Hi all , another daft question for you all 😎. I’ve harvested one plant today weighing 390g before removing stems and 314 after . What dot you estimate her dry weight to be ? And how long ?. Like the Diy drying rack ? 😂

Hi there! If it is 314g without trimming I'd say you'll have maybe 50g dried and trimmed buds. From my experience the dry weight of buds are something between 60-80% of wet weight, depending on the density etc. Now that you have lots of wet leaves too in the scale. Just my two cents. Please tell the dry weight when you know it

I'll throw in a guess. 60-70 grams, dry. Happy dry and cure!

1/5 to 1/4 usually. So around 70 grams! Make sure your buds aren't sticking together on the rack, stagnant air is a killer, while buds are still wet. I do a 5 day dry at 40-50% humidity, with good airflow and circulation.

10% is a good estimate to go with.

Harbinger thanks , I’ve got it in a small tent with a 5” intake fan blowing through them that flows into the main tent this will then filter and exhaust out . Keeping a decent flow through them . I’m thinking I may add a couple more racks to space the buds out more

Sorry meant a proper dry takes.. Curing is 2-3 months of being in jars.

the rack while a great idea.. In practice is not so great. You want air to circulate around the buds to dry properly. It's really hard to say for someone how long a proper cure takes.. In winter It's around 9-10 days for me and in summer it can be as short as 6. Curing and Drying is just as important as growing and good curing/drying practices can produce better quality buds.

1/5th? maybe 1/4th? Nearly all weight is water, and some remains. just like you are 80% water by mass. Plants are likely a bit higher proportion, i bet. plus, all the trim weight.
