Remove or tie down fan leaves?

Hi guys, what's the better option, removing big ass fan leaves to give bud nodes more exposure to light or tie fan leaves down? I tied a few down but don't know if that's a good idea. Help is greatly appreciated ;)

Once mine get into aggressive veg growth I remove about 1/2 the fan leaves, leaving some for photosynthesis. The rest if they're really shading lower growth you can tie or tuck out of the way.

Personally I would wait until its budding before removing leaves, they need all the light they can get whilst vegging.

I use a bit of both. If I can tuck or tie I will but sometimes you just hand to take one or two off. 👍🌱

If they are autos you can remove some leaves, just don't go crazy, especially once you start seeing pistils. If they are photos, you can defoliate the hell out of them several times, before you flip to flower.
