Hello everyone! Following the relatively successful Zkittlez grow I did a couple of photoperiods (Bubba Kush) that also went well, and after a 2 month break, have just started my 4th grow, and 2nd diary. On 11.12.2020 I popped 3 Sensiseeds Black Lights CBD/THC autos into a wet paper towel and less than 48 hours later, had all three come through with some strong results! On 14.12.2020 I filled my Airpots with pre-wetted Biobizz Allmix, and planted the germinated seeds. By evening on the 15.12.2020 the third seed had popped out, so, a full house, with all showing their cotyledons and tiny first leaves so, the TS1000 went on (at 25%) and so did the clip-on fan. Temps are 25C and RH ~70%. Lighting left on 24 hours for first day. And so we begin, and I hope this is a fuss-free as the last autos, the Zkittlez, which were my first ever run. For this run, I intend to start nutes at around week 3 or 4, and will be using Biobizz Fishmix this time, instead of grow, although my local hydro store said it's OK to use Grow and Fishmix together, but half ml/L of each to make up what would be the 1ml/L total. I'm not sure. I may just stick to Fishmix. I have time to research a bit more and if anyone can help, please do chip in!! Looking forward to this!! 😀

End of week one... nothing much to report really! One of the 3 is runty; had the same chances, lighting and substrate as the others but is just blotchy and stunted. I'll post an update for end of week 2 shortly. *edit 02.01.2021 Pretty sure the runty girl is showing signs of nute toxicity from the Biobizz Allmix. It's the seedling bottom left on the first pic. I also have more pics on week 3.

Beginning of week 3, exactly 14 days since the seeds popped and were planted in their final pots. Growth is OK, steady... nothing dramatic yet, and I'm adding nothing in terms of nutes and won't for at least another 10 days, then it'll be Biobizz Fishmix, followed by Bloom and Topmax further down the line. The runty lady is really not good (last pic). I used everything exactly the same with the girls, but planted this a little deep when transferring to the pots. I'm using Biobizz Allmix so I wondered whether it was too hot for this girl? Thoughts??

So, my days are a little messed in terms of regularity of posting BUT the girls ARE 23 days old so, that's week 4 including germination, and week 3 of veg. I think. It's going OK I think. I now have 3 bears rather than 3 plants by which I mean, there's a baby one, a mummy one and a daddy one! Or something like that. I have retained runty girl, and she's improving, and one is going nuts and the middle girl is doing OK too. Surely it cannot be THAT hard to have 3 the same size given they all started the same, are in the same pots with the same lights, in the same medium. Or is this just a 'dirt growing "thing"'? No nutes yet - plenty left in the Biobizz Allmix I think but that said the plan is to introduce Fishmix this week now we're close to flowering, and then obviously it'll be Bloom and Topmax to the finish! Oh, and these will run with no LST or anything else other than basic defoliation from the bottom up, and some leaf tucking here and there. I had planted these out with the view to LST'ing hence the offset in the pot but have since changed my mind (and may again in the next day or two!!) The reason is simply that this is my first grow with this genetic and I want to see what she does before I try altering her, so I am not expecting huge yields, but I am expecting to learn and am recording the progress so I can hopefully improve, when it comes to running this genetic again. Thanks for reading. 😀 Edit: I'm using NOTHING but harvested rainwater for the girls, although I only started that at week two, when the heights were already different between all three, and runty girl was already properly runty, so, it's not the consideration in terms of analysis when it comes to trying to work out why they are so different. Anyhow, yeah.... rainwater because my local hydro place said "try it - it works" so I am. 05.01.2021 My rainwater is checking in at PH 6.2 so that's kinda nice. I know the Allmix will buffer but still. With my last grows I knew the mineral make up as it was on the bottle (I used bottled spring water) but I feel less confident using something that without testing, and would likely change day to day anyway, but then nature would be random anyway right?

Day 28 for the 3 bears! Started nutes (Biobizz) Fish-Mix and Grow at 0.5ml/L each and Bloom at 2ml/L Runty girl is coming on but still blotchy so, not really sure where she'll be going, by which I mean, not sure she'll flower but we'll see. I'm still using harvested rainwater. Hopefully it rains soon because the 20L I had is almost gone! Apart from runty girl, they have started flowering which is nice. As mentioned on previous entries, I am not LST'ing these because they're the first run for this genetic so I want to see how they grow before I run them again and use some proper techniques. I have done a fair amount of defoliation though, on lower, more light-obstructive leaves but that said, I am aware that being autos I really should mess with them too much, so there has also been a fair amount of leave tucking (over and over! :) ) Day 34 Near the end of week 5 since the seeds were started out and overall, I'm pretty pleased. Thoughts though, is why, or how do 3 of the same genetic, show such different signs of growth stages. I have a girl at 200mm, one at 290mm and the last at 400mm! As I've said a few times, they all have the same lights, medium, nutes and water. I'm rotating them under the lights so, it isn't a cold spot. I guess it's just nature, right? Weird though... most of my grows have been within a cm or three of each other (I usually run 3 plants at a time if I'm running auto strains), I'm wondering whether I could swap out the TS1000 for a TS2000 light after this run, but again, I think that will likely not make any difference on this run. It's going to be fun harvesting at 3 different times, because that's what is going to happen, given that it's not just heights, it's flowering stages that are different too. I think I need another tent!!

