I've got over half brown roots no slime smell fine res temps 21-19 when I'm checking once a day. Room temperature flux between 25 when on 17 off. Is this the start of root rot or am I just stressing over nothing.

Hello @Stooooned. Nah, it isn't. But if you want to take some preventive measures you can add trichoderma harzianum (its an aggressive fungus) like bioponic mix from GHE. Then stop it and add a mycorrhiza . After the mycorrhiza has establish and you have a simple DWC system ( not under current that uses water pumps ) you can give in the bucket a compost tea. It will make your roots very white. Happy growing ! 👊

Hi @Stooooned! Hard to say without any pictures but it sounds like root-rot. Are you sure your air-pump is still 100% working? Are you sure there's absolutely no light coming through your reservoir? How often do you fully change the solution in your reservoir? As an emergency move, you can prune the brown roots, keep the most healthy parts, and see how it goes. Take some closeup pictures so we'll be able to refine the diagnosis and help you to adjust your parameters. Happy growing 👊

hey if you got the root rot in time then you know better than us, especially without pics. right around now in the grow you want to be doing a fair amount of root pruning or even air pruning if you can spare the effort, really helps that DWC really dig in. Good luck prunen ! 🚀
