Tips for bigger yields

Hey gardener, back in the day I remember the old folks telling me not to remove the leaves, but today when I read the growing guides I come across this: defoliation. I say that removing the leaves messes up your plant, plants breathe through their leaves. Personally, I don't like it. bella cia

you really dont want to mess with a plant that's doing well as much as possible. Just defoliate approx 1 or 2 weeks before you flip to flower and one more time after the flower stretch if absolutely required, and it's basically almost never required. The best you can do to promote big buds and so on is actually lollipopping meaning removeing the bottom or bottom two flower nodes by using for example a razor blade once they start to appear. Your plant is still pretty well laid out and not super bushy yet. I would hold off on defoliating or if you really want to do some, only do a little at a time to stress it less. being an auto any stress is not good. stress slows growth and autos only grow so much in their fixed life cycle. I would personally wait a little longer until it is done stretching and then start moving and tucking any large leaves blocking bud sites out of the way. If you cant easily move or tuck the leaves out of the way slowly remove them a little at a time.
