yeah it's important to trust your tools, mine broke so quick so i feel ya ! on the other hand you really going to invest in an industrial one? i bought a 10 dollar one, was considering getting another... but in the end went with a chineese bluetooth thing called flower care (check the app) . it measures light, its a hygrometer, temp and EC in real time and you plant it in your soil so you can get the reading of the soil without bothering with runoff measurements.... Cool right? Hope this helps ?

I bought a set of PH & PPM meters from Amazon for about $20 for the pair. They seem to work OK, but one of the meters broke within a month, so I contacted them and they sent me a replacement set. Not mentioning the brand since I do expect them to fail again at some point requiring me to purchase something else. I guess you probably need to spend more than $20 for something more reliable. Let us know what you end up with and if you like it.
