Well, today is the start of another week.
Runty girl, pic 1, is doing her own thing. At 330mm she's way smaller than the other two still, but I am no glad I never pulled her because I think there will likely be 40g from her!
The other two have put on insane bud growth this last week. I cannot get my fingers around 6 of the buds, and they are dense, too - really packed! Quite honestly I am staggered at how these have come on, despite being a week apart, which as I have said before, is going to give me a headache come harvest, with them being one at a time now.
Smell is low to normal - pretty fruity inside the tent. Nothing too strong though.
I would like to think that all the harvested, unfiltered rainwater and mixing Fishmix and Bloom (50/50 to Biobizz max 1ml/L) and defoliation had some effect and, well, I guess it did for these little autos. I would love to run this genetic again and see whether I could improve even more. I have never used any root treatments for my girls, they go direct to final pot, in Allmix, and then are left to work it out. My thoughts now are that perhaps I should do one transfer and start them in light mix first, then to final after a couple of weeks?
So, I will start a flush on the largest girl in two days and harvest in about 8 or so - about a week and a half, at which point she'll be between 70 and 75 days from seed.
Oh, they had their 3rd CalMag feed last week, too. I've been using BusyGrow Hydroponics CalMag @ 1g per 5L rainwater.
I can confirm that BioBizz All-Mix might be a little bit too hot for this strain. I grew two Black Lights CBD Autos along with two Sensi Skunk Autos on my south-facing balcony last summer. All of them were started at the same time in small cups with BioBizz Light-Mix before I put them into 11l pots with BioBizz All-Mix two weeks after germination. Although I didn't fertilize, the Black Light CBD Autos showed signs of nitrogen toxicity, while the Sensi Sunk Autos were doing fine. In the end they recovered and although it could have been better, it was still a pretty good harvest.
@StuG69,
Yeah, this is going to be interesting. Iโve also seen autoflowers go into flower early and then turn into midgets because of stress caused by cool and rainy weather conditions lasting for several weeks. However, this fortunately wonโt be a problem when growing indoors.
Anyway, itโs good to hear that your runty girl is picking up :)
This has been my favorite strain so far, btw.
Good luck!
@Krautklaus,
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I think perhaps I should have researched a little better before assuming that the straight to final pot - in Allmix - would be OK for this strain. I think assuming that as my other runs - Zkittlez autos and Bubba Kush (photoperiod) took off straight away in Allmix, the Black Lights CBD autos would too.
The above said, the runty girl is now showing signs of picking up but is still 50% behind in terms of size compared to the other two, but I am glad that I resisted the urge to pull her. It'll become interesting come harvest, if I have to run her extra time to flower as I use my tent for drying so I may have to start thinking of a plan B! ๐
@MarsHydroLED,
Hey, thanks! Loving the light - really get great results from the TS1000. Is the TS2000 that much of a step up for a 80cm X 80cm area? I can get 3 plants under the TS1000 but think maybe I could get at least one more with the TS2000 in the same space? Or maybe I should get a 1M X 1M tent and then run the TS2000 in it?
Thanks again. ๐
