Hi saw the taproot sprout and planted it in my final container. I wanted to ask since i have no other options can i start the seedling under a 400W HPS. It will be about 3 feet away from the plant is this okay? And should i start with 6 hrs and work my way up to 18 hrs gradually

No start at 18/6. And yes you can use hps but mh is recommended for veg. You will have more stretch using hps. But as long as u keep your grow light at the right distance u can use it for germination/seedling stage

When doing defoilation I teilled off all the fan leaves except four at each top. My question is how much of the other branches should I trim off too? Also, should you trim a bit at a time so there is not much shock or everything at once? Any advice is appreciated. Cheers.
