Hello ! In your case you can remove 2 or 3 leaves that are blocking light to bud sites but after 4 weeks of flowering I would be careful with everything I remove from a plant. If your plant looks healthy It's easier for her to recover from pruning and if she's unhealthy you can remove damaged leaves but less than with a healthy plant (to me). You also have the possibilities to knit the leaves together ( I made a short video on Instagram to show how to do a leaves knitting ). I hope it will help you πŸ˜πŸ‘

Ah its the dreaded question ChillumMafia! Personally I Top super crop and LST autos, but I do not ever defoliate. Other than lolipopping to direct more nutrients to the apical nodes for larger buds defoliation only offers a way of increasing light penetration and that can be done simply with less intrusive ways like LST or tucking into a scrog. At this stage in flower I wouldn't suggest anything other than a Low stress methods. I hope this wall of text helps haha πŸ˜›

For sure you can tuck always( some) leaves that block the LIght. if you do it think that the plant tries to reproduce each grow ypu pick aside. In you case i see atm no reason for taking awyay leaves, between the nodes are a lot of pace and floer get enough light. greetings

Hi @ChillumMafia! To me, defoliation is always a positive thing, if done slightly and intelligently. Things to consider: Is the plant leafy/bushy or not? Is the plant healthy? Which leaves are creating shades? Are shades hiding popcorn buds or potential big colas from the light? In your case, the plants are tall and all stems seem to have a good airflow, I don't see any big cola under a leaf, so maybe you could tuck a few leaves but there's no need for a serious defoliation. Hope this makes sense, keep us up-to-date and happy growing πŸ‘Š

hey man people say you should remove leaves that block the light but to be honest there is not much truth in that because the plant is an expert at taking the energy from the leaves and sharing it correctly. taking the leaves out for you it's nothing but for the plant it's high stress, the best actually is to remove the little flower nodes down below because they maybe will stay small and if you remove them the other flowers will get bigger, so i would say if the leaves are healthy, just leave them there because they are doing their job. Anyway the difference will not be huge at this stage, but the more leaves the more energy that the plant takes from the light, more energy fatter and quicker buds - simple ! πŸš€