Start of week 6 now, so what's that.... day something or other, I don't know. Not much to report, other than to say runty is showing pre-flowering signs, which is getting on for 10 days to 2 weeks behind her siblings! I have rattled on about her in other posts. Week 3 and 4 mostly I think so do check those, and the pics, to read more. Increased the nutes dosing yesterday too and added Top Max and discontinued Grow (I was using a 50/50 split of Grow and Fish Mix and simply forgot to add Grow to this feed so, yeah, that's why it's not on my nutes schedule. Pictures added were taken this morning. I had to apply a little LST to the larger plant because the main stem had stretched, so, a quick bend or two and a fuzzy pipe cleaner later the canopy is more even in terms of light distance. I also carried out more defoliation, despite promising myself not to. That is what happens after 3 beers and a smoke! It wasn't severe; I'm not THAT cruel to the little autos. It just needed doing so some of what would have been popcorn and whispy shit have now gone, and I cleaned up around the lower nodes a fair bit, and finished with some tucking, for good measure. On the whole I am reasonably happy. I am now thinking however that I REALLY should get the TS2000 light because despite only having a tent with an 80cm X 80cm footprint, I think the TS2000 would hit out to the corners and edges harder than the TS1000. Happy to be told not to spend the money though, if the consensus is that I don't need more power, just more talent as a grower!! Day 39. Added a couple more pics. Two of the girls are flowering well, runty is still runty and really not doing much but she'll remain... for now! Final bit of defoliation done last night. I am not Lollipopping these but am being quite robust in terms of what I'm removing during early flowering, but that is is now. They run to the end as-is. Upped the Bloom by 0.5ml/L and introduced Top Max this week too. I also did a rainwater only watering a day or two ago, and they literally looked sad the following morning, almost like over watered, but they're not as I'm super-careful about watering and wet/dry cycles, so, can only put it down to them being hungry feeders so, I added nutes and fed as normal last night and this morning, up and praying again! Yay!!

So, forgot to update last week but I have still made an entry with a few pics that were correct for the date. This week, lots of filling out going on on plant 1. Plant 2 is still a week at least behind and the runty girl, the one I almost pulled, is into week 2 of flowering and, well, she's that far behind I'm absolutely certain that she's not going to be ready to harvest for at least 3 weeks following the others. So, how does that happen, with an auto? How can 3 plants be so different? This never happened with an other run and I have found in my limited experience that they pretty much all come on within a few days of each other! I am a bit baffled. That baffled I have literally whined on about it on almost every week entry. Yep, buds are filling out nicely. Very little smell with these, but perhaps because my last runs were Bubba Kush and Zkittlez, I've gone a bit nose blind? In terms of nutes, I am now giving them the max of all 4 Biobizz products that I use. I am also using a 50/50 split of Fish Mix and Grow. Last week, I added Calmag to the feed. I think they need it again so, I will do that prior to the entry for next week. I have a little discolouration on a few leaves which I will research but I am not overly concerned as they seem to be running as well as can be expected. I am now planning the next grow. It's a toss-up between Seedsman's 'Cream and Cheese' 1:1 THC/CBD autos or 00 Seeds 'Northern Lights' photoperiods. Plenty of defoliation happened within the early part of flowering. A teeny bit of LST to keep the canopy a bit more even. Had to install another fan as humidity was creeping a little now the watering is at 2L per day across the 3 plants. That said, it's slightly unrepresentative of actual %humidity because I only water every two days and follow a strict wet/dry cycle, so humidity is always skewed for a bit and then tapers off back down to about 45 which is still too high for my liking. Day 59. plant one is a week from harvesting I think, so things are going to get interesting in the tent now, where I have 3 plants at 3 stages, and am going to need to dry the first plant with the other two still in flower. Do you think this is of detriment - is there another place I could dry a harvested plant? I have a wardrobe that I could put a fan in... I suppose. Guess I'm just thinking aloud! :D

Well, today is the start of another week. Runty girl, pic 1, is doing her own thing. At 330mm she's way smaller than the other two still, but I am no glad I never pulled her because I think there will likely be 40g from her! The other two have put on insane bud growth this last week. I cannot get my fingers around 6 of the buds, and they are dense, too - really packed! Quite honestly I am staggered at how these have come on, despite being a week apart, which as I have said before, is going to give me a headache come harvest, with them being one at a time now. Smell is low to normal - pretty fruity inside the tent. Nothing too strong though. I would like to think that all the harvested, unfiltered rainwater and mixing Fishmix and Bloom (50/50 to Biobizz max 1ml/L) and defoliation had some effect and, well, I guess it did for these little autos. I would love to run this genetic again and see whether I could improve even more. I have never used any root treatments for my girls, they go direct to final pot, in Allmix, and then are left to work it out. My thoughts now are that perhaps I should do one transfer and start them in light mix first, then to final after a couple of weeks? So, I will start a flush on the largest girl in two days and harvest in about 8 or so - about a week and a half, at which point she'll be between 70 and 75 days from seed. Oh, they had their 3rd CalMag feed last week, too. I've been using BusyGrow Hydroponics CalMag @ 1g per 5L rainwater.

