Hi, I am growing a Bluberry by DP which are apparently hard to grow. I live in a soft water area so add 0.5ml CALMAG every feed when on normal nutes. I notice the new leaves are are reveling very pale. Could this be due to my soft water and should I add CALMAG yet? Thanks.

Hi @DankGenes! New growth being paler than old leaves is totally normal. If the problem remains and/or spread onto older leaves, then you're having a Sulfur or Nitrogen deficiency. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

it's a young plant so it's pretty much normal at this point, it will fill out nicely in a few weeks' time. you're all good man. just keep doing what you're doing. Btw, for color, what you want to do is temperature diference between night/day ... that's what's hard. the rest is just growen ! fgood luck man !

Morning. You have soft water...do you additionally have a water softener attached to your water lines(vegas is notorious for these)? Softened water has very high sodium content, so not only will salt buildup cause potential nutrient lockout , but it will also trick the plant into thinking it has enough water when it's actually constantly thirsty. If you can get your city water analysis that might help, also the ec ppm like mentioned. Otherwise you may want to invest in using ro water. Best of luck happy growing.

I calMag mine EVERY time I water/feed... you could be giving her a small dose 1ml-2.5 is the highest. Also check your PH water...but they look fine to me.. Witchy Wishes for a great grow!

At this age I’d suspect you are doing too much with regards to nutes and cal mag. The soil should have enough nutrients in it to support the plant for at least 3-4 weeks by itself. I’d recommend trying water only for a couple of weeks. Good luck! 👍

Guessing will not help you at all. Get a pH pen and an EC/PPM meter. At this stage give them no more than 0.15EC worth of cal mag, but if your water EC is higher than that, then don't. Before adding anything be sure your pH is where it should be. And 0.5 ml per liter at this stage is too much.
