Hundred percent germination rate. Started in a glass of water and transferred to Peet pellets after 12 hours. One auto cheese and four auto Chem Og. Used microbial amendments for transplant. Plants are lined along front and back of 3x3 tent under a Spider Farm SF2000 LED light. 4” intake at the bottom and 6” exhaust up at light level. I have the light at 36” and just added clear plastic 1 Liter painters cups as domes and added an oscillating tower fan per GD community recommendation. I’ll update with a oscillating clip fan. Running at 70F and 65% & rising humidity. I need to detach the humidity sensor from the frame and slip it under one of the domes. I’ll update the humidity once I do.

Should I set up CO2 generator now or after the seedlings move to veg? Hoping I can wait until next pay check 😅. I’ll find the money if it’s crucial now

No point in investing in Co2 for your current setup. You will just waist your money and inject harmful Co2 into the air for no gain. Your 200w lights are not big enough to gain anything from Co2. And unless you have done your research and have been growing for awhile I would not try it. Your room needs to be basically sealed like a vacuum chamber to even start, then it’s a dangerous and tricky balance trying to balance everything in a perfectly sealed room, especially heat. Next is the fact your lights are nowhere near what you need to get anything extra. You need BIG lights for Co2. The Co2 basically allows your plant to transform the extra light through photosynthesis to energy for your buds. But if your light can only give out basically what your plant can handle already with out any Co2 added, the extra Co2 does nothing and literally blows away. Basically your plant doesn’t need it for photosynthesis because it already has enough naturally for the light you have. I ran a Co2 grow bag once under one of my 1000w lights but it was just to hard to seal the tent to keep in the Co2 and my exhaust just sucked it out. If I turned off the exhaust or scrubbed it back in the tent my temps skyrocketed! Very hard to do successfully, waste of money if your not 100% invested and have the proper grow room and equipment. Cheers💨

In the weekly tracker, I am currently in the germination phase. When do you start recording info for week 1 vegetation in the tracker? Once the shell comes off and leaves appear or after nodes show. Or do I update week one after the first full week from seed? I’m growing autos

All five of the girls have leaves. I finally figured out how to use the dimmer on my SF 2000, so I lowered the light to 36” at 40% brightness. Three out of five of the girls are very short so hopefully the reduced light will help them stretch a tiny bit. I’ll watch the Cheese and the strongest Chem OG to make sure they don’t stretch too far. They both look beautiful. Thick stems and perfect height. Update, day 6 Dropped the lights down to 24” per some community advice. Seems that it’s raising the temp and humidity a bit 👍. Used a spray bottle to dampen the medium outside of the inner 4 inch seedling circle for humidity, but not going to water for a couple of days yet. The girls are all fairly short, but their stems got thicker in the last 24. Always a good sign that roots are taking. Very surprised that the upside-down tap root seedling is even thickening up. Still too early to tell how stunted it will be. Taproot was exposed to light before I flipped it and recovered it. I may still choose to replace the runt(s) when my OG Kush auto seeds get here from Amsterdam😎. Excited to start a multi aged sea of green up in here. May remove two of the 5 gallon runts and replace them with 3 or 4 3-gallon cloth pots. Day 8 - pre-veg leaves have bulked up and seeing some true leaves coming in very soon. bought a humidifier today. Hoping that helps give the girls the boost they need. I’m starting to doubt the peat pods. Running some test seeds in peat pods and other half in soil now. So many variables and opinions, sometimes just have to figure out for yourself under current conditions

Been running my lights 24 hours a day on my seedlings. Since I am growing autos, should I be at 18 and 6 now? Or should I keep running them 24 for the first couple of weeks to help veg up little before giving rest? This is my 1st time growing autos and 1st indoor grow in 20 yrs

Here's a good video on the subject. You can make your own determination, but essentially plants can sleep with the lights on, but you may stress them out. www.youtube.com/watch

So I’m running the spider farmer SF 2000 LED. great in the summer as it puts off very little heat. Winter time here in Seattle now and my wife won’t let me turn the heat up to past 70. My seedlings are in great soil with domes, but think the temp is stunting them. Suggestions?

@trilliumtrichomes - now that shit was funny👆🤣🤣🤣. In all seriousness though dude, I think ur stress’n the details too early in the game. You got a few seedlings that are just starting out so kinda hard to tell just yet what they may or may not need. You’re climate and current environment suggest that all things are fairly optimal and no need to make any changes (although a space heater is a big help when needed. I use a small heat buddy when it’s too cold inside the box and it’s perfect for a 3x3 tent the size of a broom closet). There is one element that I would address now however and that’s your light. I run a couple SFs as well and my first suggestion is drop it down now to about 24” and crank that dimmer back up to 100%. These are terrific veg. Fixtures and I’ve never personally had need to mess with the dimmer function. I also have em I n lower headroom and run them consistently at about 16-18” in all stages - no issues. Your seedlings are just starting on those first two leaves so it’s the perfect time to start hitt’n em with all the light they can take. Although I’m not a fan of running a 24 hour straight light cycle without a break - to each their own. I usually run my auto cycles on a 20/4 light sched. Just to avoid any potential stress issues. Best I got for u dude - good luck with the grow👍😎👊

Any thoughts about growing photos with autos at 20 & 4, and then switching to 12 & 12 when the autos are done flowering. Or would it have to be 24 on until the autos are done? I came across some sherbet seeds from a good bag of store-bought weed. Super healthy looking seeds.

