps. Velvet Sugah Bref and the GG4 have the tiny tent to themselves now. GG4 has a nice shade of purple on all her foliage. Gettng nothing but water with liquidsoil now...will flush them all really well on Thursday.
2/12:
I moved the Platonium, both Sucrose Overdose, and the last Muscadine Wine into the dark.
The Velvet Sugah Bref, GG4, and Berry Bomb are the last plants from this diary, and they are just getting water and Liquidsoil. They are all in the closet now and getting blasted with extremely cold winter air and intense UVB for their last week.
2/13:
I harvested the Platonium, both Sucrose Overdose, and the last Muscadine Wine tonight. Sexy sexy bitches...ooh la la!
Not embarrassed to say that I got major wood while giving them a bath...😜
2/16:
Moved the GG4 and Velvet Sugah Bref into the dark tonight.
Only the Berry Bomb from this diary remains in the closet. Despite the super cold temperatures she's been exposed to, she refuses to turn blue...oh well...it's got very fat and dense buds with a slight berry aroma.
2/17:
I took some photos, harvested the GG4 and VSB, washed them, and hung them to dry tonight.
I harvested them about a week apart. Neither one was as bulky as I hoped for, but they both frosted over incredibly well and smell a little bit like black cherry (one of the genetic donors)..but it's also a little like a burgundy wine flavor on the exhale. Very appropriately named!
Plant A: 80g
Plant B: 88g
It's dried up into some really tight, beautifully dense nuggs. Between both plants I got about another 30g's of lower/larfy bud that I'll press for the rosin in another day or two.
This strain is pure magic to grow...nothing to it really. They happily eat up whatever nutes you give them and aren't light-sensitive in the least.
They stretched a little more than 3 feet from the time they were switched to flower and both plants reached 4' in total. Slightly more space between the nodes than the Sucrose Overdose, but they filled in nicely. They have a very mild aroma while growing, but it smells delightful in a jar. One pheno had "praying" fan leaves from the get-go, all the way to the end...never drooped..not even at night. It didn't have the more red coloration in the foliage and stems like the other one. But a real beauty just the same.😍
I still have one of these beans that I'll run next Fall..and prolly clone the hell out of it..👍.
Special thanks to Wicked_Stix for his idea to breed this hybrid, and the magic beans!!!!!!
I'll update with my smoke test and final thoughts next week some time.
Love it!
Both plants grew easily and produced some amazingly potent and delicious bud. Not as heavy as IU had hoped, but it just takes a couple rips to get my head right, so it'll last a while I think.
One pheno had tons of reds and purples in the stems and leaves all the way from veg to harvest and made slightly skinnier/longer buds than the greener one. But the greener one was fatter and weighed a little more. Both plants stretched very quickly..one reached 5' in the pot, and the other would have been about 55", but I had to supercrop it very early into flower and weigh it down to keep the canopy even, so she was oriented horizontally for a while. The skinner/redder plant senesced to a beautiful purple color, so it has amazing bag appeal.
Both plants have a slight diesel aroma in the jar and are very diesel when you break up a bud, but taste nothing like they smell.
Plant A: 91g
Plant B: 97g
Final thoughts:
Potency: 10/10
Aroma: 8/10
Yield: 7/10
Flavor: 10/10
Bag-appeal: 10/10
Bud density: 10/10
Sure wish I had time this Spring to have taken some cuttings from them...
Special Thanks to Wicked_Stix for his work in the laboratory!🙌
Crazy beast of a plant. She deserved a much bigger pot and more space and she'd have been a half-pounder, easily.
Frost on almost every square inch of the plant, and she senesced to a beautiful purple color.
I gave away two of her best colas to a friend in need, and he couldn't wait for it to cure, but he says it is killer.
I'll update after I've tried it-
Special thanks to Wildeweed for sharing this awesome genetic with me!
Sticky dankolicious! I can't friggin wait to smoke this one...prolly tomorrow morning..
It grew like a dream, didn't hog much space and grew an amazingly fat and dense cola. That cola weighs over 40g by itself!!!
I'll update after I've tested...stay tuned!
Special thanks go out to Wicked_Stix for the opportunity to grow yet another phenomenal strain!👈🙌
Easy to grow and frosty af!
It produced pretty well, and every gram will be thoroughly enjoyed.
I'll update after I've had a chance to test it
Special thanks go out to Wicked_Stick for all the work that went into producing these amazing seeds!🙌
2/23:
Berry Bomb is all that remains from this diary, and she's READY!! I'll probably move her into the dark on Thursday and harvest her on Friday night.
2/26:
I harvested her on the night of the 26th. She was live trimmed, chopped and washed, and hung to dry.
3/2:
Still drying in the closet...smells very strongly of elderberries and gasoline.
This plant was a heavy one..very dense stinky buds that smell like a basket of elderberries floating in a vat of diesel. Very pungent. The berry flavor comes through in the smoke, but it needs to cure...too much diesel on the aftertaste for my palate. She was easy to grow and required little support despite having two massive colas. I pulled about 20g's of larfy stuff from her stalks that I'll press into some rosin in the next day or two. Very frosty stuff..should be good....
Final thoughts-
The success of this plant makes me wanna try some other Bomb Seeds strains for sure.👍
Potency: 8/10
Yield: 9/10
Flavor: 8/10
Aroma: 9/10
Bud density: 8/10
Bag-appeal: 8/10
