Hello @GrowGreen . Well if the space is your only concern you should try to use a peltier water cooling system ( thermo electric module ). It is basically a solid state heat pump. I use one of these ( https://www.aliexpress.com/item/12V-240W-Semiconductor-electronic-Parr-Peltier-refrigeration-film-air-conditioning-water-cooling-cold-Aluminum-radiator-fan/32587957306.html?spm=2114.10010108.1000023.8.5ced696eIwqa8u ) with thermostat for every 25-40 liters of solution ( depending from the season ) that i want to keep cool. These modules can achieve really low temperatures. I also use it for DIY CPU water cooling. It makes things really cold. Happy growing !đ

there's no easy way to keep the system cooler in the summer. I had so many issues and i'm in soil. You want to keep your roots cool though that's for sure. BAsically the only way is to throw some ice in the tank. and keep filling it out... constantly... over and over... no breaks, no vacations... I'm sorry man, it's not a pleasant answer to hear... but it's what i've got.

You could take a container thats big enough for your plant to fit into, like a 18gal storage tote. Place you plant and container that it's in, in to the 18gal tote or whatever you have and fill it up with cold water. Now go freeze 5-6 2liter bottles of water or how ever many you can fit in your freezer. Once frozen add 2 or 3 2liter bottles to the tote to keep the water in the tote cold in turn cooling your plants res. Just keep changing out 2liter bottles when thawed. It works OK for a single plant but you just need to figure out how long the bottles last. Good luck!