24 hours is too much in my opinion. Believe it or not, but plants do actually need to "sleep" and 24 hours is plain unnatural. 18/6 is probably the most I would ever give photoperiod plant personally. There is a "point of diminishing" around the 18 hour mark which means results in growing do not increase any further in relation to the amount of light received. That is to say - as more light is given up to 18 hours, there is a return of accelerated growth. After the approx. 18 hour threshold is reached, growth actually starts slowing, meaning efficiency has peaked and any extra hours of light will not produce as much accelerated growth in return. Less bang for your (power bill) bucks/dollars; if you understand what I am trying to explain. The only thing I would be worried about is that your photo plants would be having 18 hours of light for the entire time your autos are doing their thing. This could mean your photos getting 18/6 for anywhere between 8 and 14 weeks, while waiting for the autos to finish. Even 12 weeks of 18/6 with your photos could mean running out of room. Might be worth considering starting your photos only after your autos have started their flowering. Then again, if space is an issue, your autos may be too large to allow enough light to get through to your photo seedlings. All in all, for simplicities' sake, I personally would recommend doing one or the other, but it is up to you and depends on how much space you have in your growing setup. Hope this helps and my opinion is not too confusing..... Organoman. Good luck with whichever way you decide to go and happy growing.

The girls are looking pretty good. Starting to see additional layers of leaves. I allowed the cheese to dry out too far, but she is getting her color back quickly after a very light first feeding. Day 12 - The girls were ready for more food today. Still feeding at seedling strength, but bumping it up to two 2/3 strength next watering. The plants are loving the new humidifier and I am loving the new watering can Day 14 - Node production now on affect. Added some nutes and helped out a fellow grower with one of my Chem OGs. Making room for more strains

How big of pots do autos actually need? I have my current plants are 5 gallon, but it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to add any plants with those size pots. I’m planning on giving away my runt, so I will have 4x 5 gallon in the 3x3. Have 1 gallon 2 gallon and 3 gallon fabric pots

Get your 5 gallon pots and tuck them in and then staple them to make them slimmer, like you take in a pair of trousers .You Tube Vid.You could get a staple off ebay within days Sewing them would work if you have got to move them around too much.Just a thought.

The girls are starting to grow much bigger now by the day. Watering a tiny bit each day, but all of them are dry 24 hours later. The Cheese has gained some darker color now. I was slightly worried after letting her dry out too far during the seedling/veg transition. The Chem OG’s are way strong with huge water leaves. I’ll start tucking soon and possibly training. Not sure that I will have room for much training with SOG in a 3 x 3. they will be different ages, so I will be able to canopy from the center down to the walls. SF 2000 is rated for 3x4 veg and 2x3 flower. In theory it should work. But that’s the fun of it, learning from experience is the way to grow as a grower. Check and adjust, can always help another grower with the plants that won’t fit... or make brownies😂 Day 21 - are all the girls are doing well. Getting dramatically larger each day now. Had a minor nutrient burn issue from not shaking the feeding canister😅. Slight discoloration and a few tiny spots, but everything bounced back after the next feeding. Some dirt bugs were present, but sprayed the top of the soil with neem and that seemed to send them running or to their maker⚰️. Adding OG Kush and sour diesel autos to my SOG to finish the canopy for New Year’s. I’ll probably give away my sherbet photos so I don’t slow down my momentum

Working through a gnat issue and discoloration. Nothing serious, but having to make some adjustments. All things said, things are going well. I’ve started finger training and Leaf tucking. Day 27 - treated gnat issue with Diatomaceous Earth. Works great. Seeing some improvements already. First defoliation today. Today was the first day that I opened the tent and was punched in the face with the smell. Always a good feeling😎

Day 29 - Started training and tucking now. Topped the Cheese auto. It has so many flowers already that it didn’t need the center cola. The Chem are doing fine, but had more of a setback from a gnat issue Day 30- topped the Cheese Auto and staples her main 4 branches down with 6” staples. First time training😅. By far my favorite LST method Day 31- had to cut a few huge fan leaves today on my Chem OG😥. They were too large to tuck and were covering all light. Installed second light today. Now running 400 watts between 2 LED panels in my 3x3 tent. UMAX-2000 and SF2000. $80.00 on Amazon. Link below... www.amazon.com/dp/B08KY2R1T3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_F1K8Fb7S5CCQY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Day 31 - girls are loving the new light and added heat. Upped the bloom nutes and it helped as well. Damn gnats are back though. Added more diatomaceous earth. It worked well last time

Using 6 inch garden staples for some lite training on the Cheese auto. Only a little training for the Chem OG. All of them are a little behind due to a gnat infestation. I beat them with diatomaceous earth. Still waiting for final recovery. I changed my watering habits from a small amount every day to drenching every 2 to 3 days. Seems to be helping their coloring. Day 38 - Cheese auto is blowing up. Looking really good. Lots of colas forming. Her coloring could be better, but I hear that this pheno is more yellowish. Chem OG girls look better now, but I am going to kill 1 of the 3. It has always been yellow and had root damage when it came up tap root up. Didn’t see any bugs today🤞

Cheese buds are filling out nicely on the Cheese Auto from Canuk Seeds. OG Chem autos are taking a bit longer. Killing one of the OG Chem Auto runts today to make room for Pluto Cut Auto👍

Day 58 - getting crazy week. I gave all my plants nute burn and they are recovering well from that and gnats. The younger siblings had no gnats and look way better. The Cheese is an awesome plant. A little bit of training and one topping, she now has 10 or so larger colas and lots of half size in between. Chem OG is not as resilient. They are doing better, but extremely stunted from the gnats. Beautiful colors though