Day 70! Blimey, start of week 10 now and jeeeeeez, has this run gone quickly! There are some MASSIVE buds on these ladies and I'm somewhat pleased these were kept low and stocky because if I'd let her stretch, I would be supporting them which, given the relatively large disparity in sizes/heights between all 3 plants, would have been a real pain in the arse in terms of scrogging or any other support system. They are around 500mm tall and very stocky so are holding themselves beautifully. As I said very early on I wanted to let these autos run without too much in terms of any LST/HST, just so I have a datum by which to measure for when I run the Black Lights again which, according to Sensi Seeds may be some time as they are now out of stock. Oh well. So what else... yeah... MASSIVE buds, I hadn't really finished what I was writing; they are dense! I am not one for predicting scale weights, simply because I am such a nooooooob still that I will be wildly out for sure, but I am confident I will have beaten my last auto grow which was around 120g dry (pre-cured) when trimmed. The longest, main cola is about 180mm long and 80mm diameter, so a circumference of 250mm. Definitely my biggest buds yet! Across the 2 main plants there are 7 or 8 similarly sized colas following a teeny bit of LST. There are another 6 around 2/3rds that size, and then plenty more 3 or 4g (predicted dry weight) in size, too. The two main plants have had a significant haircut throughout early flowering and I still nip out the occasional fan leaf. Runty girly has a main cola some 200mm long now and is thickening up nicely. She has been left, like the others, with very little training, but a good deal of defoliation now. She's in the first picture. I very VERY nearly pulled her at 3 weeks as she was quite odd in terms of blotchy leaves and stunted growth but I am so glad I let her run. Last thing on the buds... last picture shows where they are in terms of Trichs. A few clear still, plenty of milky and a few amber. Tonight I will start a flush on her and I think 7 days should she her harvested. The next girl is a few days behind. Again, I strongly believe the rainwater that was exclusively used (unfiltered other than through a sieve to remove larger particulate matter) and Biobizz Fishmix are the reason for such a good grow. I just stood there and watched, frankly. Roll on harvest because I am having trouble not removing a bud for a quick nuke and taste test, and that is just a sin!! :D Thanks for reading! 😊

In the words of Porky Pig, "T t t t t ttthat's all folks" It has been fun. The Black Lights exceeded my expectations in terms of results but more of that on the review which will follow soon. Today is the start of week 11, day 77 since I placed the seed between two wet paper towels. I will be harvesting mid week, at day 80 or 81 for reference to anyone else considering running Black Lights autoflowers. I would say that 80 days from seed is as anticipated. Last Tuesday, day 74, I started the flush. Tonight the girls will be left in darkness and on Sunday, they will be chopped and wet trimmed. Wet weights won't be anything better than a guess because I will likely chop and hang the whole 3 plants due to their squat size and the fact they take up little room. That may change though - depends how much vanity I perceive in wet weights because given that they have been flushed I don't feel there's an awful lot of anything left in the main stem. A few pics added. Runty girl (last pic) should have another few days but will be getting the chop at the same time as the other two, simply because I have nowhere else to dry the plants so, better that one plant is early than the other 2 suffer as a result of letting them go, or trying to dry them in a tent with full 20hr lighting for another few days to let the final plant catch up. Well, that was my conclusion anyway! 😆

An easy to grow auto-flower, this. Just set it and forget it. Harvested at day 81. BioBizz nutes kept her all in check and I needed a CalMag supplement 4 times during the grow. She was extremely tolerant of defoliation and a little LST. Would have liked denser nugs but likely that's on me. Had one runty plant out of 3 seeds that were started in the same AllMix medium. I nearly pulled her but ended up with 47g from her so, can't complain. She did lag behind by about 10 days from the other two plants, though, so she was effectively harvested early as a result as the others were putting out amber trichs when she was 50/50 cloudy/clear.

Slightly airy buds made trimming a bit of a pain. Didn't get a wet weight that wasn't all stalk so, it seemed pointless to bother. Plant 1: 87g Plant 2: 79g Plant 3: 47g Good to fair buds came in at 160g. Some fluffy stuff, another 30g. Lot's of small buds made up the 23g remainder and are in my bag of bits for bubble hash. All now curing with Boveda and Integra Boost packs, in glass jars. Not had much of a chance to sample yet so will update this in due course, however, from what I have tasted and the ease of growing, I would be keen to repeat this 17/04/2021 update: Having had the chance to now try this strain properly, my final review is simply this: if you can get your hands on them (currently out of stock) then do; this is a fantastic strain. Fantastic pain relieving properties and a wonderful chilled out stone, too. The CBD:THC works so well. Fantastic smoke. 99% of the time I use a vape but I have made a couple of blunts in order to review and wow... just grow it yourself - you will not regret it. Fantastic strain.
